I was away with Storm and loved it.. too much. I have talked about moving ever since.
Was it the people, vibe,  mood, weather, lack of children screaming in the neighbours yard, the house prices? LoL All of the above!  
Or was it that Keswick feels like a 'police state' some days and it started last summer.

If you remember we had a bylaw officer 'approach' us regarding our boat. An altercation that was rude and unpleasant and uncalled for. It's been addressed. No apologies ever given  (from the person mentioned) and more bullshit followed after - drive by photo taking, letter - registered 2 - all at our tax dollar.  Constant threat of harassment - in my mind - I'm entitled to an opinion.  Or am I?

I looked into it. Do you believe in this area of Georgina - you are NOT permitted to have a boat parked in your driveway at ANY  time!  The towns main website - Welcome to Georgina image - is of BOATS.  Take a walk, drive on any side  street and a boat will be found, a trailer, camper and sometimes 'stuff'. Oh well... Do you pay my property taxes? 
Is my STUFF physically hurting you?

Our problem was solved. My handy dandy hubby built a new gate and we now park the boat beside our home - our property allowed for it and more- I don't even see the boat in the back yard- so, let it go.   NO. 
How unfair is this bylaw? For over 22 years we have been here many of those years with a boat, never a peep. Yes, it is just a coincidence the bylaw officer just happens to live down the street- and I did ask if they were making 'the quota on the way to work...',  I was told no.  I tell you when they left that day - they left with attitude! I got my letters in writing 'move it or else' and then it was made sure my boat was moved or "you could go to court, and if a judge sees fit, you could go to jail.' As we were told by a bylaw officer - over a F&^%*&g boat.  How many others will be harmed/stressed over a boat? Then - the local paper said someone was putting letters in mailboxes, encouraging people to rat on neighbours who had items in their drive way. I HOPE they have investigated where these letters are from - and who is trespassing on all our properties at night- COWARDS btw. If you have something to say say it.  We have a name for those people here in Canada.. I believe it it "Shit disturbers" People with nothing better to do but stir up trouble for others. 
For over 20 years the town has been able to ticket whom ever they choose - for what ever reasons they choose & justify it with - "someone complained - but we can't tell you who". WTF is that? Yet how many have never been ticketed? Unfair YOU BET! 
Ticket us all or none and then watch how fast the bylaw is changed and dismissed!
When everyone becomes aware.
Our problem is solved but for many more - it is not, and it's just begun.

On top of this - this week I read the town 'is discussing' of possibly introducing a new bylaw ' from what I understand (you can read more on the link and figure it out for yourself):  if you say something bad about someone,  on the town committee, staff etc. - say the mayor - and bylaw officer or you ruin their 'reputation'  (lol) the town wants to be able to sue you and make you pay for it!!!    So YOU better only say good things.  Welcome to' Kesrock' as in Alcatraz.   Are you kidding me? Are the court systems not crazy enough? 
Hurt someones reputation? Please! 
Who are we dealing with Mother Theresa?  What a bunch of *&^%% babies! 
Oh but wait, I might be sued over this.  Can you imagine if Rob Ford was this way?

Someone concerned about what people can say on social media. 
We have a new Mayor - I asked her for help regarding the boat thing and I was fluffed off. Again - in my opinion.
I like Margaret, I met her years ago a few times.. so again I let that go.

I've saved all my letters and communication even from the bylaw officer - who responded to my initial complaint - assuring me I was wrong - WOW - 
I laughed out loud when a superior said - 'I've never heard anything bad.'
No, I guess not - how many people go around and display bad behaviour to their employer. It never happens... right.  How many even get past the complaint, when the one you complain against addresses it?  I showed a friend I think we came to the conclusion of slight intimidation process going on - It's what I felt, so yes I guess it was. 

IF your reputation is ruined. You ruined it. Simple.
Actions speak louder than words.

What kind of a community  puts letters in mailboxes at night, fines people for having boats - this is Keswick! ON LAKE SIMCOE.  All of georgina - are you going to tell them they all have to move their boats? Cars, trailers, toys, stuff?  
Welcome to living amongst fascist - if you say something they don't like they will sue you & make you pay for it. If your property is not pretty enough they will make you pay!  
If someone complains -  say a neighbour with a grudge- too bad- you don't have the right to know.

