Even as I sit here I feel I had to get this out of my brain. It is full, cluttered with what 'if's'...
What ever will be will be..   Let it be.  Blow it out let it go!    Ask yourself to name 40 reasons Cannabis is important to you. At least 40.  It is no longer a cannabis issue but a human rights issue for our family.  I can think of 40 reasons...
I like the idea. I think I'll try it a few times,  saw it on PIN.
The next I will leave blank so all of you can add the 'stuff'   ;-)

I think a break, a blog, & Buddha are in order the next few days.

DERIVATIVES
unitive |ˈyoōnətiv; yoōˈnī-| |ˈjunədɪv| |ˈjuːnɪtɪv| adjective
ORIGIN late Middle English : from Latin unit- ‘joined together,’ from the verb unire, from unus ‘one.’

As an outsider looking in ... you can’t help but think WTF is going on?   How silly it all is and what a waste of time and money! Never mind all that,  explain to the mom who’s child is ill and cannabis is saving their life  and not being able to get the medicine that some take for granted several times daily. The little girl ‘Charloette’ in the Dr. Gupta special,  I  recall  her mom commenting on the fear of not having the medicine. How did the Hyde Family feel when they ran out of medicine for Cashy and his cancer returned... had to deal with political bull on top of it all as well - yet in a few states over it is legal for medicinal & recreational!?  How UNITED is that Mr. Obama?

How is this sane? Or fair? It’s not fair!  I know I sound like a 5 year old - but it simply is NOT fair so why the fuck complicate it??  Everyone else will do that for us.  I hope I have not upset any Americans.  It is out of love and care that I guess I even think about it.   We are moving backwards with our own political nightmare - that is what it will be...  I just can’t help think about it all and how unfair it all is. ALL based on fear and lies.

Imagine how the different parents in the ‘United’ states feel - one will continue to watch their child suffer - or RISK going to jail - OR worse- losing their child over a plant that is PROVING to help many children and countless adults all around the world.

I don’t have to imagine how those parents feel I know. I lose sleep over it.

I am a parent of a kid (now a fine young man)  soon he will not have the same access to the same meds.   We are expected to let strangers - or ‘health officials’ (after what they have just proven to us???) tell us how to take our medicine that we have been successfully managing for years on our own - and we will be expected to pay high prices?  No PUN intended.

I don’t need to imagine. I am one of these parents and I am also now one f these patients.    xox UNITED we stand, DIVIDED we fall ALL!!!   <><

Kills will try to get high. It is a sad fact. When drawing this piece, I thought not me.. not realizing that yes, I was high duh with alcohol, but such a normal part of our lives - it hardly goes noticed.  It was easy to get booze. Deny if you want but sooner or later your kid will - the facts PROVE that. SO WHY NOT be the ones to be having this conversation.

I was not sure about including the choking, but someone commented it on Fb and it was not to long ago in my own town a young man passed that way. Everyone was shocked.  The article went on to say that many people don't disclose the information and that is is all too common!!!  TALK about it, it is NOT 'o.k.' and NOT something to play with.

None os this is about suicide, it is about wanting to experience  a 'Euphoria', high, carelessness.  I have learned in all of this,  children want to do it -naturally- just like adults,  why do you think there are so many  alcoholics?  Children first experience getting high by spinning, or holding their breath...   then most kids are introduced by a sibling or peer. They do get creative! Out of necessity. OUT of prohibition. Look how the worlds poorest children get high, usually inhaling a harmful chemical out of a bag.
The rest is history. Some of these highs are damaging and can make children very ill and kill them.  This new one, Sham-boiling - I had to look it up to believe it was real.  Tell me that is NOT harmful - chemical inhaling.. ANYone can do it.
EDUCATE your kids.
So now I am wondering and yet again - the one that no one has ever died from is the one that remains illegal? WF is wrong with us?

Seriously ask yourself,   After you research!!:
If your 12/14   year old, came to you and said they wanted to experience getting HIGH, they would do it with or without you- they had several friend who have offered to get them high several ways .. what would you do?

You better do something. Drug abuse is on the rise amongst kids 11 and up... but guess what  -it's not cannabis it is pharmaceuticals. < prove me wrong.  Do not believe the fear mongering.  Educate your kids and then have faith in them, and you.
Our children are our gift.     xox  <><

In the beginning...

