Having a limit on Fb has posed a problem, I have people wanting to friend, I check out their page and see we have things in common or  I like the vibe they are putting out,  so I accept. 
Every now and then.. recently, I had someone start to message me. He wanted to argue about God.  Really, nothing more. 
He did not care for my opinion and insisted I should read my bible and I had to be an idiot to think any other way than his..  LOL
He knew nothing about me, had not been to  this website, only passed Judgement on a few quick FB posts.  I found it upsetting. 
Not that fact that he wanted to argue about God- If you know me you know by now - What ever it takes, I don't force anyone to believe in what I do- I know you can not. I do not consider myself a bible thumper - I've read it, I find it,  for lack of a better word interesting & entertaining. I am well aware of the fact it was wrote by mortal men. 
We shall leave it at that.  

If you do not believe in God, well - Oh, well. BUT to try to destroy what someone believes... have YOU NOTHING better to do???   <That is it in a nutshell. 
 - He was 1/2 across the world, when we became FB friends I was thrilled! I love seeing FB photos from other places and better yet, it is a first hand peek into a place I have never been! An opportunity to learn, share and friend.  * Some people have setting so you can NOT see all that is on their page UNTIL you friend them. I've had that rude awakening a few times... I think it's sneaky and a 'turn off' right there. 
Instead it seems all this person wanted to do was set about and destroy what brings others peace.  I had checked out his page and it was full of hatred, not just Anti God, but anti Jew, muslim, christian - you name it we are all stupid.  
UN Friend. SIMPLE. Done.

Why? Should I not try to  accept him and understand?  FORGET it. 
WHY the heck would anyone want to surround themselves with such negativity? It for me had nothing to do with God - Other that I have noticed it is the ' Atheists' On FB that remind me the most of God with all their posts -LOL Irony. 
The Lord works in mysterious ways.    

We have an opportunity to educate, explore, help, encourage, support and Make new FRIENDS all around the world! Send a positive message! 
FRIENDS... Are not someone that want to crush what you believe in because they don't,
and have nothing better to do that to fight with you about it.
If you're a nasty, name calling person - I would not hang out with you in real life so I'm not about to do it on FB.  
Life is nasty enough on it's own some days.
BTW, I also un-friend sometimes because IMO, I see people I CARE about posting things and I have a hard time not commenting, thinking - WTF are you thinking?  Others that pretend to be friends only to hear otherwise, I've no time for bullshit or games.  ;)
A few times, I need a space quick! So, I un friend a friend! A real friend. 
They can see my stuff anyhow and  they are true friends and know they an e mail me.  

You know .. It's nothing personal.

I'm painting! It's been a few months, I can't help it, in the winter I can sit at my drawing desk for hours on end! In the summer - forget it, I need to be outside. Luckily, I have a covered porch where I can set up my easel, paint and watch the dogs play.  I started the painting 'Peace', 2 years ago but for what ever 
reason, I only just decided it was time to paint it.
Painting for me is pure meditation, often someone will yell or sigh "come eat" "put your brush down for a minute" lol - hard to do when painting brings me such peace. Just painting the Trichomes took me about 2 hours, I had so much fun .. many hidden symbols. 

I am surrounded my my pets as you can see and there is no place I'd rather be. 

I found painting this so relaxing I have started 2 more. Do what you love.

We watched  the first of these documentaries a few times, I did, it is very educational and the producers story very honest. IMO. BUT  the second documentary shares also the story of Cashy Hyde.  & his beautiful family.

The bullshit that family had to endure on top of everything else. From medicine to police abuse. That is exactly what it was . OVER A FUCKING PLANT.

Does anyone deserve this over a plant that has never been responsible for a death? Parents who only want to do everything they possibly can to help their child?

I really do think when they said for Storm no treatment, no cure was a blessing in disguise some days. Well, I might think that now, I did NOT then.