I have a reputation, ask people. 
Some will tell you I am kind, generous, funny and will go to any length to help you if I can- strangers too. 
Others will tell you I am a bitch. I try to bring attention to unjust actions like cannabis for  very ill children and not being able to park your own boat in your own driveway, and NOT tolerating RUDE bylaw officers who work for the people they address, adding extra stress to already stressful lives.
Have some common consideration.
Yeah - whatever. I don't care about my reputation... 
I certainly would never sue anyone, over saying I was something I know I AM NOT.

Sunday we had a trip to the city planned, visit a few stores and see a couple of friends.
I had it in my mind how the day would go.  It went another way.
Storm and I had a good day and did see some people we have not seen in a while,  & it was great to say Hello and catch up a bit.
But the day had an event that really stuck in my head. Enough to draw it.

I suggested to Storm that we find an outdoor patio so that I could medicate. Which was badly needed. Young st. was busy - what else is knew... the level of poor was new, to me anyhow. Everything you see in the cartoon is TRUE and more.  It was a visual smorgasbord!   

The color, the people, the noise were slightly overwhelming as it is but when we finally found an empty patio and had just ordered a coffee, was about to medicate, I heard this strange beeping...  you know s sound you know but are not sure where....

I turned to see a woman in a hospital gown, no shoes on her feet... walking towards us - with an IV pole - she was hooked up. The blood backed up into the line connecting to her arm.  The machine on the IV pole beeping! 

I instantly thought of TIFF and thought it might be some stunt.. 
She walked right where we were sitting, when an EMT worker pulled up beside her and started to question her. We were sitting right beside her.

He was nice and asked her where she was going, he said she had walked 5 km from a hospital?!  5 km and no one stopped her? No one asked her where she was going or what she was doing. ;(  The conversation continued and he expressed concern about the IV Pole  stating a few times “it’s worth about $3,000...  “  I was thinking - buddy - she is in her hospital gown in the middle of young street attached to an IV POLE do you think she was thinking about the cost?

Well a couple of police cars later... she had slid down the railing where we were sitting almost within touching distance.. she did turn and say “sorry”

I told her she had no need to apologize.  I felt bad for her. She was here from Alberta, no family, at a shelter and sick., She had a bad infection and was in the hospital to get better. It is great in this country she can be treated!  I get it bout the IV Pole.. but really? What has played on my mind is the fact that he got so far. How sad. :( So many people just ignoring everything. stepping over the poor liek they re trash on the street. 

I bet people looked at her  when she was not looking and they thought she must be crazy. Who is cray? THOSE who see and do NOTHING are the closest to mad there is. No compassion.

I did not leave, We sat there. I at one point thought the conversation might have gone differently if she were alone. The other officer made a point about asking her is she had been in trouble and  also the cost of the Pole.
Then they talked about how they needed bigger cars. 

An ambulance finally arrived and she had to go back. Back to where she was so very tired of.  I don’t have the answers. Better security at the hospitals?

This cartoon is full of mental illness. Alcohol abuse. Sexual obsession,  Shopaholics. The rich and the poor. People together but a great percentage alone.  Many on phones. Obese people getting more obese on the takeout  Blvd. as they stroll past a woman begging for food. 

Everyone in their own world.

It occurred to me, how so many are still very ‘concerned’ about labels and not the ones they should be.  I recently had someone talk to me - he was ‘asking for a friend... ‘, really - and the friend has a child who is experiencing grand mal seizures. Well, apparently he is thinking about cannabis but “is worried about the kid getting stoned.”
Really?

I do not understand how a parent of a child  can watch them have a grand mal seizure  but are afraid to see them ‘high’? What ever that may be in their mind.  
Then there is the medicine. How is that o.k. to start to watch your child become a pharmaceutical junky?  BEFORE you would look into cannabis? A plant. Never been recorded for causing a death, certainly not by anyone using for pain, nausea, epilepsy, cancer... It’s endless.  

Don’t believe me? Google it.
Wait! God forbid someone find out your googling ‘cannabis’!  That would make you a ‘stoner’!? LABELS.  We are less consumed with what actually goes into out bodies, and can cause us damage from the inside out.  The labels - ‘name calling’ bulling - for lack of a better word, can cause many problems as well. STRESS. 