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Pets and cannabis

I LOVE my dogs!  I call them my Girls, my entourage! LOL  Why? Millions of reasons but the obvious is the unconditional love and companionship you get from a dog.  Never has my awareness of my girls for my health been so apparent. Quite simply THEY keep me going.  They get me up, make me play - Daisy will drop a ball in my lap until the cows come home.  They are constant reminders as well, to LIVE in the moment.

Scruffy is our rebel and is getting in trouble from time to time, I can scold her (NOT HIT) and a few minutes later she is by my side as though nothing happened.  They are smart, intuitive, funny, entertaining, loving... it’s endless.  There are many days when I wake not feeling that great already, usually woke up by my twitch - this can also make one slightly grumpy..  the next thing I know Poppy realizes my eyes are open and jumps on my face ;D, Scruffy crawls over for a morning  tummy scratch and Tequila give an acknowledging growl ... soon Daisy will be up and then all go out for a morning ‘visit.’

Its a routine! Yes, it is also work.  Work I love. I would be lonely with out them, especially since the past few years I’ve practically become an a hermit.

I often go outside and just sit and watch the dogs  the next thing I am laughing out loud - everyone does - Daisy will be flinging Poppy, Poppy chasing Scruffy and  knows the short cuts because she can’t keep up with them- it is a source of endless amusement and I love it. Better than a T.V.   I’d be lost without them. Which brings me to Cannabis - LOL  You knew that was coming. I read yesterday an article staring Cannabis poison was on the rise with pets :
http://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/2013/09/pet-marijuana-intoxication-rise/
For years I have had opportunity to have the conversation & asked Vets. to provide me with 'proof' - none have to date. This article above tells of two dogs that ‘did die’, IMO it is presumptuous to say it was the cannabis alone, It could have been something else in the edible. I had, a few years ago 2 dogs die, I lost Hunny from BEEF bones that were too hard on her tummy. I almost lost Tequila and Scruffy at the time too!  Another that got into my twitch medication - a prescribed medication and only had abut 3 pills.
Our dog died in my arms, we did not make it to the vet in time...

AND YES if you do call the poison control for your pets YOU ARE CHARGED, the site says $35. They won't even give you the info until you provide a credit card.
I KNOW.  I paid $70 AMERICAN!!  They could NOT tell me at the time a location of a emergency clinic - they gave me an address in Illinois, which would be o.k. If I did not live in CANADA, that phone call was a JOKE. (blog on it - tag dogs) THIS is also FEAR mongering to an extent.
Please don't be fooled. YES, please take precaution with your medicine from animals and kids! It can be upsetting, even if your dogs gets cannabis, you worry, they pass out.. if you are not prepared it can be frightening, I was frightened the first time it happened to our dog, Tequila. SHE likes it most and will sneak bud if she can.

We had a dog, ‘Indy’ would run to the sound of the volcano being used. We have had several dogs ingest cannabis - they all just slept it off. Cookies, bud and medicated cocoa butter < they love it Scruffy would lick if off my hands if she could.
I have no fear of my dogs getting into Cannabis, to this day I am afraid to give them 'treats' and still have a heavy heart about my pills  now almost paranoid ;( one of life's hardest lessons for me. I never took another after I saw what only a few did.

Cannabis is a healthier option for pets as well compared to prescribed medications.
ANYthing that comes into this house for my pets - if it says ‘not safe for children’ it does not come in the house! Even the toys I get the girls have to be newborn safe.
ALSO  pet vaccines, medicines, prescriptions - many designed for HUMANS.
All dogs -- from a Chihuahua to a Great Dane -- get the same rabies dosage.
Let me put that into perspective; a 3-pound Chihuahua gets half the dose that is given to a 1,200-pound horse! All dogs get 1 ml of vaccine, and horses get 2 mls of vaccine. What is wrong with that picture!?

I have a friend who gives her dog anxiety pills ;(     - no comment.
Really?  LIKE everything else  Vet medicine is a BUSINESS. THINK before you say o.k. to putting a pill in your pooch!! I started to research drug reactions for dogs and it is alarming, many have adverse reaction and can easily die, I am even more hesitant.