What  Cashy endured...  my one fricken surgery (miniscule in comparison) and I am still reeling ;-(  Cashy died the day after my surgery - I did not find out until a few days later.. maybe even a week I don’t  remember, I just remember no one wanted to tell me. Which I am now thankful for. It was a direct blow to my heart.  How could it not be? It was for MILLIONS.  

Cashy  was a miracle, you have no idea and yes he was here for a reason. We are all blessed because of him. Yes, he was a ‘weed warrior,’ sadly we now have a few.  A few little warriors who are suffering with pain, disease as their parents stand and watch helplessly..  and then to fear for your life because a plant you give your child  and eases their pain is ILLEGAL? Alcohol, pills and tobacco are all easily attainable and all deadly?

Is there any wonder I feel I am going mad? How crazy is all of this?
Innocent children are being punished and made to suffer over $$$
We all are. OVER the next big money maker!  Imagine if it was YOUR child.

I KNOW. I have living proof and I love him very much.  I am doing this for more than my own son. 

Imagine if it were your child and you knew you could not get him enough medicine, MEDICINE that you KNOW has helped him, eased his pain and could possibly be what is saving his life and  although it is something you should  be able to GROW in your back yard.  THEY COULD NOT.

IT needs to be acknowledged for what it is A VEGETABLE. 
A MIRACLE plant!  Prohibition is not the problem any longer, it is lack of education.
Once more people become educated on the subject, and get away from reefer madness it will only be a matter of time.

I was hanging laundry this morning thinking - this is AWESOME!! LOL - Hanging laundry. Last year I was so sick and so bad with balance I could not hang laundry (kinda tricky as it is at the top of my deck stairs) without fear of falling. Today I am HAPPY to be hanging laundry! Who knew! ha ha ha

Everyday I feel a bit better! The only medication I take is Cannabis. It does not stop what is happening IT makes it LIVABLE - yep, and thank God for THC  - even laughable at times! 

I will tell you what else recently has been helping me.. my Da Vinci  Vaporizer!  I love it.  
We have a volcano- which Storm uses every day while at home, I prefer a bong for quick results and to try to calm the twitch when at full power.. BUT when I am out and about,  NOT a joint smoker... I have never smoked cigarettes and  honestly I don’t even like to see someone with a cigarette in their mouth, especially beautiful young ladies,  so I use my one hit dug out and quickly put it away - the smoking apparatus looks like a cigarette - the last thing I want to do is set an example that smoking cigarettes is o.k. - lol even thought I am not.

I have wanted a vaporizer for years! A portable one. I have a Plenty (also like) but the cord  - well not so portable.  The best place to get anything - IMO is at the EXPO,  show prices and such a variety - wow..  that being said  over the years I ALMOST bought a few, I say almost as they are not cheap - $100 and up - but  over the years I have seen and heard many people say things like - “I bought that and it lasted a few weeks” or “it broke, it does not work properly, it’s too hard to clean..”  blah blah blah

Storm bought one last year and it lasted 2 weeks - $150 up in smoke ;) it was some pen thing.  So I was cautious. This EXPO I got smart! LOL - I asked everyone:

I've been a little 'quiet'.  Not from lack of anything to say - LOL
I am learning how to live a new life... accepting that this is how it is and what am I going to do about it. 
I had a visit with a Dr. and he said you must feel like the medical profession has let Storm and you down...  

Storm was diagnosed:  Progressiove to terminal with no treatment or cure.  Thank God for his cannabis which keeps him active, functioning and enjoying life to the fullest while living with chronic pain. 
Now, the only suggestion I get is for medications. Which I am not o.k. with.  Particularly seizure medication.  Have you read the side effects? They are not confirming it IS seizures - so NO.  That being said, Botox is worn off I believe and I am living a different life.
One that I don't have so much control over. Somedays I am up at 4,  waken up by my twitch so powerful I swear I feel my head rocking on the pillow - those days I pretty much write off. I do what ever I can when I can.  
I am THRILLED and thank God and the surgeon every day - I don't seem to be having the doozies - well a couple, BUT not nearly as often or as powerful. The problem is the twitch (which again  has been explained it is not a twitch pulling, but electrical impulses going off)  it pretty much  NON stop all day all the time with breaks in between of only minutes. It is exhausting. By 5 p.m. I hardly want to do anything.  My head pounding from constant movement as the night wears on I look forward to going to bed. Daily naps at about 2 are also NEEDED - I'm not fond of napping. I am looking forward to the puppy! It plays for about 20 mins. and then needs to sleep.  I have the dogs trained when I nap - so do they. 
Or else I'd get no rest. I think they look forward to it now as much as I do. LOL 

