It's Christmas Day - clearly, I was naughty all year as I did not get what I wanted.
Oh well...  I'm not changing anytime soon Santa, so I guess I won't see you for a while.
I love who I am right now. 

Frankly, I'll be glad when today is over.  
I love Jesus. I give thanks everyday and I ask for forgiveness, every day.. lol 
I celebrate him daily.  

I did get one gift, from Storm and it  made me cry. 
I Thank God for Storm. He said he does not need any gifts:  “I need what’s sitting in that chair breathing” he  remarked to me while I was at my desk drawing last night.  

I do hope  people enjoy a good Christmas..  for those that get right into it (and can afford it) I hope your day is perfect!!  
I hope one day to feel the “christmas Spirit” again,  I certainly do not feel ‘it’ this year. 
I also realize how many people feel the same as I do & do not have anyone in their life to even spend today with- that is who my Christmas Wishes go out to today. 
Feel loved. Love yourself.  Jesus loves you, no gifts required. No attending mass required.  
If you do not believe, that’s fine- enjoy this day of PEACE. 
Instead - 2017.. I’ll focus on that today. 
It’s going to be different.  Big change. 

On a positive Note -I have a bulletin board in my office - I put postcards on it *I love snail mail! As you might be aware. lol  
I put all that people send me during the year- and it becomes full as the year goes on! Postcards Cards from around the world, drawings, stickers, letters people write to thank me. It blows my mind & warms my heart.  lol 
For what? For expressing my love? Trying to help bring an awareness to a injustice - isn’t that why we are here? I wonder sometimes if I make a difference. .. then I glance up- right above my desk and I see your wishes, cards and LOVE.   Thank you.  
I had one letter, putting it all away that brought me to tears, Patrick from Conspiracy Culture wrote me a letter after Jamie died.  That gave me the 'Feeling of Christmas' of love.

I cleared it of 2016 - all goes into an envelope marked 2016’ & now it is ready to welcome 2017! The first thing on it my gift from my son, a drawing of cannabis from Todd I received this week and a reminder to myself : You did not wake up to be mediocre today.

Yesterday was officialy winter in Canada!   
It's cold, grey & wet with snow.  I can't complain.. this winter has not been too bad at all, so far.  The only quirk I  have issues with is the cold and wind, Poppy - any snow over 3 inches is too much for her little tummy/titties, she's out,  in & under a blanket.  lol 
Poppy wants to be a 'snowbird' when she grows up. 

It's December 22, Christmas is here, I guess.
Not going to the stores/mall, no cable, no decoratons - I would not even know except for the calendar... and Christmas cards - thank you...  so far so good.  lol
We will have a relaxing 'holiday', good meals - give thanks -many will not even experience that much.  No gifts other than the gift of no added debt.  What a gift it is. 
Ready to move on with my painting.. no 'Santa bud', this year.. a Jesus bud perhaps ;)
I'm workng today on some 'love' for the universe - and myself.  
Excited for my plans for 2017..  Making it happen.
Educating with love one bud at a time.

Every Christmas I give away a framed original.
This year is no exception- except  -lol- instead of having a draw I decided to give it to someone in particular, to express my gratitude & appreciation.   Someone who really has made my/our life better, to whom I truly am grateful and wish to show my thanks & love with my heart & art.

I also thought of a funny, 'private card' -only in the sence that I don't need to share it with all of you, my 'Hallmarks' are truly originals- with only one being sent & only few viewing. They are often thought of with very secific people in mind, they are personal and intimate,  funny,  sexual & even sad.  I share them with those I trust most.  I will say this one made me blush slightly and giggle most of the time I was painting it, my admiration of this man and his looks too - are no secret- althougth he is not 'my type',  my age & taste matured, I like 'salt & pepper' - or white hair- which I'm sure he will have soon enough, no doubts!!! 

A framed original - also of my choosing- cannabis related of course, 3 comics (signed), magazines & a copy of  Hempathy by Ivan Art to educate the children!! & the hand painted card...  ​

Now that Canada is talking legalization- many are in anxious anticipation to get a Cannabis friendly business up and running - including of course The 'Prince of Pot' Mark Emery - he was arrested on Friday for opening several new dipensaries in Montreal, he would be out in a matter of days & he is. Mark knew it would get media attention, I get it - we need to stop making arrests for cannabis & Mark is a business man- who also wants to  get a jump start on the industry becoming legal, many do.