I found this site informative and not too frightening:

Deva & Mitten LIVE!

Well scratch that off my bucket list!
I saw & HEARD Deva and Mitten LIVE and it was a night I won't forget.  The best part of the evening of course was the company! My son purchased these tickets - back in January I think!! He wanted to do something special for mothers day and he accomplished it.
Several years ago I was introduced to the music of Deva Premal by a good friend Sr. Jane. I've been hooked ever since! After surgery especially, I try to keep relaxing music in the background and these mantras I find I sing without even realizing.
It calms my brain. Listen for yourself:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2j2BxkCSmiQ&list=TLlDP2KdFYfeM
We started with Lunch! A quick stop to SAIL for a reel for my fisherman. Then downtown! We had a wonderful meal at an Italian place across the street, again a treat from my son.
It is so nice to have such a fine young man for company- such great conversation. Medicated (twitch somewhat under control) the show began and it was an experience for the eyes and ears and mind. You could not help but smile watching the GURU, Storm commented several times how much he was enjoying the show much to his surprise.
Intermission - outside for a quick puff and Storm had me cracking up!
Back in to see Deva, Mitten, Manose and Maneesh  - It was everything I imagined and more. You can't help but feel peace listening to such beauty.
I will say one thing - there was a woman 2 rows in front who filmed much of it on her ipad!
It was a distraction - it was like a TV screen in front of us, and she could not hold still - it was BEYOND rude, and I was not alone - the looks of disgust were obvious but clearly in her selfishness she did not care about those around her.
What is with people?  We just tried to ignore her as best as we could and focus on the show.
I am thankful for Cannabis, I was medicated for the first part of both shows  I did have a bad attack through part of Deva but I rode it out and just reminded myself to breath!
The twitch did not ruin my evening.
Nothing could have ruined my evening.
I was with my son and that was enough right there.
POPPY - on the other had - it was our FIRST real separation for any amount of time and she was not happy. My hubby said she cried all night! awww...  She was so happy to see me when we got home you think I had been gone for a year. If only husbands acted like this at our return lol .

Want to bring yourself some peace today - Listen to  Deva and Mitten or The Guru Ganesha Band! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVYylcHszrM  Love this song..

If you ask any loving parent, would you let your child become a human Guinea pig?
"GASP" !?  NO!!!  Would be the response.
With each purchase you are making a decision and you are 'being the CHANGE'.
If you buy it, you support it - simple.  What are you teaching your children every time you buy them something? Do you read labels for GMO products? Paying attention to the amount of sugar they get daily?
We are not even close to understanding the full extent of GMO's and what the long term effect will be on our health and our children's. Why take any chances?
We need to seriously think 'long term health' when it comes to our children, they deserve it. So do we. So we can all live long and happy lives free from a third

Haunted by the idea?

Fear Mongering. I see it daily in the paper - still. Hanging on to the reefer madness threads that have has us all believing a tangled web of lies for decades!  But the only fear mongering it seems possible is for ' the children'. Of course.
If we make Cannabis legal  more children will use it. <Is what the conservatives want you to believe.  Keeping Cannabis illegal thinking your kid won't try it - well good luck. We all have been there, have we not?  I remember  one of Storms friend when  younger, telling me 'cannabis will fry your brain', he now smokes.  Kids ARE finding out the truth with the power of the internet and are learning Cannabis is NOT as bad as we have been led to believe.
Chances are they are going to try it!
Frankly, good! IF they must I 'd rather it be with something not as harmful as the many other options out there!  BUT keeping it legal will mean that eventually when Little Johnny  does toke up - he might get caught and get slapped with a criminal record.
I have learned from people over the years the true devastation a criminal record causes for simple possession of a plant!  Something that DOES not harm as much as alcohol for example...  It is shameful.
It WILL haunt them for the rest of their lives unless THEY pay $$$$ to try to have it erased. More $$ scam.  It can effect them from getting the job they desire later in life, from working with children, volunteering,  traveling, family and friends - relationships can suffer. People made to feel and LIVE like Criminals for something many do daily and brag about.  LETs NOT forget the private prison, what a great way to fill them up.  Are we on our way to becoming another USA? They have more people in prison than anyplace else, many for victimless crimes.  How's that working for them? The bottomless pit called the war on drugs $$$$$ The failed war on Drugs. < FACT.
I believe it is better for the children for numerous reasons WHEN Cannabis become legal - or even better decriminalized..

