A few things triggered another argument around here & another weekend where little conversation is happening, what else is new.  

I gave away postcards the other day and someone asked me 'if I could send one to someone' in particular and "tagged' the woman, I checked out her page - as I do & the first post I read said:
                        "There are days I wish I did not survive my brain surgery."

Me too. 

It is something when you have days where you feel the only  creature in on the planet that would miss you when your gone are your dogs.  No wonder I love this little dog so much. 

Time to shut myself in my office and paint.
It is what seems to keep everyone the happiest.

Sheep; I learned 'a group', can be called a flock, herd or mob. < My cartoonist mind smiles.
During flocking, sheep have a strong tendency to follow and a leader may simply be the first individual to move.  They follow to the point where they all follow off a cliff.  
​Duh.  *or they all watch the same 'reality T.V.'  show at the same time.

I was thinking 'this Tiger is far from Purfect'  in my opinion... who cares.
Even my own opinion does not matter.  
I tried. I learned and the next tiger will be better.  
What a pleasure to stare into a tigers eyes as I learn to paint & study  his whiskers.
I am confident it was better for my brain than any commercial invading yours.

Up before Norm today, we talked how this winter just does not 'feel like winter', no snow, and I doubt the lake will even freeze this year. Not good for Ice fishing, good for Fish.
Only -7 outside & I am still out in my robe putting peanuts in the feeder! What happened to visions of me in waist high snow surrounded by bluejays!?  Every morning I think "don't slip on the snow Georgia - or it's a show you neighbours wont soon forget.  This time of year all I see is houses in the backyard, filled with kids stuff. It's o.k. Im planning on traveling this summer.  & painting. Suggestion to Storm only an hour ago - I"the gazebo will be my painting Studio this summer" and he said:    " ... Marco!..... Polo!!...... Marco!!...."
My dreams of peaceful poppy painting disappeared in an instant.  He is quick. 
Made me giggle. I am traveling this summer.  Here and there.

A FB friend mentioned this a.m., I went and sure enough it was feeding time! How AWESOME to see that! I felt blessed! Then she circled and settled down on top like Ive seen Chickens do a million times in cartoons! Wow ;) 

I AM LOV'n my watercolor! I can't get enough talk about addiction! & I feel great today so it's time to get busy! Warms ups are a must - these water color post cards are it! I am making them to send to friends and might have a couple on ETSY. Im etsy slacking already.. hee hee  Today its all about the lion with sheep - I am playing and experimenting - so far so good! My little ROOR, I missed it, I didn't medicate as much - today it's on my desk! 
My 'twitch'  btw never stops anymore.. I get mini breaks. Thank God.
I STILL feel blessed to hit here RIGHT NOW.

God woke me up - I'll take it as a sign to keep going.

Monday, I spent the day with my son & Poppy! Ikea & Bass Pro both  places we was often looked at by employees - always with a smile. Good. 
At home - when people visit- different dog! She barks & has a set of pipes on her! 
It was a great day but tiring, too tired to blog let alone draw I relaxed on the chair the rest of the evening. Yesterday, Bon & I painted the day ended with a fine dinner or Quick Pizza - More friends sold now on Quick and the' best Pizza they have had in a very long time' ;)  A wonderful day was had by all.

Talent on Instagram! 
You find people on instagram by what attracts you 'visually'.
For me, its pencil drawings... and sketch book drawings. I am blown away of the extent of detail in #moleskine shots on Instagram . That is how you find and 'follow' people.
I am following those who INSPIRE, nothing to do with anything else first, including cannabis. Well, I do follow a 'God Vibe' account - lol - positive quotes ;)
I'm following Stephen & Jerry & David of course. & slowly finding a few others like Joshua and friends! Ivan is not on yet - I am trying to encourage him as I see his art there with no #IVANART home.  I'm 'new' too and I know he is busy- it's float time!  
You don't know details like where people are from, age, you don't know much at all, really - ONLY what you see, and some attracts me. others - amuse and interest, luckily not to many offend. If I am, for what ever reason- I don't look. I spend my time elsewhere.

