Who remembers Holly Hobbie?
I DO!  I'm pretty sure I had a Holly Hobbie Doll, didn't we all? 

I was reminiscing on PIN, easy to do…  Raggedy Ann, Cabbage patch babies (I still have my original), The Sunshine family- now we can simply see toys of our past- get that ‘warm and fuzzy feeling all over again in a few seconds.

I was looking at of all things, the ‘Doll from Trilogy of Terror, remember him??  Frig that thing terrified me.  lol 
I was thinking of making a clay version for my desk in my office… lol - as long as his necklace does not fall off, Bird should be good. 

Well there she was - Holly Hobbie and BAM it hit me as plain as day.. she needs to become  ‘Holy iHighBe’  hee hee hee. 
It is my tribute art to Holly Hobbie -the Artist - of the same name more so than the doll, her one little image became iconic and loved by many little girls & boys.  She also is famous her her children books.

My little rendition of Holly -  My little Cannabis girl is also loved by millions around the world- the cannabis part anyhow!

She turned out so adorable, I have her framed and in my bedroom.  It makes me smile when I look at her & gives me a flash back of all warm & fuzzy - it’s a win, win.

I have decided to offer her as a print. It will be signed and numbered I’m only making 100.

Meet Faye! 
One of the first dolls to be made and sent on her way! 
OMGosh this is too much fun-  playing with dolls!  & each doll gets a photo shoot with me before she leaves for her new home!  I have even made it so they travel in comfort!  Check out the images below.  Faye is a fan! She purchases my comic books and sends them all over the USA - mostly to politicians.  Ive come to know Faye a bit and think she is a wonderful woman & mom and  has quite a bit to say. I asked Faye if she would not mind sharing  paragraph with you:

Why does it take someone getting sick to become a believer?  
All I did was walk in a Hallmark Store to pick up cards, turned my head to the left to look at a video and my world went dizzy....  I made my way to my car and was able to drive without any problem, but could not walk without dizziness and nausea.  After doctors, specialist and many test, they could only tell me what was not wrong with me and couldn't give me any medication that helped; eventually they decided it was an inner ear virus.  
I started researching the internet on my own and came up with hemp oil; I first tried a bottle and saw a definite plus in my well being, then ordered by the case and have been taking it ever since.  

Due to propaganda and lies, hemp couldn't even be grown in the USA until this year; thank goodness for Canada.  But, it made me keep researching and finding out the benefits of cannabis.  Cannabis or Marijuana, whatever one wants to call it, there are medical benefits and should be a choice treatment for everyone.  Big pharma, the FDA and the government have given natural supplements a bad wrap due to greed and lies.  

Since I knew how hemp had helped me, I wanted to legally be able to try cannabis oil.  
I have always been a human rights advocate, but became an advocate for legalizing cannabis/marijuana.  I have told my doctors and specialist that if they tell me I have cancer that I will go to the nearest state where cannabis/marijuana is legal for my treatment of choice.  I have allergies, take allergy drops every week, would not go the chemo route; I will take my chances with cannabis/marijuana and hope for the best.

It is not that hard to find truth once you start looking, you just can't believe that you had been fooled for so long.  Google, that all one has to do.

So - Faye is a doll is real life too ;)   Speaking out  for many who do not. I am thankful.
The first of the  Girlfriend Doll orders was of course and education...
I kinda thought this might happen... A lesson was learned about girlfriends- I was not charging enough. lol - some might noticed the price jump, after  a well thought out  experience- I realized the time, supplies, packaging & shipping - lol - I was  practically giving them away at $50.  
I also did some research on Etsy- no where can you find an 'original, custom' work of art or anything like this doll  for anywhere near the price.  
Each doll takes me a day at least from start to finish, $80. is still a very good price - if I continue to get busy with the dolls and such, I will probably raise the price again.
It's all about time these days and what I want to be doing most, I will say these girlfriends are more than a fun way for me to spend a day...   If you want your a girlfriend of your own - check the link below and order your today!

Instagram fun.
I am drawing a green sloth for my newest barter agreement.
With a talented young lady in Taiwan.  From what I see she draws mostly on her iPad.
It’s not just the drawing I like - but her creativity!  
I think she would make a good cartoonist as she gets the point across with a single drawing.