The sooner we learn we are not responsible for how anyone else thinks about us the better off we will be. I know people I have met and like and later find out - they don’t like me. Go figure LOL  In the past I just might ponder that. Now, I have better things to ponder. :) Love, Peace and Happiness.  
I’m not saying a child cannot benefit from  western medication. Although, I am not longer convinced this is the golden rule.   As parents WE are ‘the gatekeepers’ and the first thing we can do - as ‘hoaky’ as it is is give our kids the key to success - EDUCATION! I’m NOT saying university- I believe it is NOT for everyone. Just encourage learning and passion and teach them about consequences..
I am not preaching, I am praying out loud.
There are so many already messed up people that were probably messed up as kids - but they don’t all grow up nasty and mean.

A very interesting history based on lies. Of course, it involves money and corporations keeping it under control. Now that it has been exposed, what is the problem?
We are witnessing daily how it is helping save the lives of children around the world, 
trust me - I am paying very close attention, as should you.  It is helping ease suffering of millions around the world. Still we are faced with lies and excuses. 

To get material, I find I am faced daily with facts about death from drugs. 
NEVER cannabis!  Prescribed medications, use of them recreationally & PROPERLY, chemical cocktails are killing our elderly- and not gracefully!!!  Illegal pills, METH, Alcohol <we all know that. Tobacco, sugar, junk food.. it is just insane the things that are worse for you than cannabis.  How have we been so ‘duped’ for so long?

I think to myself lately, I want to pull a Bill Watterson so bad you have no idea. ;)
I’m done.. but I can’t.  
I see my son, I see him having a life because of a plant. I see him and I know when he is in pain, I know that for most of the time he can control it with a plant. That and rest, appear to be the simple recipe for Storm. He is tired of pain. 

I know so many that need it as their medicine, need it to help them move ON! 
MOVE PAST and KEEP going. I am one of them. 
It appears I have a movement disorder that just won’t quit. I have constant twitching, electrical zapping in my brain 24/7 with very short breaks in between & trigeminal neuralgia  thrown in about 7 times  day. 

Before I sat to ink this drawing I smoked a joint to calm it down,  it does not calm the movement as much as it calms my mind and allows me to think clearly. Ironically.  Amen.  

I have a meeting regarding some work with someone, and I think ‘I must have a bonk hit right before’. This is not to get high.  This is my life and I thank God for it - for every second that I remain here with my son and husband and dogs and you.

I do get great e mail from strangers all around the world from time to time, just when I feel I need it ;) We all need to be appreciated. Thank you.

But, I have to draw about more,  it is about so much more. 
Cannabis is just a distraction. One big PRANK, by big brother.

The Lies they tell, the money & time wasted on a failing DRUG war that will never be under control, the lives we don’t save.  Trafficking drugs or trafficking people... where the f*ck have our priorities gone and why are we letting this happen?

My friend Todd...
I have blogged about Todd before. I believe everything and everyone for a reason. I first met Todd at an EXPO and he 'called me' on something -  something I offered in my newsletter-  to make a long story short - he got my attention, we struck up a conversation and today I am honored to call him and his family friends.

I have one right here on my desk to remind me daily of the injustise my friend faces (in the image above) Tennessee Department of Revenue -UNAUTHORIZED SUBSTANCE STAMP(s).. and guess what friends, they don't come cheap.  Todd has been playing by the rules, openly goes & pays for his stamps and they know what he has been growing. Todd even has a website he promotes- In other words...
*** IT'S BEEN NO BIG SECRET -  BUT not too long ago they still busted his door in and held a gun to his daughters head and arrested Todd.  You can research it all yourself or contact Todd, he has nothing to hide.
Shortly after being busted, his younger daughter Ariel was rushed to hospital  with pain in her abdomen only to find out she had cancer. She has undergone extensive surgeries and  cancer treatments. 
Todd has much going on.. His court date is July 14th. 2014.  
He does not know if he will go to jail very soon and what his he doing - he is MARCHING!  We are close, when this bust happened and I first spoke with Todd, he was frightened (how can one not be), now, I am witnessing a different Todd, one who knows he did nothing wrong and is tired of being pushed around and is tired of watching everyone being pushed around - for what?   NOW - A substance only a couple of states away is celebrated. 
 It is ridiculous!  
I am sure people who know Todd are thinking, why did'nt she draw Todd walking...

When they recalled OXY and made the new - did Health Canada ask that people put the old in the trash?  I think Not.
As of tomorrow patients (approximately 40,000), some terminally ill, all over Canada turn into Criminals in the eyes of Health Canada and our corrupt Steven Harper. If they continue to grow their own medicine they can be arrested & face jail time.
 Medicine that Health Canada did in fact allow them to grow for decades. Now forced to purchase a less quality (in many cases) medicine, with less control and at an escalated price, forcing many to return to prescribed drugs - simply because they can no longer afford the 'safer' alternative, cannabis.