I know bit about Hunter because I sent him a message... ;) he is only 16 and in Texas *I think where HUGE black Cows roam the streets (saw in on his instagram!)  His work is very impressive already - it caught my attention for his attention to detail. He recently applied for a school - I hope he gets. I do not see how he couldn't possibly get in from the tiny bit of talent He's shared on his account.
 I've decided to ask certain young artists if interested in 'bartering'- so far so good Two for Two.. I suggested to Hunter what I was hoping for and  his drawing/painting is on my desk

**Re my Etsy shop: Once I tried to open..  it stated I needed a credit card. You have to pay them a small fee and if your item sells you pay them 3.5% (I think that is whatI read)
I am credit card free... & credit card debt free!  
Etsy says I need one to 'open shop',  so today I will look today into a prepaid cards and use it. Do you hear it - a sigh of relief  ;)  less time to worry about that stuff and more time to just paint!   The guys laugh at how I just want to paint.  I don't care about making money - well, I do when I need art supplies.  

I have to giggle! It's brisk today again! You walk a little quicker is all, I took poppy to check the mail & get the paper bright and early! Forget it!! Unless she gets her own parka we won't be walking anywhere in this weather! LOL  Not 1/2 there and it was 'PICK ME UP!!'  Sunshine or no sunshine... Good, we can save our money Poppy and put it towards more painting supplies when needed and a good book!

  **I was up before the birds and excited! Todays the day! 
I've got so much to do I can't wait - why am I so excited > My awesome son took me to Curry's yesterday in Barrie!  ( a mini road trip - Poppy too & lunch!)
He wanted to go to Cabelas for some winter camping equipment. & I was thrilled- Poppy and I walked the store - I fell for this new parka by - An Inuit Style- made in Canada - It was so frigging comfortable and warm! I've wanted a Canada Goose - until I saw and tried this on. Im now switched over!  The fur detaches for easy cleaning, yes, real fur.  I won't apologize - there are far worse atrocities going on in the world, I try to focus on them, like child trafficking for sex. Don't start with me on fur in other words.  ;) If you have issues - take it up with the manufactures.  I might actually get out & walk Poppy if I get one...  it is not in the budget at the moment.  Then we sat by the fire and I drew a Moose! A real Moose head anyhow, I thought - 'Poppy How often do we get to draw a moose!?'
So we sat there and drew- such a good girl. She gets so many smiles.

So - It's time to open up my Etsy store!  I'm excited!
I told the guys I'll be in the shop most of the day! It's time.  OH - back to yesterday - My son bought me new water color pan set!!! A paint pallet - every time I look at it I find I breath a little faster!  He also purchased  the paper! Little 6x6 water color pads! I decided! I'd paint a few mini works of fun art! Stuff to make someone smile! 
Storm also bought me a new Moleskine sketch book! 2!! One for water color- I'll share that at a later date.. but every morning I've decided to start my day with a sketch! Usually at 5a.m. lately - it's been my cup of coffee.. Today I drew a rooster, thinking 'WAKE UP!!!' with him bursting out of my cup of coffee- Storm woke up, sees me just finishinging my sketch and says "Great, going to start your day with a big cup of Cock this morning mom? 
LOL  Then I blushed! "It's a rooster!!"   ah... I LOVE my son! 
Time to get that Etsy site up and running!  Just an excuse to paint more!  
Then I can purchase my own parka. ;)

*** I have to add  *It's wonderful to have friends in High places!  When in Halliburton - I broke my favourite little mini bong- my ROOR. ;(  I came home and tried to go without - but when my face twitches - its is hard to use the bigger bongs - this one has a 'straw like' 
tube and it is EASY to hold - it also packs a punch!  So, I e mailed Martin of ROOR... we have kept in touch with a few e mail over the years,  I explained to him what happened and his reply: "No problem what's your address.."
Not a week later and I have my new mini ROOR!! It packs such a punch - Do not be fooled by size.  It's awesome, I do recommend them if you use a bong.  Small and Mighty. 
It is my 'office bong', cartooning - Medicated, so I can focus and draw and enjoy this life!

