He is 1/2 of the famous couple, a  photographer who is being led around the world by his girlfriend - now wife. The shots stunning - every corner of the world in all it's glory.
Her wardrobe is equally as impressive.

You can't help but  be drawn into each possibility of adventure with them.
Last night my bears took over and asked me to follow them. 
I'm glad I did...  I needed an adventure , if only with my paint for a few hours.
A mental escape down the garden path.  

Where would you go?

What would you do?

Some days are meant to happen, not yet completed this entry this morning - the phone rang and I answered it- lol - all who know me - I don't usually answer my phone...  a woman from a well known publishing company in the USA called me asking about the book I was writing.  "tell me more.." so if I had to:
It's a book about Cannabis education, geared towards children - educating about natural medicine, cannabis in particular. It will touch on all medications, safety & precautions and help dispel the lies and negative stigma attached to cannabis. It comes with a cute, fun, imaginative, simple interactive toy.

That's enough said.
Now, I wonder as I often do- did she call to speak to me- or did she call so I could speak to her. The next thing I know - she is in an illegal state in the USA - she has too much to lose- how sad it that- but is interested as she has been diagnosed with M.S.
​ There you go.
Whom was meant to speak to whom today.
It was a very lovely, interesting - got me a little excited this a.m. conversation!!!

How true...   

I put abundant amounts of love into these bears - I feel it radiating still from my pores today! I left the stars until this morning..  I wanted to wake up and continue the love I felt & carry it over.  It has.  

It might not appear but this was a couple of days of painting.  
6 layers at times.
I have to wait in between layers while  the paint dries. Gouache dries different then when applied.  It's a tricky  technique, instructing me in patience as I persevere.  
Painting on black board also is a bit tricky, numerous  times I think back to my classical animation training- thinking backwards- black first.. patience with cell painting, training for today. 

Love in every stroke.. It occurred to me
'I wonder how many strokes are in these paintings?

As you can see 'He is a little grey- so the cannabis helps his old bear bones.

A FREE printable download!
Cut, Color & Convey your love!  Tell someone or leave it anonymously... let someone  anyone know they are loved or at the very least -  appreciated!

Simply, Print the cards.  *I HIGHLY reccomend gluing the sheet of paper onto a card stock or thin piece of cardboard- the type from a cereal box works best! Recycle! Glue, leave overnight to dry- then COLOR!  I love this part.  Cut down the middle and in-between each card, write a tiny note on the back and deliver!
Either by hand or mail if you glued it to a cardboard stock- no problems!

You never know - one who gets my heart beating faster, last time I checked Christopher Waltz was still married.  Brad is now single though BUT I am quite fond of this rockstar...

Here is a sign of my age.. 
Who remembers Holly Hobbie?
I DO!  I'm pretty sure I had a Holly Hobbie Doll, didn't we all? 

I was reminiscing on PIN, easy to do…  Raggedy Ann, Cabbage patch babies (I still have my original), The Sunshine family- now we can simply see toys of our past- get that ‘warm and fuzzy feeling all over again in a few seconds.

I was looking at of all things, the ‘Doll from Trilogy of Terror, remember him??  Frig that thing terrified me.  lol 
I was thinking of making a clay version for my desk in my office… lol - as long as his necklace does not fall off, Bird should be good. 

Well there she was - Holly Hobbie and BAM it hit me as plain as day.. she needs to become  ‘Holy iHighBe’  hee hee hee. 
It is my tribute art to Holly Hobbie -the Artist - of the same name more so than the doll, her one little image became iconic and loved by many little girls & boys.  She also is famous her her children books.

My little rendition of Holly -  My little Cannabis girl is also loved by millions around the world- the cannabis part anyhow!

She turned out so adorable, I have her framed and in my bedroom.  It makes me smile when I look at her & gives me a flash back of all warm & fuzzy - it’s a win, win.

In all seriousness…

I’m done.  I read an article in Frobes called “I’m Done..”, what  several women remark  “I’m done with..”  I say it often, but never as much as I have this past year and into 2017.
 I HIGHLY recommend the read, especially for young women.
I want to start the year off with my “I’m done..  “ list, as the sooner I am done, the sooner I can get on with 2017.

I am done with apologizing, first  - for letting people I care about, know.
How many  never say how they feel and never get the chance a second time around.
How few ever hear anything nice…   too often they hear the opposite.  I can’t help myself. 

I’m done with thinking anyone on this planet is ‘better’ than I am.
More skilled, talented, wiser, older, richer, poorer, educated, cultured, religious  - none of these makes us better. The only one I try to be better than is myself the day before - somedays are easier than others. 