There is an injunction of course, from the Supreme Court of Canada saying that patients can still grow their medicine until a court rules otherwise, but Health Canada has already expressed intention to which they wish to ignore. Tomorrow is the day. So be it.
No one can and no one will ever, make us feel like criminals.  God has us on this path and I'M NOT BUDGING. Would you? What if it is was your child? 
Tomorrow "let the shit hit the fan", and focus on all that can go right!!!

The only criminals here are those in power, hurting already suffering Canadians for the all mighty dollar. FACT.

Storm was my gift the second my Dr. told me on my birthday I was pregnant.
I never forget He is the best gift I have ever been blessed with.

So A MOM first is what I am and I say to Storm all the time:  
PLEASE DONT DRINK and drive!!! We all say this to our young adults.
       We should be. We all need the reminder and Tis the season.
So many parents lose their children to alcohol and driving and let’s face it 

Tis The SEASON! CHEERS!!!  HO HO HOpe I don’t run into R.I.D.E.

Don’t drive if you are taking OXY and you feel high.
Don’t drive if you are taking cold medicine! That stuff use to knock me on my ASS!
Don’t drive if you are sick and can’t focus and feel like shit!
Don’t drive IF you feel impaired in any way! 

I DONT Drive. - Which really sucks because Norm promised me a smart car for my 50th. But the last time I had the truck out I had an attack in a drive-through and felt really uncomfortable!! It is NOT worth it. Not just for me but for others. 

PLEASE do not drive if ‘impaired’.  *IMPAIRED = ON CELLPHONE!! 

ALL of these reasons kill more daily than a driver strictly on cannabis.
I have yet to read of a case. 
Cannabis for many - especially those in chronic pain helps them to Function & Focus- as does many medication for many people. I also know of a few that use it for anxiety of city driving! 

I believe a driver should be judged by his actions rather than his medicine. 
IT IS OUR OWN CHOICE to get behind a wheel. 
With our Canadian winters we have enough difficulty driving *like the 20 car pile up just this past week on the QEW. So please.. not even Cannabis. IF.

***CANADA'S NEW MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAWS: 
      WHAT ARE THEY REALLY ABOUT?


On March 13, 2014 the current medical marijuana laws in Canada will end and an entirely new system of laws concerning medical marijuana will take effect. The current laws allow those registered as medical marijuana patients to grow their own marijuana or to buy government produced marijuana from authorized pharmacies. Under the new laws that go into effect in a few months, medical marijuana patients will no longer be permitted to grow their own marijuana and the government will no longer produce marijuana, nor will pharmacists be involved in the sale of medical marijuana to patients.

The legal reasons stated for this drastic change in the medical marijuana laws in Canada are listed as public health, safety and security issues. Despite reading many articles and trying to discover these alleged public health, safety and security issues, one is hard pressed to find a single article describing exactly what those issues are. There were a few (very few) growers who had fires break out. Those were all related to poor wiring. Electrical issues are easy to cure and simple compliance inspections of grow operations would remove that issue from the table. As for public health and security, there was nothing describing exactly what they are, just the generic legal umbrella under which the politicians are able to enact new and stricter laws.                                                                         So why the need to fix that which is not broken?

There are currently 37,359 registered medical marijuana patients in Canada. That number is much higher than the 477 registered medical marijuana patients in 2002 evidencing the need for medical marijuana. Of those 37,359 registered medical marijuana patients, 25,600 are licensed to grow their own medical marijuana. Of those 25,600 licensed to grow their own medical marijuana, only 4,200 are specifically licensed to grow for one (and only one) other registered patient besides themselves. All of these rights will be stripped away from Canadian medical marijuana patients as of March 13, 2014.

Under the new laws there are currently 156 applications awaiting approval to grow medical marijuana on a much larger scale in huge warehouses. These warehouses will be owned and operated by those entrepreneurs with enough money to buy the licenses, the warehouses, the property on which the warehouses sit, the massive costs of filling that space with the maximum lighting possible and to employ a staff large enough to grow, trim and prepare the medical marijuana for public sale and to distribute it. With private sector businesses, profits tend to be the overriding priority rather than producing a high quality product that is organic and safe.