As you might be aware, I've been taking a break fro Cannabis cartoons - it is never far from my mind.  That is the problem, when it does enter my mind - be it the news or comment I've read elsewhere - it usually pisses me off to be blunt.
There is hint in the air -to be fair- the government or those in it, wish to treat Cannabis *which will eventually become legal in Canada much like the L.C.B.O.  
​* L.C.B.O.  For those that are not aware - In Canada- that is where we go but our booze.
Alcohol, You name it - it is there!  every kind of GIN, Whiskey, Tequila 'T-killya', Rye & wine- of every kind from every corner! Now they want to sell Cannabis too.
For one reason $$$ and to every patient who truly uses cannabis for what they NEED it for- it's a slap in the face. A slap I feel fresh every time I pick up the paper,  moms (dads) who fight still for very sick children - who Cannabis has PROVEN to help - you just kicked them in the gut.
The articles alone - I am so sick of the lack of respect - for anyone really - wording that makes me wonder what happened to 'professional journalism', which I have looked up to all my life (and wished I could be capable of- without grammar errors ;)) I do understand it tho.. its all to do just that. Piss us off. Hopefully  it gets people thinking which, I do like this particular journalist for. 

Let me tell you FIRST hand: We would have been LOST without the help of  'compassion clubs'.  That is who I am for!  Compassion Clubs.
When you find a club that is professional and cares- they take the initial time to explain,
teach- take one through the process, even shows one hoe to vaporize for example- and they do- wow! Stress can be lifted by those that KNOW best. Surrounded by it - made a profession from it.  My friend Neeve has been in the Cannabis industry in Toronto long before any of this was even a spark. Yes, I trust his opinion on what strain he thinks works best for what. Adam runs a club in Montreal that makes some od the best baked goods I've ever had. Yes, I trust his opinion before I trust the opinion of anyone at the L.C.B.O. 
YOU must find a club 'you feel good' about. You will be the ones dealing with them every time you need your medicine. 

God did put us on the right path back then!  We were blessed to have people who cared about this journey, about Storm and our family.
My Gosh! You have no idea.  I am forever grateful to them. Gabe, who I've not spoke with for years still holds a special place in my heart for the time he took and the degree that he helped us. Many are still friends today.

Doctors can't recommend a strain - they are NOT the cannabis exerts, they are 'health' experts.
For Journalists or anyone else to ASSume, compassion clubs are run by people who do not know what they are doing- that could be said for any business.
Find one that is working and frequent them. Let them prove themselves.
Below are three I know of, but I suggest you Google  'compassion club' - in your own area, home town. You might get closest city. Or ask people - it is more common then you realize. There are many cannabis friendly communities online.
I do not recommend buying from people online you do not know.
I do not recommend anyone online, I do not recommend any LP... yet.
CALM  is the club we first went to  in Toronto - what seems like a very long time ago, we have not been in years, again I stress - find one that suits you and your 'vibe' YOU must 'feel' comfortable.
Sante Cannabis Is in Montreal.  I had delt with them over the years - they had incredible baked goods, IMO.   ;) 
 The Medical Cannabis Dispensary_   is run by a woman I have come to know  and  think she is very helpful. They are in B.C.
The above are - If asked - I point in the direction, it's you own path.  

Phhhhhbt! If you think the drug stores are any different - they want the same thing the L.C.B.O. does - don't fool yourself $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

IF they do will they hand out free samples like they do at the L.C,B.O.?

I read a comment on FB Mandy McKnight made a while back and it stuck with me..  I'm not sure of Her exact words but it was something along the lines, IF Health Canada could not get it right - in HOW LONG???  -What makes them think the L.C.B.O. will be any different?
Compassion clubs started for a reason.

For sunlight and moonlight! 
I asked what do you want to show me today? & this is what I saw.  
Big bold letters across my computer screen and my first thought was:
I'm sure it's been done.
Not by me... a child of God, wanting to express my love the best way I know how. 
I really am enjoying taking my time, calming my mind.
I'm researching, looking at natures beauty constantly, gives me a new appreciation for everything. If we can't get 'out to' see it - at least we can view it online.
What will you choose see today? 

Instagram has an incredible amount of talented people - enough to make me get off and draw!  I find it inspiring, especially when you see such talent from young beings all around the world! The key is becoming inspired and not absorbed, imo.  ;)

It took e a while for obvious reasons - plus a few distractions like going to see The Revenant with my guys, wow- action from start to finish -  & helped to put me in the snow mood with beautiful scenery - Filmed in Canada.   *Best Movie I've seen in a while BUT -  I do not like the movie theatre experience anymore.  I am fine to stay home and watch it on  TV. Unless its some "fantastic 3D movie', I'll pass.