Which brings me to the next, I’m done. I’m done sitting, watching and not saying a peep- IGNORANCE IS BLISS.  I try to at least get some thinking- even if my words are grammatically incorrect. I DRAW, read and learn.  When we turn a blind eye to Child Abuse (for example), all of society pays. Sooner or later.

I am done with living my life for anyone but myself.  Your opinion of me does not matter.  Have you lived my life?  REALLY,  have I lived yours? Do I really have a clue- about any of you - other than tiny specks I’ve witnessed over the years? No.  The same rule applies. 

I’m done with chasing people and will chase my dreams - when i think of the times -I’ve let - ‘others lives, drama’  & FEAR of their own failures get in the way of me and mine - I ONLY have myself to blame!  I’M done.

I’m done with letting others hurt me - allowing for an excuses -  booze, grief, pain, work, life - who knows…or ME hurting them out of fear and retaliation & PAIN. Yes, I’M done  (I can hear the sigh of some breathing easier) I’m DONE.   If you show any signs - you do not want me in your life, family or friend - I’m done.  

I’m done.
I have Faith in God.  Therefore I have FAITH in myself.
God will put  people in my life who are also deserving of my company, body, mind & heart.

I’m also done with working for free, this includes my HIGHLY creartive ideas & time. Done with terrible service. 
Done with accepting anything less.   I want MORE. 

It took a very serious illness for me to get to this point. I’m done apologizing for it

Frankly, no one is worthy of a nasty blog, we are all in the same boat. 
& I won’t waste my time, thought, energy when there is so much to acquire in this universe.

This year, chances are - I’ll still tell  a few people to ‘Fuck off’ but I will try to be nicer about it - then...  I’ll be done.  lol     

NOW, It’s time to focus on what matters,  for me that is drawing & painting about those who need some assistance or LOVE - because I can.

Ted talks are a favourite pastime while paint dries & as fate had it the first to show was ‘Draw your future’ & I think, 'If I can’t do this, who can?'  lol 
I loved it, of course.  Too close to home’ at one point, like a punch to the gut. Ouch.
I did what she said, only the first night I just went to bed and THOUGHT about it.  Every detail down to the birch trees and fungi… I know all about drawing and feeling better. Forcing my brain to play in the forest with bear and fox under a warm summer moon during a snow blizzard,  I know.

New Years Eve I spent the night 'Drawing my Destiny. I had more fun than expected, I was imagining who, what, when- right down to the Pizza with feta, sun-dried tomatoes & artichoke followed by anything slathered with maple syrup. What I’ll be doing, painting & who will be sharing my company with, besides the blue jays, bear & deer.
In between - I’ll travel - should I feel the desire.
The giant cacti might have given that clue away.

My next home (I know because I’ve drawn it now) will be a place of comfort & peace, laughing, painting, relaxing.. all things enjoyable. Love & dogs!
I've painted in' a guest cottage, far enough away but close enough for dinner company- boats for fun, fire pit for more meals & intimate conversations.
A big beautiful lake, finshing & endless painting..  I have a seperate studio with kiln - it's all off the grid with all the comforts of home, including highspeed internet and a fireplace, books, lots of places to snuggle. My hair greyer & longer lol   My clothing  freeeeee flowing.

I can’t wait!  Try it,  What do you have to lose? 
I won’t show you my ‘Before’,  no need.
It's my business and not up to everyones translation who does not fully understand a situation.  It does work try it- and pay attention to your mood!
The current mood..  Like 2016,  is done.

How Low can they Go? I don’t know… pretty low. 
Changing the rules & laws to suit what ever works best for an already established corrupt Administration. Rise Up.  WE Stay High. 
Cannabis is here to stay.
Getting angry only gets people thrown in jail and gives the “Authority’ reason to shoot your dogs, as any dog lover knows - any loving dog will defend their master & sense the threat - so, many good dogs are going to die I’m afraid in the future, in the USA.  
A Good time for people to think about investing in the dog bite prevention kits, with my illustrations & puppy training - help prevent any event from harming a family member. 

When they Go Low - STAY HIGH. I don’t mean - sofa surfing the latest celebrity gossip on T.V. high. Educate! Yourself or someone on any topic that you are passionate about.  Hopefully, one will be Cannabis awareness. If Cannabis helps you feel better,  stay HIGH but stay active, creative and inspired.  Terrible news all the time can tear down the soul, throw in daily aches and pains, mental & physical, next you’re exhausted and not even enjoying all that you work so hard to accomplish. 
Stay Hi - when it helps you past the PTSD. 
Stay HIGH when dealing with chronic pain & even when dealing with a broken heart.. as many do starting the new year - it’s not healthy - so get HIGH, in  2016 you had a good cry - NOW get busy.  Heal thyself.  