I watched for  bit, she follows me - its how we were introduced, I asked her 'what do you want..'  A GREEN SLOTH.   lol  A Sloth it is and I learned some pretty amazing sloth facts!  Great conversation for the diner table. Did you know there use to be Sloths  the size of elephants!  Prehistoric sloths.. and they swim- much faster than they move - who knew. 

As a bonus  - I was having so much fun painting my sloth, I forgot to make him green so, I have two on the go, I will put it on Etsy. You will see the other after it reaches it's final destination! I love this.   I had another Etsy sale the other day ! Thank you!!

Storm commented (when I shared info. about the newest artist I was bartering with) “it’s like your studio all over again mom, you see a kid with talent and you go that extra bit to encourage them…”  I thought: It IS!!  I can!!  
How wonderful! No cricket club but it will have to do!  I am THRILLED.

My only concern is to make sure the parent are o.k. with me sending them ‘snail mail’. 
Hee hee, I like to add a couple of little things. ‘Canadian’ , I found these BIG chocolate Toonies and I tape a real one to the back. I think it’s interesting, I giggle as I sit here- I’m sure some reading are rolling their eyes.. I care not. I always include some form of maple syrup - mmmmmmm. If I havnt eaten it all.

I make sure the person - wants to exchange. I never know age - I don't really care..  Someone is trying to draw and express themselves and  shares it with all of us. ;)  
This is a reason I also think it's an interesting way to meet others.  I would also be using if I was single to meet others with the same interests. Who cares if they live far away- it shouldn't stop us from forming friendships. 
Another talented young man puts ‘Dogs heads on humans’, such a distinct look already!
 I had to tell him.  If you ever have the opportunity to ‘really encourage' someone younger - in your profession for example,  please take it. 

I feel special as well, my friend Hunter in the USA , who I bartered with shared his ‘picking a prom jacket photo’ with me  ;) 

Well its’ time to get back to the Sloth.

Brrrrrrrrrrr!  It's been a week of cold mornings to say the least!
So cold all I could think up one morning was a snowman wanting in my coffee! lol
& Poppy - lokin gout the window but ask her - want to go out - NOPE - Unless she sees me going out the front door- she has no desires to go out. Good. ;) Me too, Poppy!

What a week.. Jamie, I sent a 'DM' to his mom (private message -  I had to ask this friend on IG what that meant)  and told her I was avoiding her, to be honest.  I can't speak to her on the phone yet.  I DIVE into work I noticed lately when I am really upset - good, then I think of art and not heart.  I went nuts with watercolor and trying to learn some new things I see - then - Kitty in the grass. BUT, talk about 'work' setting it all up - lol
ANYHOW, it's done. I am sending out 3 kitties TODAY to celebrate! 

I'm also celebrating my 2nd Etsy sale! Woot Woot! Thank you.
Storm suggested I post my 'morel valentine' and 5 minutes later it was sold! I only have 2 more mushroom ones on it - I don't think I'll be loading more - I actually have a couple of people interested in Possibly making prints! Either way - I have a good friend who provided me with a few fun ideas to draw so you will be seeing more MUSHROOMS!
They can change the world!

- I hope those who have asked and I've refused don't get upset- but - lol, someone sent me a DM (private message) on IG (Instagram) and asked would I ?  I said 'no, but tell me more' - simply because I loved her posts- such a cute little funny cousin to Poppy!  Sure enough, she told me more and  the idea dancing in my head - what fun - I said 'yes.
Payment received - The little sketch yesterday had me smiling already! 

Whew - it's family day today - My son getting ready for a winter camping trip  in BEAR country (I'm trying NOT to think about it), Norm just got a call and might have to go to work... after he make dinner I say! lol    Norm has really been helping more with meals. 
I just can't do it, seeing as he is become a good cook. It was time!  I am  - painting nd taking photos of the kitties - whew! Then I'm caught up and can star to mail them out and just keep track-  just! BTW - I don't know IF I can commit to posting daily - just the thought - I will do what I can.. but the Kitty in the Grass is here.. lot's of them!