My last craftsy class was a success I feel.  
It has taught me about patience more than anything.
The style of layering, you have to wait until the paint is dry or it will bleed - and bleed it does!  I love quotes,  A few words can bring a smile across my face. 
​It is my intention with every watercolor to accompany them with a  quote ;)

When I was researching elephants,  so many photos with trunks embraced.
Moms & babies, friends, lovers... holding trunks. 
I wish everyone was as interested in elephants as they are in other issues.. perhaps then we might do something about saving them.

​I am determined to make this year one of the best I've ever experienced! 

That list of goals here are a few:
- Take a new  art class every month.  (So far so good!)
-Try a new restaurant every month. - so far so good & my son said he will help me accomplish this task for 2016! 
-Pat (preferably sunggle- lol) an elephant... not sure how this will happen but, I am      determined.  I've patted a Dolphin.  Petted?    HUGGED! 
-DRAW/PAINT/DOODLE EVERY DAY!  So far so good.
-Take a painting trip this summer up North & PAINT in the wild in a cabin - just me and  Poppy.  A log cabin would be nice. Must look into this. 
​-Plant a raised vegetable garden!
-Learn a new dish once a month. lol  That is enough cooking time.
-Teach BBBird (how to sing 'Georgia' - Willie Style) so far so good.
-Explore more.
-Remember every single person you meet has hand in changing this universe so be MORE friendly!
-Send someone an original work of art every month. Big or small. Just because. 
   Send out the love you have been given! So far so good.
-Travel to the states to visit my friend Todd and a few others, possibly - *IF our $$$ does   NOT continue to drop! Kowabunga! Even with the price of gas- the exchange would be difficult. Luckily, we will stay and eat with friends! hahahhahahaa! Ready!?
-Tell people 'I love them'- Oh, I already do this - Good.
-Thank someone everyday! If they make you happy, smile- THANK them. Done!
- Learn how to paint better detail and take your time! So far so good.
-Be OPEN for all that God is going to send you this year! DONE!!!
-Encourage  young artists on instagram and send them originals.  Done.
- Pray, meditate, chant more. 
-NEW music! One new CD a month! Do you have a CD you want to send me? Please do! 
I'll trade you for a comic. lol  I love all EXCEPT hard rock, metal, punk. Techno.. electro.. hiphop.. hahhahhhaaa! I like it easy, relaxing & upbeat! 
- Open Etsy store...  almost. This will be our 'road trip fund'.  I figure.  ;)

Thinking of this year, knowing - understanding - what I want the universe will do all in its power to help me accomplish! HOW exciting!  Makes me tingle with anticipation!   When inspired by love you cannot fail.

I love my little everlasting red rose. It is one of 3 Mille (Murrine Glass) I keep on my desk.
I just found this site online - go have a peek. It features some of one of my favourite glass guys work. ;)  & you will have a better understanding of Mille. I didn't have that long of a glance, but some really nice images, like the 'Yoda', also very cool. ;)   I'm going to draw Yoda and Kermit again soon.

Jerry Kelly - who made my Laughing Buddha pendant  which I wear often, each time I see my sons stress level rise. I get it, one time he made me take it off because I kept banging it against the table when I leaned forward to speak to him - the table had a metal edge.  
When I am not wearing it - it hangs in my office from the very first laughing Buddha painting I did on 'board'. I also have couple mille and components (I'm learning the lingo) 
of Laughing Buddha.  It's quite the beautiful collection I have!
As proud of each one, cherished more than any royal dolton, simply because they were also created by friends. Artist. People like us. 

Jerry is one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of getting to know a bit about,  the past couple  of years. I was hoping to visit this past summer but I had a million and one excuses. I'll tell you I've noticed a pattern, I say 'I'm going here' and 'I'm going there', but  most days I can't even imagine driving to Toronto let alone go to Spain... lol  is it a defence mechanisms? I don't know.
Storm and I do talk about travel & who knows what tomorrow might bring.
Dare to dream.  I won't ever stop.  As my friend Jerry would say All Day Every Day!
The past couple of years I have learned he is  a 'good guy', with a big heart.