- Parents won't go to jail for a victimless crime, leaving their children in foster care
-Parents wont lose jobs and will stil be able to feed kids  over a victimless crime.
- Making it legal will make it easier to get from a reputable source - NOT from a serious        DRUG dealer. (Easier for adults) Children would have to show I.D.
- If cannabis were legal - hopefully kids will STOP using FAKE/synthetic cannabis - that kills: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthetic_cannabis
-They won't overdoes on Cannabis when they try it and hopefully will not become dependent - although your chances of becoming addicted to cannabis are much lower than  the many options out there.

RESEARCH and decide what is best for your kids before someone else does.
KEEPING Cannabis ILL
Not worried now - so keep it illegal-  in a blink of an eye is a common phrase for a reason- don't wait for a blink of an eye or a phone call from jail before you give this some thought.

Another f*cked up word.

Here is a perfect example of  a where the f*ck did that word come from?
I was writing a letter to my friend Josh in Seattle and when proof reading, I see I wrote him how awesome I think his 'Sascrotch' is!!  I have to repeat it in  my own head a few times.. it sounds right but  that's not what I meant was it? LOL, WAS is? WTF is a Sascrotch?   I then found it very amusing and had to draw it. What is a sascrotch?  I am forever making these speech mistakes and most of the time they are funny. laugh or cry.
Not so funny when you realize the frequency.

But then, after a shrug - 'it is, what it is' and a giggle I then had fun drawing it, trying to imagine the look on the cats' face.  I am sure I might offend some with this cartoon, be it subject or the hearing aid part (which is very true I might add! Speaking from lots of experience) Some might laugh and a few will completely miss the entire point.
THIS is LIFE.  You can't take it personally - It is from my own brain. I won't take it personally if your brain does not get it.
But someone will. Storm smirked ;-)  Josh will and that's a start.
All I was hoping for was a smile...

I am thankful for such a great Sunday so far. We are already on our first nap! ;)

September is here!

September is my favorite month.  I love to snuggle in warm clothing, beside someone on a sofa and with Poppy on my lap. This is awesome as she LOVES to snuggle too.
Storm was born the first day of fall! He will be 21 in a few weeks.
Summer is over - time to settle in for the winter. LOL  I get more drawing done.
Time out is needed. I had a very difficult few days, I am not sure why some are worse than others, they are and I must just take one day at a time. I have given up making promises to people as to when I can do something.  Last week there were 2 mornings - before I even was out of bed I knew I was in for a difficult day. A definite sign is being woke up by my twitch.  The only word that keeps coming to mind is exhausted.  My tolerance becomes lower than normal (and trust me it can get pretty low) so I sign 'off'.  Before I comment or say something I might regret. I know it is when I feel my worst physically that I can become my worst mentally. Don't we all?

This brings me to a point I have pondered in great deal.. 3 people made comments this week as to 'my' language. Specifically my use of the 'F' word. As in you can all go 'Fuck' yourself...
First I will say I was never one to swear all the time. I hear myself and think did I just say Fuck again... (sigh).  I don't seem to have the control I did and the word escapes before I even realize what I am saying. I have noticed it is a problem especially since my illness. I have mentioned it to several professionals and have been told it is common with brain injuries  and I clearly have something going on in my brain. I will also say that my speech is effected,  and when I am angry - well trying to find the correct words is difficult enough but not only do I look like I'm having a stroke when I'm mad but  to think of words - well, forget it,  or should I say Fuck it.