Under the new laws patients will be permitted to purchase medical marijuana from these massive warehouse farms. All sales will be through a mail order system and thoroughly regulated. The regulations only apply to the amount of marijuana sold and the income the entrepreneurs take in. These strict regulations will not cover the quality of medical marijuana grown nor the non-organic fertilizers and pesticides used to grow the marijuana to produce ever larger and more profitable plants. This puts unsuspecting (and already burdened with health issues) patients at further risk of ingesting marijuana and medical marijuana products that essentially contain poisons detrimental to their already deteriorating health.

Health Canada's current average price of medical marijuana is approximately $5 per gram. The projected cost of private sector medical marijuana after the new laws take effect in March is expected to be about $7.60 per gram. CannaMed, the first licensed distributor in the private sector is currently advertising their medical marijuana at a cost of $9 to $12 per gram once the new laws go into effect. Keep in mind that the current black market cost of marijuana in Canada is approximately $10 to $15 per gram. No matter how one tries to make sense of these new laws, they fail to address any alleged public health, safety or security issues. They also have the added disadvantage of driving up the cost of medical marijuana for patients. These patients are often already financially strapped due to their varying medical issues. 

So why the sudden change in medical marijuana laws that seemed to be working so well according to the patients who are the intended beneficiaries of these medical marijuana laws? It is simply a desire for profits. Health Canada has projected that by 2014 there will be 58,000 registered medical marijuana patients. They further project that by 2024 there will be 450,000 registered medical marijuana patients in Canada. Health Canada has estimated that by 2024 the medical marijuana industry will be a 1.3 billion dollar per year market. That 1.3 billion dollar per year market will all be taxed at a higher rate, a luxury tax, and not as a medical necessity. 

It appears to be obvious that the only reason for the change of the current medical marijuana laws in Canada is related to revenue collection and has little (or nothing) to do with any issues of public health, safety or security. Sadly, this massive change of the current and well functioning medical marijuana laws in Canada is more about a healthy economy than about a healthy population of Canadian citizens.

WTF is wrong  with police? I am shattered when I read stuff like this. I would  like to believe it does not happen. Not in Canada, let alone 30 minutes drive from where we live!?  I grew up respecting the police . believing in the police - that they would help me and protect me. I even dated a couple. ;-) So when I read about police brutality like this it blows my mind!

Then to read he ONLY GETS A YEAR! WTF? This is someone we trust, do you see how he keeps beating this poor man? AND you bet he is afraid! I would be too. This police officer will be back to work after his sentence?? WILL he even serve a DAY? This is a nightmare - imagine if someone was medicating and  met this sort of police officer!? 
For example if it was someone like my son that had a bone disease - a break can mean  more pain for him and improper healing, leading to a life full of even more pain and talk about PTSD.   He should serve MORE time IMO.

What kind of police training do you need!? What kind of education do you need to be a police officer?  Is there ANY  compassion test they take? Could they have not knockedthe butter knife out of her hands with a stick? COME ON!  She was tazerd twice which can only lead me to believe it was a knee jerk reaction of the other police officer - after she was already down? So many questions. I hope I'm not the only one asking. What IF it was YOUR son... what if it was your mom? We need to think like that, because it very well might be one day. 

According to Health Canada now it will be easier for patients to access medicine (they can no longer afford) via Canada Post.  Visit the distributor ONLINE, order and it comes in the mail. Woot Woot!    "It's in the mail... "  will take on an entirely new meaning.

We had a family conversation about this the other night and had many  interesting thoughts. FIRST of all theft.  From Postal workers and others watching postal workers or patients that share information unknowingly, the possibilities are endless.

The Postal System does indeed have theft problems. Who does not? 
To say they don’t would be like saying there is no such thing is a corrupt cop or a  pedophile priest. I WISH it was not true in any case.  
Lead us not into temptation. That is exactly what Health Canada has done.

I have had problems with the mail we all have. Let alone returning crappy products.

O.k. never mind that - ‘one bad apple don’t spoil the whole bunch’ - more importantly,  the safety of these postal workers. 
Why are we NOT reading anything about this?

I am also worried about my friend - she lives alone (in a ‘troubled’ area of Toronto)  in a large building and is concerned she will become a target. I understand completely and would feel the same. It is just ONE MORE added stress many patients do not need or WANT. 

How about a Postal strike?
Insurance  for “LOST Mail”- Big deal, what will insurance mean to me when I am hurting without my medication?

 Perfect timing, visiting a friend and she was reading this article, I love it when everything literally falls into place. 