Yesterday, I painted just for fun - yet with a purpose! lol
My kermit the frog headphones keep getting in my way- or I hang them on my comp - then I can't see... So I needed "a thing to hang on the wall - like this - exactly" and handed it to my personal contractor ;)  He just looked at me, the drawing and walked away.   20 minutes later he was back - what was I thinking I should have said - make the 'pole' removable - at least until I paint it. I almost blinded my good eye! LOL 

Inspired by the little pencil box, I've had FOREVER and still sits on my desk to this day - well worn, Snow white says "Please Be Tidy".  Well we all Know Pinocchio- NO BULLSHIT! 
It will hold my headphones and remind me - no bullshit - i don't. As a matter of fact Im knowns for being 'blunt'.  If we can't be truthful with friends - good and bad. what does friend mean? No bullshit & don't bullshit me.  Sooner or later I figure it out.
Then, I try to figure out the reasoning before I decide... do I remove this person from my path. Permanently.   & YES to remind me - don't bullshit - at what cost?  
No thanks.   There is no need. So - careful what you ask. ;)

From start to finish this had me giggling for numerous reasons,  imagine the look on these two's faces when they see me painting this tall, flesh colored thing on my desk.  I don't tell them what I'm doing.  I like them to see it finished like everyone else! ;) 
I did keep having to adjust my face around painting Pinocchio, liked the looks I gave them both. I also cleaned my painting room a bit still more to go.. then I'm back on that Raven in the Cannabis field.

Today, I'm drawing 'A' from all the suggestions on FB. A & F will be the first two free downloads.   What about you?

I am not on FB, I have the next few posts 'Scheduled', I can do that with my page - up to 6 months in advanced, and as many posts as I want, dates and times all chosen.
It's a pretty cool feature I'm taking advantage of more - so I can paint even more.

Well,  not quite but close enough for today!  
My son is taking me for Tapas & to meet friends! Which reminds me  my list of Goals for this year! I should share it - on the list a new restaurant a month!  lol 
I am determined to  get out - occassionally- lol and what better that for a good meal!  
After his trip to Spain last year Storm came home with a new appreciation for the food! 
Lucky me!  One day.. Lunch in Spain, that is on the list too.

* Storms Chrismtas Gift arrived yesterday!!! Yippie! lol - No more stalking the mailman.
He was beyond thrilled- Christmas was saved (the gift part) the other part -Jesus-  is all good. ;)  Really, it was like Christmas day all over - so that was a good thing!  I got  a hug and kiss & to see him staring at his gifts - endlessly- lol - all worth while. 

I am terrible in the sense - If I want to draw- LEAVE me be. lol I have started this forrest fox.. and want to finish.  time to do that now - before I must get ready. 
I took photos yesterday for Todds  (my friend in jail) next letter. I keep telling him about 'my birds', so I decided to take and print a few photos.. yesterday was a day of backyard mayhem with those squirrels! Perfect- they ended up in my drawing. ;) 
The bluejays look plump - it is how they keep themselves constantly warm on these cold -11 Canadian Days.

Time to get a bit of painting in on my fox- shared tomorrow.

We can't control anyone but ourselves and even that is a task some days.
At times I will focus on something that has happened in the past and  I may as well be in a cave- not much else can penetrate. Well - not any more. Not for a while really.
I learned from Charles Schultz there are no excuses- especially for a cartoonist. Please - you can't think of anything to draw? A million happenings right now - just LOOK. Listen. Read, learn. I find if I can't cartoon/draw it is simply because I'm tired.

There is no point. Move on.
I have one drawing  complete & I'm sketching another!
I'm going to say YES more this year to things, people and places.  

If you are looking at a closed door with anger- move on.  Chances are the other person has.
If you are waiting for others - fine wait- BUT keep doing your own thing in the process!

I am too busy having fun to wait for anyone... Imagining I am in a forrest with foxes.