"As it turns out, there is a body of research on the neurobiology of swearing, and it largely supports the idea that the brain treats curse words as special. One source of evidence comes from Tourette’s syndrome (TS), a neurological condition characterized by involuntary behavioral tics. In some TS cases, these tics are manifested as involuntary outbursts of cursing or other inappropriate language. Another line of evidence is seen in aphasia, which is a specific loss of language caused by brain damage or dementia. Though people with aphasia may have severely impaired speech, they often produce curse words with greater fluency and regularity than other words. - See more at: http://blog.scienceinsociety.northwestern.edu/2013/02/a-special-place-in-the-brain-for-swearing/#sthash.stAaxZPc.dpuf

But a few comments were said  -"Your better than that." It got me thinking.
IF using the word FUCK make me a worse person,  a word... then that's o.k.,
I will not apologize for something that quite frankly I have like little control over, I feel bad for people with Tourettes.  I too,  am reminded of my dad and his problems with language  before he died of Dementia.  In the beginning you could see him not talking out of frustration and fear of what would come out of his mouth. He often called Storm 'Spot' and knew it was Storm. He'd shake his head and then started to speak less and less.
It was sad. So instead of stopping talking to people, I guess I'll just be more careful on who I think will be judging me. I already hardly leave my home because of my physical appearance. Everything Happens for a reason.

Actions are louder than words so if you choose to judge me on my words...
I am no where near perfect but I am NOT a bad person because I say Fuck from time to time.
http://people.howstuffworks.com/swearing5.htm

I guess it is just another lesson I had to learn, it's o.k.,  I'm good with it.
I know who I am and why I do what I do.  I am very aware of my swearing, it is not something I am thrilled about but if you think I shall become ashamed over it -
Go fuck yourself !!
 - lol - sorry, could not resist.  Really, I have other things to focus on, if you only have my language to focus on then perhaps you need to focus on other things too.

Now back to FALL, snuggling! Tea and cookie! Cleaning my crafting room & getting ready for some serious painting and drawing.

You are the first person to get your kid 'HIGH'

Perfect timing, visiting a friend and she was reading this article, I love it when everything literally falls into place.

This article in national geographic is one of the best at explaining sugar, IMO.
Sugar is considered as dangerous as the tobacco industry and as ruthless.
I personally had no idea sugar was in so much and for years fell into the fat free frenzy.
I believe the best blessings come in disguise - it was not until I became ILL that I started to eat healthier, fresh, organic and now, after I eat this last peanut butter cup- more sugarless!

http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2013/08/sugar/cohen-text?rptregcta=join_free_np&rptregcampaign=20130826_lightbox_membership_nonhp_all_c#close-modal

When Storm was little I was guilty of sugar ignorance. Now addicted, mostly for the foods I Introduced into his life and diet (shitty gatekeeper)  all I can do now is make all our meals healthier, shop for the best ingredients and educate. Storm is great he is the most health conscience of all of us.

NORM, now there is the serious addict.
ASK anyone. We still argue weekly, over his eating habit, he will go an entire day eating only candy - HIS choice. Only last week I said it quite simply - “If at the age of 51 knowing all we know about food, health, etc, - and if he lives in this house - HE DOES, yet he still will choose to consume an entire bag of twizzlers for lunch - Oh well. I have no control over him or his choices. Twizzle away. Make sure the insurance is paid.”

What else can one do? Generations have been brain washed and force fed without even realizing it.

EVEN with what I know I STILL WILL have this peanut butter cup.  I am addicted.
For anyone that might be confused...
I am NOT saying: give your kids cannabis! Sugar is worse!

I am saying Wake up! Pay attention! Research and HELP your children!
I believe there is some serious fear mongering still continuing to go on today - and it is a wonderful distraction- while we continue to put toxins in our children, creating a future generation dependent on medicine. <$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Seriously, before cannabis your child will probably be introduced to these other common Highs and you are not even aware:  Sugar high - Cake, Pop, cookies, cereal
Children’s cough medicines - sugar and chemical high, prescribed medications - more children are on a prescription medication now than ever in history, children as young as 2 have been diagnosed and prescribed antidepressants designed for ADULTS. Alcohol, either from being introduced  for a celebration or kids ‘sneaking’ alcohol is a common practice in many households. Alcohol addiction is one of the worst in the world. Tobacco, as with alcohol is usually first introduced by a family member.

Don’t forget Coffee, energy drinks, glue & solvents...

What example are you setting for your child today?
WE are the original gatekeepers. How are your kids getting high?
Please STOP being distracted by fear mongering. Take control.