This is the porblem... that I also 'get', if mark emery is permitted to open a 'pot shop', everyone is going to try to do it and it will come with problems.  Many will not be monitored and not much better imo than a street dealer simply 'opening a shop' somewhere.  What about the edibles? There needs to be some sort of quality control, not only for cannabis  but for food safety- I've had food poisioning, it's not fun.  There should be rules.
To say  Justin "is a disgrace...",   forgive the Prime Minsiter for focusing on many issues including most important  lives - missing Abrogianl Canadian Women.  Even I realize it takes time, reading when Justin was elected they said it would probably 'realistically' happen in 2017. Patience as with everything.  Mark & Jodie would have 'decent shops- I'd think, they should - they have been around a while now, but why should Mark Emery be permitted to do what others can not?  Simple  &  honestly, Mark can afford to fight it in court where as many could'nt.  Let him, it will bring attention to cannabis for all, by the time it goes to court- Cannabis will probably be legalized, it might just be thrown out, I HIGHLY doubt Mark will do any jail time this time around. ;)

Why still, are we focusing on Cannabis with dealths such as Fentanyl becoming an epidemic?  Could we not better use our resourses twoards this growig DEADLY problem?  159 dead in Vancouver alone.   Cannabis is clearly not a problem.   Money twoards education instead of  "pot shop busts' .  *Pot - ever notice how the media is reprecesnted as educational & intelligent - but can;'t seem to call this plant what it is?
Intentional  Ignorance dislayed at it's finest.  Pay attention. 

Parents if you care about your kids - Quit being distracted by bulshit. 

Trump - I don't know.  

Christmas is a week away, the only decorations are on the front lawn and the few lovely Christmas cards that are now trickling in.  No tree, no sparkly balls, no wrapped gifts... Christmas will come and go without any notice. I celebrate Jesus every day, he is my homeboy' so we're good.  lol - what do I say? It's just become a day for shopping and giving and debt consuming.  Perhaps next year I'll be in more of a decorating mood.  Why 'do it' - for the sake of appearances?  I did make a delicious 'Yule Log'- Buche De Noel complete with marzipan mushrooms, it turned out terrific. I'd make it again! 

On the positive side - Let's start a new Christmas tradition this year!
Toss that mistletoe  for some new greenery & in a few days- your bud will also be dry enough to smoke! Two joys in one! A kiss for someone special* & dry bud that's been blessed by love & kisses! Cured by Kisses!!  hee hee hee  Thats the best kind of bud, no?
I'm going to cut out  this 'budtoe' & hang it above my office door and use it when ever I see fit  ALL YEAR long- because that is how Christmas should be felt - with love and giving - all year long.

Christmas is as good a time as any to educate on Cannabis, young & old.
Firstly,  IF you still believe Cannabis hurts children, please educate yourself on the facts about Christmas trees, more children have died during the holidays due to Christmas tree fires than I ever wanted to know.  Entire famalies perish because of a holiday tradition. Leave the tree outside, alive.  I share with you now, only as a reminder !IF you have a real tree please take all precautions. Children who have died from cannabis = 0
Secondly, for all those that celebrate the birth of Jesus! Amen..   canabis is said to be an ingredient in the holy anointing oil used by Christ. Research it! You will become enlightened.  
Most important, again for all those who claim to belive in Jesus but not cannabis..
Ask yourself one thing:    W.W.J.D.?  
What would Jesus Do?  
Would he jail his brothers and sisters over a plant???
Never.

Set minds & each other free. this holiday!
Isn't that what the holiday is about  -  Celebration & LOVE?
Tell that to those in jail over a plant.. and their famalies this holiday.
PLEASE take time to remember those in jail this holiday season, extra cards and letters.