This year... 
Chase your dreams not people, those who are meant to be in our lives will be.

I took steps to become better in 2016 was somewhat successful, when I sit, meditate, think positive thoughts about pleasant experiences & people - I had a smile on my face and everything seemed better… slowly.  I felt better, looked better and twitched less. Fact. 
It was work, I kid you not.  lol  I plan on working at it more this year.

I know what I need to focus on in 2017, more painting.  How about you?

I’m taking a social media break - to paint & ponder on the year to come.  Being the troglodyte that I am, I’ve decided to explore more this year, get some new music, focus less on negative news & more on positive & LOVE - not just for me, everyone needs more love.  Don’t you? 

Since I’m taking a break to paint - those who read my blog have a ‘heads up on my gratitude decision for 2017. Everyday,  I paint a ‘warm up and then work on a bigger piece- sometimes completing it, other times it takes a few days needless to say- I’ve quite to collection of little originals!  What will I do with them all?
GIVE some away.  Share.  Make  someone smile!  Furnish a fan with fabulous fridge art!

I’ve wrapped and labeled my art ready to be shared with a select few. How do you get one??!
I don’t know..  we’ll figure that out as 2017 goes along.

Snow Storm today here in Ontario- good day to paint. 
Tragic all the talent the world lost in 2016. 

Be....       
Sometimes I am not so nobel. Yesterday, I lost it.
For weeks I've been fighting with Norm, the furnace would lock at 64 during the days- 66, and I could not get it to turn up.  I feel the cold.. so, I stay in my office with the heater or go to bed to stay warm.. unbelievable.  You know how you walk over to the fridge & keep opening it - expecting something delicious to magically appear inside - that's how I felt looking at that thermostat, longing for 70 & a warm nose.   At about 4:30 yesterday... I walked over to the thermstat- (which he claims is working fine)  I see its 64, and I instantly reached up and ripped it off the wall and smashed it to the ground.  In hindsight I'm suprized I didnt thow it on the ground and do the Mexican hat dance on the f*cking piece of crap.  It was done before I even realized what I had done.   I walked away and went to paint.
I lost it.  Control.  
Norm came home, was pissed - so what, and replaced the thermostat- with one he had in the garage (he designed them when we met- so I'm sure he has a couple) and the furnace now works fine  & all it did was piss me off more.
Weeks of fighting, what else is new..  ignored until I would not be ignored anymore.
Pushed until I exploded - then seen as the 'bitch', again.          Fine by me. 

I'm warm but its colder around here still.

It had me thinking... how we snap.
How  people are capable of snapping and hurting each other- if Norm had been standing in front of me  my frustration (& I admit - it is MY frustation) would hve smacked him across the face... with the thermostat.  In my mind anyhow.  
Yes, that makes me a monster for even admitting it - what made me this way?  
I do not like feeling like this..  I'm human.  Cold and frustrated - I had a mini meltdown.
It's not the thermostat - its constantly being ignored and dismissed. 
My bad. I will correct. 
Smash it to fix it?  
Light bulb moment.

Seriously though... had he fixed it when I asked him weeks ago-  it would not have excalated to what it did, it literally took him 15 minutes to fix.  

I remind myself to be patient, God is looking after me and it will all go, as it should.
I remind myself to be humble.. I'm made of earth, I make mistakes - all the time. I get tired.
I have a temper, we all do and like you- when pushed you will probably see it.  
I am working on it, truly, all the time. Can you say the same?
I want to be better than no one except the person I was yesterday.
I remind myself to be nobel- God created me to create- not to stress over thermostats...
to rise above & keep moving forward.

It's time to paint..  a project that will take a few days. 
Time to withdraw & draw.

Christmas is as good a time as any to educate on Cannabis, young & old.
Firstly,  IF you still believe Cannabis hurts children, please educate yourself on the facts about Christmas trees, more children have died during the holidays due to Christmas tree fires than I ever wanted to know.  Entire famalies perish because of a holiday tradition. Leave the tree outside, alive.  I share with you now, only as a reminder !IF you have a real tree please take all precautions. Children who have died from cannabis = 0
Secondly, for all those that celebrate the birth of Jesus! Amen..   canabis is said to be an ingredient in the holy anointing oil used by Christ. Research it! You will become enlightened.  
Most important, again for all those who claim to belive in Jesus but not cannabis..
Ask yourself one thing:    W.W.J.D.?  
What would Jesus Do?  
Would he jail his brothers and sisters over a plant???
Never.

Set minds & each other free. this holiday!
Isn't that what the holiday is about  -  Celebration & LOVE?
Tell that to those in jail over a plant.. and their famalies this holiday.
PLEASE take time to remember those in jail this holiday season, extra cards and letters. 
Remember the reason for the season.
To celebrate the birth of a  wonderful man who raised other men UP!!!