On another note....
Mail - Storms Christmas gift has still not arrived ( I am writing this blog early in the a.m.) also waiting for packages, from the USA (a couple), Russia & Germany. Canada post.. you stink. Or everyone else does. 
​I told Storm about his gift,  he is EXCITED, now its become a bit of a joke.. He said I "should get the package mailed Kubla Khan mail" - apparently the first successful 'mail systems' in history, it gave me a good giggle- watching a documentary at the time. Yesterday, just as he pulled up in the driveway I was past him walking to the mail box.. he saw me- I was smiling - before he went out - I said  "if I check the mail & its there- I'm not telling and will wrap it up - for valentines day!"  lol.. so  the next thing I know - I turn, expecting to see him walking to the front door and he is running behind me!
I let out a yell and ran faster! I beat him to the mail box! & Shoved in my arm before he could - he was now right beside me!  NO package!   Awwww. & it was the second time I checked today, he reminded me!  Double awwwww (we laughed again) lol in this cold! brrr....  Poppy refused to accompany me, anything over  -10,  she goes into hibernation. 
It sure had me laughing though.  I love my son.
He said, had it been there he would have ripped it out of my hands and ran!!  lol
He is so cheeky, still. ;)   Next check, I warm up before my run.

A is for.... 
I'm not there yet! I skipped and drew a F is For Fox on January the first, in fabulous footwear with a frog feasting on fried fungi! & MORE!  
I had a peaceful time thinking & painting the fox on wood I just finished.
I don't know where to hang it..lol   I believe it will be a gift in the future for someone.
Beautiful creatures,  I think of the best of both - a cat and a dog combined... it's a cartoonist thing.  Last time Storm was away camping in bear country he had a 'friend Fox' who came and sat on the opposite of the camp fire at night. It was incredible to see & quite the experience for him.  He felt blessed, alone just him and his fox, it also stayed around during the day - curious. I think it was still just a pup.
In Japan they have  place full of foxes!   I might visit it one day - when I go and visit my friend Yasunori Abe, we met an an TY EXPO a few years ago and are now pen-pals. I am so honoured he takes the time to write to me and read my letters. He does not speak English. 
He is on my mind - I started a letter today.
I believe foxes beautiful, peaceful, creatures with a real natural playful side!
Not to mention WOW! Fiery Red fox! An artist delight.
I have a drawing soon with them and a beautiful quote. 3 days work no doubt.
I think if it works out and FB helps... I'll ask for Assistance for A and each letter After. 
I will have the A B C  coloring pages ready for download soon! They will be  tagged ABC!!
You can go and download the entire alphabet - if you so desire.
I'm also going to color them for a complete finished book in the end.

*Dear friends who get my e mails and read my blog... I apologize for all my mistakes.  
I just reread an e mail to a friend and I see mistakes. Like I said: Canadian and Canadian & I meant to say Canadian and American. ;(  & simple things,  I write 'who instead of 'how.
I often see I don't type the "t' in 'the'.. stuff.  No matter how many times I proof read - I don't see them, It brings me down. I know they know, I am not well but all the same... it gets to me.
 
Now, I remember I am blessed - because I am about to go and finish tomorrows cartoon!

About the drawing...
I did it late last night. 
Too tired to look for my 'better water color', I use a pkg. purchased with 'art cards' many moons ago. The cards are great but the paint is CHALKY, the sensation is not pleasant as my hands glide across the drawing.  
Thank goodness for the program that edits or you would not see the black! 
1/2 way I was tempted to stop... clearly, I did not.
I went with the flow of the paint and the evening.

Either way it turned out here.
So, it is just an illusion.  The message is real. 
I have drawn very similar before - I guess, it keep wanting to repeat.  
BE Nice.  

Most Quotes drawn this year will be taken from a calendar, my wonderful friend Cathy gets me EVEY year for Christmas . I am sure you can still get one - and maybe for a deal-  I've included a link.  ;)

I just spent the morning (and have a few STILL) sending e mail to those I love.
Those who put a spark in my life and days they Inspire,  teach, make me laugh and show me love in countless ways, with gifts, e mail, notes, Skype dates and more. Time. 
People, my life is richer because of.  Not with $$ but with love and that is truly priceless.

I like to think, I speak with only love and hope everyone remembers that when I get frustrated.  I have the feeling  they do. 

Time to paint & continue thinking of those I love, I am so excited to see what this years holds for ALL of US!!  
I plan on giving more.  Making more people smile.  Simple.