My friend Jerry Kelly shared he had to have some dental work done - ouch.. Jerry made my Laughing Buddha in glass and I could not resist drawing this one with only 'three teeth' just to tease! lol   I bet Jerry used Cannabis to help with his pain - now that he can, legally!
Woo woo USA.  The more that I think of it,  anything you hear 'negative' in the USA regarding cannabis will be fearmongering! There is no way Cannabis is turning back now.  Thankfully.  No more people in prison over a plant. 
More and more educated on the healing powers of this plant!
Let's not forget, reactional (are you attending the next Cannabis cup? I was thinking about it  I'm curious how it differs from Canadian attitudes at the moment)  use will increase & hopefully, the more deadly opiate/alcohol consuption will decrease.  Give thanks!

Mostly good.. Some  crazy ideas about cannabis and alcohol
- that should never happen. 

Tis the season to be joyful!  I hope more people choose to smoke this season rather than drink alcohol! That being said - if cannabis impaires your ability to drive then refrain, especially if you are NOT use to it.  Alcohol is damaging on several levels & with the season comes 'have another!'   Please do not drink & drive with Alcohol in your sytem.

I've spent  the day designing a new logo!  How exciting!
I presented it to the client, his comment   "I thought it would be more cartoony"  
I replied:  "No, I do know how to get a little serious now & then." ...lol      
He "Loved it".                 I knew he would. 
He offerd a couple of 'changes' and I offered my opinion on why I thought otherwise, he agreed.  I do have a bit of artistic experience ;) It's nice to be  appreciated.  Althought, I won't deny - he came to me with the idea & thought it was terrific, so my creating was quite simple.

A couple days past Christmas and it appears we are getting our first snowfall of the season! It was certainly cold enough today, the last day of Christmas holidays 2015. legally you also have to give 'Boxing day' off in Canada so some companies - like Norms - gave today as the holiday. He returns now- Friday is a holiday! New years Day!
2016. Wow. Where did this year go... I know. 

Our Christmas meal was wonderful! I was telling the guys 'it FLEW!'  We had dinner at my aunts ,15 in total, the meal was a constant chatter of cutlery, laughing, talk and compliments, cracker joke reading - the cracker you pull- hee hee hee.  
My aunt outdid herself with the cooking, my mom and Elly helped- I was to bring a trifle - but forgot! There was more than enough so - all was good.
Just an hour before Norm made Storms UGLY Chrismas Sweater- Elly pulled a fast one! lol She told everyone 'I said' it as ugly sweater Christmas!  hee hee and then got me too - so it was fun!  Just seeing my uncle Jess in his Festive Fleece Navidad cardigan, made me smile! Even the dogs and Princess Poppy - had on a new red sequine dress from her grandma. - it was certainly a colourful Christmas!

I made ornaments- guess when- at 5:00a.m. Christmas morning lol - talk about cutting it close. The tree slices from my friends property up north - wait until you see how many times you can put a dead tree to good use.  I woke up made my coffee and thought about others, mainly Jim. He is not with us, a first Christmas in a long time... I miss hearing from him.  Elly had moments when she teared but she is quick to catch herself.  It's a big day for everyone.  Jim parents also joined us,  I had the honour of sitting beside 'Grampy' and he made me smile several times throughout the meal. It was a pleasure.  Elly on my other side the meal was so delicious I don't remember much else - the talking would come later.

I love Elly, she made me laugh, smile, feel loved (as usual), what a year she has had - she recently had her roof replaced by a terrible roofing company in Toronto, they did a crappy job, exposed nails everywhere, mess left in the gutters & else where,  a foot was put through the roof - into her ceiling of her living room -  shingles covered where a vent should go  & MORE.  NO company names on the vehicles. Let that be a clue.  I think had she not been still so devastated by Jims death (doing this now on her own - ladies .. would you know what to do?  Not me) she might have realized earlier what a  terrible person she was dealing with.  One who tried to take advantage it appears.
Of course they are taking her to court - because she did not want to pay him for terrible job, Elly said fine.  Good.
Any of my close friends give me a call I will share with you 'who the company' IS - I don't want anyone else in Toronto  dealing with the same misfortune.

Bah Humbug Canada post! I ordered ONE gift for Storm - lol - I bought ONE gift for Storm, it did not come on time and I was like 'Little Cindy Lou Who' until the very last hour!  ;( Then I was bummed.  My fault, I was told it would have been replaced weeks ago (and is being replaced) had only I let him know sooner. Here I am again. Something gone missing who to 'blame' I have no clue. It makes me want to stop using Canada Post all together - no wonder they claim to be struggling. I can't be the only one, and not this frequent.
I have something in the process, a few friends have made wonderful suggestions. 
 