This article in national geographic is one of the best at explaining sugar, IMO. 
Sugar is considered as dangerous as the tobacco industry and as ruthless. 
I personally had no idea sugar was in so much and for years fell into the fat free frenzy. 
I believe the best blessings come in disguise - it was not until I became ILL that I started to eat healthier, fresh, organic and now, after I eat this last peanut butter cup- more sugarless!

When Storm was little I was guilty of sugar ignorance. Now addicted, mostly for the foods I Introduced into his life and diet (shitty gatekeeper)  all I can do now is make all our meals healthier, shop for the best ingredients and educate. Storm is great he is the most health conscience of all of us.

ASK anyone. We still argue weekly, over his eating habit, he will go an entire day eating only candy - HIS choice. Only last week I said it quite simply - “If at the age of 51 knowing all we know about food, health, etc, - and if he lives in this house - HE DOES, yet he still will choose to consume an entire bag of twizzlers for lunch - Oh well. I have no control over him or his choices. Twizzle away. Make sure the insurance is paid.”

 What else can one do? Generations have been brain washed and force fed without even realizing it. 

EVEN with what I know I STILL WILL have this peanut butter cup.  I am addicted.

Alcohol, either from being introduced  for a celebration or kids ‘sneaking’ alcohol is a common practice in many households. Alcohol addiction is one of the worst in the world. Tobacco, as with alcohol is usually first introduced by a family member.

A stoner. Well I think of a stoner kinda the same lines as a drunk. When the substance becomes used and abused. It is a fact. I wish it was not.  I believe more than anything  above all it is the person not the plant - the person not the booze <excuses.

It is difficult when I talk about stoners as I still do not consider them ever 'as bad as a drunk'.  Many just want to CHILL and so be it. But many get stuck there. Now to blame cannabis is unfair. It is easy to get stuck, and dependent on many substances. 

Sugar, fat, alcohol. Cannabis   I have a friend who says she can’t go without her bowl of cereal every day. I don’t think I do anything every day - DRAW if I’m lucky, 

It has been a problem for years but again based on lies.  It does make it difficult for those that NEED Cannabis as a medicine.  People  have only seen what the media has wanted them too, every rally a stoner with a bong and not usually much to say, other than lets get HIGH!  They are usually the ones that get busted with much more than grass.  We need to educate people on ALL drugs ON  Addiction. In elementary school, teach them how our lives can go. By grade 5,  I’d say many are pretty aware of more than most parents realize. I use to see it in thier drawings and hear it in imaginations during cartooning classes. NEVER mind what they see on television a hundred times a week.

I am so thrilled with the Dr. S. Gupta special!  Information I have learned & NOW many more in the world will witness and coming from a respected Dr. More will believe. I think it is brave of him to  bring to attention he patent on Cannabis the Americans have. Hypocrites

Please do - you might be saving someone’s life.  I agreed with  kids not using it if they don’t have to - I think that goes for all substances that can impair GLUE sniffing is worse that cannabis so - keep it in perspective and the NUMBER one abused drug in most  schools right now is PRESCRIBED medications.  NOT Cannabis.

Final opinion on all this really is:

Last night I had a small panic attack... at the thought of not having any medicine.
I am running low and must 'ration'. 
When & IF the new changes take effect we will no longer be in control of our medication we put into our bodies. The strains that best help our conditions might not be available - and it’s been a while for me to find them in particular for what eases my twitch.  We will ACCORDING to Health Canada have to pay much more, another stress to me as my husband is pretty much the sole income earner since I became ill. We will have to worry about so much more it is insane.  The company my husband works for does not have any benefits, and because we ‘own’ our own home (and worked hard to do so) I cannot apply for disability or even a trillium grant for medication - I found this out a few years ago when my Dr. wanted me to try a new, expensive, arthritis medication. We are the average Canadian family. Well.. about the bills anyhow. ;)
I am NOT complaining, merely pointing out facts that many are not aware of. 
I feel BLESSED we've made it this far, especially when sitting at my desk.
 ;-) Like so many others we live week to week... because ‘shit happens’.

I am pretty much botox free. I like feeling my face even the pain sometimes is better than the constant numb feeling, loss of eye control, unable to smile,  drooling, feeling pain elsewhere etc... Did I tell you OHIP will NOT cover my botox injections!? Even thought they are CLEARLY NOT for cosmetic reasons..  - thank you,  Health Canada for making me sicker every day.
 That being said when I have an attack, you see it. 
I am having a hard time with it. 
So are others.  Oh well.