Merry Christmas!  

Plant the seed of cannais education this holiday!

Note btw- if you did not see the Pot POW WOW special on VICE with Ultra Health & the Piaiute tribe it will be re-airing tonight on Vice.  I think it's an idea that will help many and I'd like to see the same idea implemented in Canada with our indigenous people.

                               Surround Yourself with those that Raise You HIGHer!!

In real life &  online surround yourself with those that raise you up!  Who inspires you to think,  create,  who makes you laugh?  Who puts a SMILE on your face?  
We can't always be laughing but there are some people who make us feel at ease & those who do not.  I know a few... just thinking of them - tightens my neck muscles.. lol - others- loosen them right up.
I can 'see' an e amil from a friend & instantly there will be a SMILE on my face before I even open it,  that is an example of who you 'surround' yourself with.  
Who does that for you?   'What does' that for you counts as well!
  
I am surrounded by love, mostly with 4 legs - but it counts-  they make me laugh, snuggle on these cold grey days and show me  continous unconditional love & I can not forget the occassonal flutter fly by love tap.   Pets are wonderful reminders of livinging in the moment.

Cannabis raises me up as well, it lifts my spirits & eases my pain,  my sons and millions more.  I surround myself with it.  
I smoke it, eat it, drink it, draw & paint about it. 
Many of my friends are involved with it. 
Our path was made long before we decided to walk it.
I thank God - the Universe & my grower for it.   

Give thanks  & surround yourself with those that raise you HIGHer!

another 'grey day' here in Ontario.. good day to paint!

My friend Jerry Kelly shared he had to have some dental work done - ouch.. Jerry made my Laughing Buddha in glass and I could not resist drawing this one with only 'three teeth' just to tease! lol   I bet Jerry used Cannabis to help with his pain - now that he can, legally!
Woo woo USA.  The more that I think of it,  anything you hear 'negative' in the USA regarding cannabis will be fearmongering! There is no way Cannabis is turning back now.  Thankfully.  No more people in prison over a plant. 
More and more educated on the healing powers of this plant!
Let's not forget, reactional (are you attending the next Cannabis cup? I was thinking about it  I'm curious how it differs from Canadian attitudes at the moment)  use will increase & hopefully, the more deadly opiate/alcohol consuption will decrease.  Give thanks!  
Be Laughing Buddha!  Focus on the Positive! 

One day.. I will have a Laughing Buddha pipe to smoke my medicine out of... (she types yearning)  are you reading this Jer?  lol!  I love to "bug" Jerry, especially regarding our NEW project - I am terribly excited, I love Kermit!!... & Mr.s Piggy.   Heee Heee!!  I send him messages with tiny photos of it to remind him, as 'if' he has forgotten.
I believe I drew the ultimate tribute to them >:)     hee hee hee.  Wait & see!  
When Jerry creates this image in  glass - as he did  with my Laughing Buddha,  I know it's going to be EXTRAORDINARY!
It is Jerrys focus, life, livelyhood & most of all it is his passion. 

Laughing Buddha wants to be PASSIONATE & peaceful!   Highly attainable.
That heart is just starting to burst.

Kiss me under a thousand stars..    
I was listening to the song and suddenly these bears appeared.  
I'm not sure where they are coming from, I'm not overly fond of bears...  at least I don't think I am.  
I know, I really dispise seeing them shot.  

They look terrific on a dark background. I love to paint fur.. and when I think Canada- I think 'bear' over.. elephant or lion. These bears are all about Love.  It's that simple.  
 Just happy to be together.  ​Looking, waiting, longing.

I added Bud because it was late when I was painting, my hand sore but I just  'filled' a BIG blunt- 'Palm papers' I tried (pre -rolled so you just fill it) Storm does not like the smell, I'm not overly keen other than the ease.  BUT I smoked it*, put on my headphones - turned up the tunes..  I felt great and just kept painting until I became too tired. Not too sore.  
What do you do about arthritis?
I do take an anti inflamatory - when 'I feel' I need it.  
Cannabis also helps I believe with assisting the 'mental ability', which keeps us from focusing on our pain but instead allows us to keep focused on passion.  All kinds ;) 
I'snt that what a medicine should do?  Isn't that what love does?

Focus on your passion & it will surly bloom! 

* I do smoke my bong in my office with Bird- and he does not seem to mind, as a matter of fact- I think he enjoys it, he likes to fly around in the evening - little show off that he is! & sings more.   BUT I do NOT smoke a full blunt in the same room - I leave.  I dont want to hotbox bird ;) 
It's nice to think of others...  no?