I did get 4 books - all gifts - Each from a different person. Each so different - It had me thinking... who does that say more about ? Me or them.  

Other things that made me laugh- my son in Grinch P.J.s!  Still giggle overtime it comes to mind. Daisy ripping through her gift!  The Elf... not on the shelf.  Sweet Georgia Browns strategically  placed. Elly driving up to see me. 

Christmas day was still one of the best days I have had in a while. ;) 
I was surrounded by love - in UGLY sweaters! 
Who could want anything more?  Not me. 

​Tomorrow I plan on spending in my P.J.'s! looking at the snow and painting!

Tis the season! & I don't buy gifts. I refuse to go to the mall.
I paint or craft, of course I've left it late so only a couple will be getting a 'real painted' gift.
* I also purchase from other artists and crafters. No 'big store' stuff.  I can, so I do.
I actually have a great idea for another gift - I won't make it for Christmas - I'll make it and gift it during the year - Just because I love the person I am thinking of.  She will love it too.
Oh My Gosh! Did I have fun with Saw 12!
My moms boyfriend Hugh gave me 'two saws' at thanksgiving, the hand saw kind!
What fun! He said - "maybe I'll get one back" with a big grin. I like Hugh!
He is interesting, every now and then he or I mention stuff that - no one else ever seems to know...  lol Like Oblio and Arrow. Hugh knew. 
He bought me great books last christmas - one about the gentleman responsible for the dictionary.. should technically, be called the Dicktionary.. hee hee hee.
Anyhow,  he loves elephants and I NEEDED to paint so  I did. Talk about meditation.
I started at 6 and finished at 8 with a few breaks here and there.
I looked at elephants on the computer - but  I didn't have anything in front of me when I painted,  (no ink) this elephant is mostly imagination. I thought of elephants as I painted.
Today, I'm inspired to do a drawing- probably won't get it done until after the holidays about another elephant " I am not a body, I am free! I am as God created me!" is the title.

The easiest thing to do is get caught up in Christmas & Not the Christmas, the day was invented & celebrated for. Certainly not to the degree of commercialism it has become. Another chance to go further in debt. I get it.  I've been there. 
We want to give!  Only, we have been led to believe that giving only counts 'IF' it has been bought in a big department store. 
Now, I find I am attracted to custom made gifts on Etsy or around stores locally, artists or making  ;) my own gifts of course. As with anything I never, know what to give or even draw for many. Others- I can hardly stop drawing with them in mind.  What a pleasure.

The drawing on my desk now, it won't be published for  a few days...  
I was not in a good place - I went into my office - sat at my desk and 'Forced thought',
if you could go and do anything,  with who and what would you do?'  
The image popped into my head. lol!  I've been researching what to draw...
A smile creeps across my face, suddenly words are forgiven, not forgotten.
It does not matter, because I am NOW doing what I love. 
Draw it. Be it. 
Have some fun. 
Put some love into what ever you do and it will show.
It will make someone smile.
That is a powerful gift you can give.

It's Christmas Time, as you  might be aware a couple of years ago I asked for help and got it.
It is a nice change & challenge to draw what someone else has wrote. In this case what fun! BTW - I LOVE Gumby, lol - this was like drawing 7 Gumbys for me. I also really enjoy GINGER bread! Norm makes it for me all the time. This weekend! I get to decorate ;)

A Christmas cartoon Collaboration! Inspired by my glass guys - and the collaborations I see they come up with - WOW! Hee hee I started asking is anyone wanted to collaborate with me. The response has been awesome. 
While checking out FB, I came across Kevins page, because he commented - it allows me to be able to go 'see' people page.  Then I have to use my alias - because my 'GeorgiaToons'  account does not let me interact with people UNLESS they message me first. I saw he posted some 'poems' - I liked them. Simple. So I asked.
He was thrilled! ;) me too! lol - and he came up with these in a heart beat! - I look forward to working with Kevin a bit more this year, Ive asked him to  think about addressing other topics with me.
Later... when I actually had more time, I checked out his page to learn he is a stay at home father of two boys!  Wonderful! *If I had to do it all over - & with what is available on the internet- I would have gone this route with Storm.