He (dr.) also  asked are you depressed? 
I thought about it for a second  (I have been depressed before) and replied 
"no, not depressed... completely fucking overwhelmed at times, yes."
He understood that. 

So with deciding no surgery- no medicine they don't really know what else to do. 
I'm o.k. with that. I need a break from all of it.  That being said I never really do get a break. I am constantly reminded with each interruption, some painful and always annoying, that  this is how it is. Like it or not. 
The twitch triggered by talking.  I swear on a bad day it is triggered by breathing. 
So I noticed as have my family I am getting quiet.  I find it ironic that my phone has not been working and decided not to care too much. Less triggers.   If anyone  really wants to get a hold of me they know to e mail. I am doing much thinking, of course, especially with the approaching changes  and much drawing but I am TAKING it easy.

CHILDREN & MEDICINAL CANNABIS 
There are certain rights and privileges given to us by the universe that human lawmakers have deemed illegal. Being deemed illegal by human laws does not negate the rights and privileges given to us by the universe. Deeming something legal or illegal does not make it moral or immoral. The legality of something is not a true test of right or wrong. Right and wrong are issues that are better addressed by an inquiry into whether or not the illegal act does any actual harm to anyone. Does breaking a particular law harm either the individual or society as a whole? The list of such laws is countless, but here I am referring to the use of marijuana. 

Anti marijuana laws are based solely on unscientific and untrue propaganda stemming from the 1930's. The purpose of the anti marijuana laws was to diminish the competition with leading corporations at the time that produced inferior products ranging from pharmaceuticals to textiles and fuel. Despite the fact that all of the propaganda was false, the anti marijuana stereotypes  still persist today. These anti marijuana laws have the effect of making otherwise law abiding citizens hailed as criminals. This is especially true of parents who choose to utilize medicinal marijuana to treat their child's illness. Rather, parents are expected, even pressured by doctors, to utilize the more "traditional" (using the term loosely) methods of medical treatment. 

Traditional methods include, but are not limited to, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, bone marrow transplants, prescription pills, experimental drugs and of course, general anesthesia to undergo some of these treatments. Since traditions are passed down over time, it is actually more sensible to consider medicinal marijuana the traditional treatment and to consider these newer and deadly treatments and their life draining side effects more experimental in nature. If nothing else, these newer methods are extremely profitable to the healthcare industry in ways that medicinal marijuana could not be. The healthcare industry is a 2.6 trillion dollar a year industry. That allows for more than enough lobbyists and politicians to benefit from anti marijuana laws than is possible with marijuana legalization. 

In spite of this obvious motivation of financial gain that keeps anti marijuana laws on the books, lawmakers continue to insist that the only real motivation for anti marijuana legislation is to protect the public from the supposed harms of marijuana use. But those alleged harms from marijuana use are unfounded and untrue. Anti marijuana laws are what is harmful to individuals and society. Medicinal marijuana is harmful to no one, not even children. Parents facing such a decision have to sum up massive amounts of courage in the face of being arrested, charged, jailed and worst of all, the possibility of having their child taken away from them based on alleged child endangerment.

Medicine is supposed to be based on facts, test trials and their outcomes. Propaganda and lies are neither medicine nor fact. The medical facts about medicinal marijuana and children have proven that marijuana is safe for use with children and that there are no long term side effects. The only side effects noted were dizziness and disorientation that lasted only a few hours. Such side effects are nominal at most and allow parents to give their child the best possible medicinal option without the life draining side effects of the more profitable options available through the more common and dangerous medical treatments listed above.