 I have to now worry not only about our son not having his medicine *which he has taken since the age of 14 and has been nothing short of ‘miraculous’ with helping his pain- I have to worry about the one thing that is helping  keep me together. 
The thought of NOT having it and dealing with this had me in tears. 

I am so AFRAID to put any chemicals into my body with what is going on in my brain 
- will I be forced to? If I can’t afford Cannabis? I know a few who said they will have to switch back to OXYKiller  because they can get them so much cheaper for pain. 
BTW MORE people abuse OXY prescriptions than abuse Cannabis. Don't believe me? RESEARCH IT! 

So  yes, I try very hard to stay positive, draw positive and continue to bring awareness but I do get angry and last night all I could think was:

FU*K you Health Canada! You are messing with peoples minds because you did not handle anything correctly from the start and Now you want to PUNISH US ALL??

I am really starting to believe that it was a set up all along, for Steven Harper to now be able to start to fill his private prisons. I think Steven Harper should be charged with war crimes against sick Canadians. 
It is a war. 
A drug war, one that many truly suffering, sick people have been DRAGGED into battle. Literally a fight for their life. 

Health Canada better be ready for the POLITICAL, nightmare of a storm they are bringing upon themselves. I’ve yet to meet anyone who does not fight back when backed into a corner, fighting for what they believe is their life.
Let alone a Human Rights violation.
The rest of the world will look at Harper with disgust 
- like they already seem to do - only now they will see JUST how LOW he can go.  

Why would they want us using Cannabis that we could grow ourselves when they can make a profit and solve the problem of the sick, by forcing us to take pharmaceutical drugs (extermination on a grand scale when you look at the annual death rates from prescribed medications) and putting us in prison. FACT.

To delete or not to delete that is the question... 
Having a limit on Fb has posed a problem, I have people wanting to friend, I check out their page and see we have things in common or  I like the vibe they are putting out,  so I accept. 
Every now and then.. recently, I had someone start to message me. He wanted to argue about God.  Really, nothing more. 
He did not care for my opinion and insisted I should read my bible and I had to be an idiot to think any other way than his..  LOL
He knew nothing about me, had not been to  this website, only passed Judgement on a few quick FB posts.  I found it upsetting. 
Not that fact that he wanted to argue about God- If you know me you know by now - What ever it takes, I don't force anyone to believe in what I do- I know you can not. I do not consider myself a bible thumper - I've read it, I find it,  for lack of a better word interesting & entertaining. I am well aware of the fact it was wrote by mortal men. 
We shall leave it at that.  

If you do not believe in God, well - Oh, well. BUT to try to destroy what someone believes... have YOU NOTHING better to do???   <That is it in a nutshell. 
 - He was 1/2 across the world, when we became FB friends I was thrilled! I love seeing FB photos from other places and better yet, it is a first hand peek into a place I have never been! An opportunity to learn, share and friend.  * Some people have setting so you can NOT see all that is on their page UNTIL you friend them. I've had that rude awakening a few times... I think it's sneaky and a 'turn off' right there. 
Instead it seems all this person wanted to do was set about and destroy what brings others peace.  I had checked out his page and it was full of hatred, not just Anti God, but anti Jew, muslim, christian - you name it we are all stupid.

We watched  the first of these documentaries a few times, I did, it is very educational and the producers story very honest. IMO. BUT  the second documentary shares also the story of Cashy Hyde.  & his beautiful family.

What  Cashy endured...  my one fricken surgery (miniscule in comparison) and I am still reeling ;-(  Cashy died the day after my surgery - I did not find out until a few days later.. maybe even a week I don’t  remember, I just remember no one wanted to tell me. Which I am now thankful for. It was a direct blow to my heart.  How could it not be? It was for MILLIONS.  

Cashy  was a miracle, you have no idea and yes he was here for a reason. We are all blessed because of him. Yes, he was a ‘weed warrior,’ sadly we now have a few.  A few little warriors who are suffering with pain, disease as their parents stand and watch helplessly..  and then to fear for your life because a plant you give your child  and eases their pain is ILLEGAL? Alcohol, pills and tobacco are all easily attainable and all deadly?

Is there any wonder I feel I am going mad? How crazy is all of this?
Innocent children are being punished and made to suffer over $$$

While working on the Cartoon regarding not being able to consumer products, and thinking how insane it was... I was told  I better be careful about selling my Hempy Stalkers out of the country!  REALLY!