The second cartoon is just as cute in my opinion, but takes place with elves in the Workshop!  WI can't wait to start to draw! A few other cartoons on my desk at the moment

I don't gift wrap.. well sometimes and only with paper that I have had in my craft room for a decade. I don't buy it anymore. I feel it is like gambling; may as well take that money and burn it - along with the ink, chemicals and trees. 'Reality Elf 'remember.
BUT! If you think I don't like gift wrapped gifts you would be mistaken.

I do like the VISUAL "presentation' wrapping and some people are very creative, I have this friend who's  wrapping would put Santa to shame - her  gifts so visually beautiful, each wrapping was a gift in itself!  I must admit, Norm too has a knack and he loves to wrap.
The majority of us  don't do a great job, or even enjoy the task that much - so:
         Let it Go!!  Tis the Season to Be Jolly! Start a new Holiday tradition!  
Get creative! Tie it in a pillowcase! A Reusable gift bag - I already received (TY Mona! xox) a very cute chihuahua "new library bag", a old drawing! An old cherished T! 
ESPECIALLY for kids who  TEAR it to shreds- Who could care less about  the appearance or thought and only want the gift (we've all been there) - can't we teach them  that until they grasp the concept of environment - we should let them have the choice wrapped or reused.

Never all mind all of that because - the only thing that DOES matter - Is your love, patience and attention during the holiday season and every day of the year.
It's just stuff and it's just stuffed wrapped around the stuff.

Love is all you need, fa la la la la  laaaaalaaaalaaalaa.
Paper or not - I still peek.  TY Mona!

During my researching about Cannabis you often read about other related topics. Mushrooms are another. Another natural substance that has been  forbidden.  Made illegal.
I do not know enough but what I have read - leads one to the same conclusion -  Mushrooms are in fact medicine.  Food Of the Gods,  natural plants that help heal our minds & therefore body... 
As soon as Storm was old enough to ask questions we told him the truth. 
Here is a perfect opportunity to do that, have some fun - educate on mushrooms- how to never eat any that they might find in the wild! Unless educated of course. ;) 
Teach about food and medicine!  Natural medicines can be talked about - like Cannabis! Ayahuasca and even Aloe!  The more your children know, they better prepared as young adults.  Educate - not lie. 
If they are aware enough to seriously question  Santa- Reindeer? 
Then they are aware enough to question much more.

Give the gift of knowledge this Christmas. 
Start a new Christmas tradition! 
Teach them about natural plants and medicine. Let food be thy medicine.
You might possibly save your own child from years of misery later in life.

Merry & Medicated! That’s me! 
LOL  - Tis' the season to be crafting! Between Bumble, pallets, cookies, crafts & Christmas countdown begun I am experiencing a little more pain  than expected. LOL 

Thank God for Cannabis. 

I have been on a bit of a break from Cannabis cartoons - well not drawing them but researching and reading. It started to get to me. As the rest of the world acknowledges, admits to decades of lies and shows positive  research into Cannabis, Canada still claims it has no medicinal values and will get into the hands of kids everywhere. 
Lies and bullshit and you and I know it.  

Don’t believe me? Look at the facts now on statistics in Colorado. 
Kids who will get into drugs get into drugs. 
Most start with far more dangerous and addictive *PROVEN - I might add* Alcohol. 
I’ve said it all before.. I feel like ‘I’ve drawn it all’ before and YES, we still live it. 

How many people have died or have gotten much worse in the short time we have been introduced to the Cannabis community.. for me - I’m aware of the children in Canada and the USA, all dealing with serious issues (life and death in most cases), added debt, stress and added stress and bureaucratic bullshit.  Added unnecessary stress. 

OVER a plant!  It makes me literally sick to my stomach if I think about it long enough. 
Why I have stepped back and changed my direction of focus. 
I don’t want to be next on that list.   

It does not mean I am NOT thinking and drawing.. 
For Now.. Let’s BE Merry! 
I am - Im going to go decorate the living room! 
I am remembering the reason for the season, making a hot tea with medicated honey! 
Yes, my hands hurt. My twitch never stops but I am blessed and I know it. 

As long as we can - there is no excuse not to.