There are countless anecdotal stories of children being treated with medicinal marijuana. Most had already gone through the current medical treatments and the agony and side effects of those treatments prior to turning to medicinal marijuana. Story after story recounts the tragedies of current methods and the life saving effects they finally obtained with marijuana use. Children as young as 8 months old have been successfully treated with medicinal marijuana where all current treatments had failed. I could recite them all, but instead I refer the reader to articles such as US NEWS AND WORLD REPORTS article entitled "Medical Marijuana is Safe for Children" and GROWING MEDICAL's article entitled "Studies Show Benefit of Medical Marijuana for Children" as well as ABC NEW's article entitled "Marijuana as Alternative Treatment with OCD and Autism" just to name a few.

The medical facts about medicinal marijuana are that, "The cannabinoid acids in cannabis have been found to have anti-proliferative, anti-neoplastic, anti-inflammatory, anti-epileptic, anti- ischemic, anti-diabetic, anti-psychotic, anti-nausea, anti-spasmodic, antibiotic, anti-anxiety and anti-depressant functions. The anti-neoplastic action of cannabis (inhibiting development of malignant cells) was recognized in the 1970's and patented by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services  in 2003". (cited from William Courtney M.D.)

The gist of the various articles is that medical peer reviews that reject medical marijuana are profiting from the current 2.6 trillion dollar healthcare industry. Parents who chose cannabinoid concentrates or other medicinal marijuana options for their child were able to spare their child the horrifying experience of currently accepted treatments. The healthcare industry lost out on a million dollar sale each time a parent chose medicinal marijuana over the million dollar treatment options. The outcome in each testimonial was the same. Medicinal marijuana is safe for use with children. Tumors shrunk, epilepsy became manageable, cancer and scar tissue disappears, OCD evaporates, and the list goes on. 

People once believed that the earth was flat. Time and experience have proven that theory to be wrong. Slavery was once legal and helping a slave run away for freedom was illegal. Today we know that breaking such a law was the right thing to do despite it's illegality. The anti marijuana propaganda that supports anti marijuana laws was once commonly accepted as true. People believed marijuana was dangerous to both body and mind. Today we know that propaganda is untrue and unacceptable. 

It is not enough to rely on propaganda and lies in order to secure monetary profits. It is not enough to say it is wrong because it is illegal and therefore inappropriate for medical use. It is not enough to say that the doctor said it was dangerous or wrong. What is enough is to educate one's self on the real medical benefits of medicinal marijuana and if it is right for your child, to choose that option over all others. No one will protect your child more ferociously and more lovingly than you will. If medicinal marijuana is right for your child, use it. It could be the one thing that will change their life for the better and could even save their life.

It's back to nature. For us anyhow. More fresh veges, reading labels and focusing on what goes in  before it comes out, in one way or another. If it can be stored in a box for 6 months we don't want it.  Originally, I saw a post with a photo of a horse, it instantly made me smile. this is my version. 

Is there anyone who claims not to know the benefits of choosing a salad over a cheese burger? Choice. What we put into out bodies. Food and medicine.

It's Canada Day! July 1st, Its a beautiful day - a little on the chilly side but BEAUTIFUL!  I LOVE Canada (Harper & Leaona aside).. it is an awesome country. Beautiful and Free.  Compared to many, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather live.  When Storm was little we went to events and fireworks, it's kinda nice doing nothing.

We did do something we went to see Poppy! When Julie brought her out she let out these little yelps! OH MY GOODNESS, Poppy has great vocal cords!  hee hee hee
It is so wonderful going to see her grow.  Eyes open now and little noises, wee paws reaching - still no clue on how to walk.  Normally we get our pups after 8 or more weeks  so to see this little baby is an honor. ;-) 5 weeks I have to wait!  We w2ill go back next week for another visit, Norm and I enjoyed that too. How busy we are, that we look forward to some time in the car for a visit.  Poppy photos below :-) xox <><