I have a couple that did not sell at the EXPO - I had enquires from many people, but several were from the USA and we were concerned about them being Cannabis stalks, as to wether they might get confiscated at the border.  Since home I have had 3 e mail from people that want to purchase a Hempy Stalker - all are from out of the country. 

I have been seriously warned to be careful - me thinking come on .. are you fucking kidding me? My painted sticks? My favorite - and now, I have decided never to part with him (he was for sale at the EXPO - glad he did not go) I call him “Budda” Like Buddha ;)

Every-time I look at him I smile, to the point I swear he has started to talk to me ;) Not all talking is done with words.  I might make him a regular in the strip. I did a bit of research and I am concerned about mailing them across the border. So I guess I won’t be.                           Hempy Stalkers - Only in Canada you say?   Pity...

Too bad it is no joke..
This is not an original idea. 
I was inspired by an image I saw, and of course this is what came to mind.
It is how I feel. 

Apparently people even now, are still getting permission to grow. 
Is Health Canada lining up all it's ducks in a row for when they want to TAKE away licenses?  Are we all just sitting ducks?
How can this still be happening, when they claim the entire reason they will be removing is for criminal activity, yet more permits are issued... I know, I am NOT the only one confused. Health Canada is probably hoping we are all 'dazed and confused'. 
That is not happening. I see less confused and dazed every day, all around.

The only criminal activity I see happening is on the part of Health Canada and the MMAR Program.
 

I was mentioning to a friend recently how glad I am a ‘Head Shop’ for lack of a better word has opened in my town! YIPPIE! It is terrific!  I no longer have to drive to 30 mins or more for supplies - or even further Toronto! The shop is really nice, well stocked and the couple that owns it are equally friendly and always pleasant. It is NOT a XXX, sex shop, they don’t have porn (well there is that glass penis bong). Go check it out you might find it really interesting!

They have water pipes and smoking supplies, hats, incense - stuff - MUCH like a cigar shop in many towns. Only - Cannabis won’t hurt you like a cigar does. 
- Never mind that - hopefully you are AWARE of that fact by now. 

The store is always busy and I believe it is actually bringing business into our town.  It is the nicest store around, nicer than any I have seen in Newmarket. I welcome all new business to town! I have seen a few empty stores and THAT is NOT a good sign in any town.

That conversation started another... I said

Well - that she did not totally agree with... 
 “I’ll HAVE to have the drug talk then, I’ll be forced too...” 

"Excuse me? Your kid is 11! I’d say you better have that drug talk NOW!"
 "AND why, just because of a Cannabis dispensary- OUR medicine? Geeze!!"

I wanted to say - But that clinic for the heroine addicts that you walk past daily - that was not a cause for conversation? 
The fact that kid are more prone to first experience a drug from their own parents medicine/alcohol cabinet - that is no reason to have the DRUG talk?

NO wonder kids have problems! TALK to them. 
EXPLAIN what happens when people abuse Drugs. 
EDUCATE them so they can then make informed educated choices!

When we were little it was easier for parents to keep stuff from up, but with the internet and kids being what they are today - you can not afford to wait! I did remind my friend that now children all over are using Cannabis as a medicine! For cancer, autism, pain and more! Millions of adults all over the world use it recreationally and medicinally. 

Get over it. I was angry- again, someone does not ‘get it’. They won’t until it is their child or themselves.  I took a deep breath, remembered in my heart how grateful I am for Cannabis! This amazing healing plant! 

I moved past it. 
Your ignorance is not my problem. I thought to myself. *When I say ignorant, I do mean lack of education on the topic... nothing more.

AT 11 years old, if you think your kid does not know anything about drugs with all you see on television alone -you are wrong.
If you do not educate them their friends will. Friends that might not be raised, the way you choose to raise your child.

         NOTE: I don’t say LIE to them I say EDUCATE them.

*While discussing this toon, my hubby admitted to me -when he was a kid he sniffed model glue!  Glue! It was the classic - the older boy they hung around told them it was cool and safe. ;-(   Kowabunga!  Good thing it did not damage that smart brain of his.
PLEASE, talk to your children about all drugs. Good and bad and  about drug abuse

I know today's hero personally.  Asked to remain as "D" for fear of backlash from others in the industry. This is a shame, I completely understand it.  I have witnessed it over and over again and it must stop.
