 My Birthday was last Monday. 'Just another day'... I said to Storm.
Storm and I visited the ROM, my gift from him (a fantastic day) but I didn't want to celebrate my birthday other than that for several reasons. My age was not one of them, I'm 53 and 'amazed' to be here - lol. My bodies looking good - I've been focusing on peace, I feel as though I'm getting stronger, mind & body EVERY DAY! I was surprised by 2 - on the actual day. First 'Chuck, I've mentioned him before- my American pal- he is the one responsible for me TRYING to figure out why anyone would vote for Don - he sent me an e mail - 'for my sexy Canadian friend...'- he never fails to flirt my pal Chuck, :) - I swear- it's 10 years - we have been e mailing back and forth. It was really nice to get.\ the simple message from.. a stranger I've never met yet- never forgets. Next 'Dawn sent me a comment here... I met Dawn at the first EXPO- she came with her hubby and all her dogs! I think she had 9 pets that she travelled with from B.C.! I liked her, a woman after my own heart with her animal appreciation, I liked her husband too- quite & gentle comes to mind when I think of him. How did she remember and how lovely she took the time. - it thew me.. I became emotional reading her message. Thank you Universe & Dawn for the message. No celebrating, no gifts and on my birthday that is what happened - until Tim Hortons decided to give me a free coffee. lol Yeeeee!!! Storm left for Spain the next day- it was e a quite birthday week. .. I missed him the moment he left. That too was a gift from the Universe - my son away on an adventure with friends does a mom's heart good! I am beyond thrilled for him, as always. The next day a friend showed up for a business meeting (**I am helping with a new product that will change the world for Dogs! REALLY!! I'm beyond excited-but I've signed a legal disclosure - I am NOT allowed to speak of it until hits the market!!) and she brought me a mug' with a logo I designed on it a few years back! Gift 2 from Rachael & the universe... even though I was determined NOT to tell anyone. Next, I visited Kat- who's gallery has sold!! A friend of 30 years.. is moving to Montreal to be with her love. She will still do my framing she has assured me! I spied a 'Silver Bird while there, Kat insisted on it being a gift & is framing my favourite bears- for me! I told her 'after' it was my birthday week' lol & YOU can all thank Kat - as she gives me my matts to paint on & a gift of matts was waiting too! I came home to hear a message on my machine from a friend: "Georgia, watch your mail box- I've sent you a small gift"... there is NO way in hell he knew it's my birthday week. I received a postcard in the mail form a woman 1/2 across the globe thanking me for my inspiration! & the Sugru- I ordered came in the mail!! Yeee- lol I already Sugru'd Storms apt while away! hahahaha It was a week full of tiny gifts that made me feel huge. or 'Yuge'... lol (poor Don- he is a cartoonist dream) Thank you for your little gifts that have my heart & mind looking past all those I wouldn't be hearing from & reminding me to listen to all who do want to wish me a Happy birthday, Happy Day and Happy Life. Time to paint... That little fox was a fun afterthought' .. something was just missing. I stayed up till 3a.m. painting then remembered I had a meeting this morning to discuss a new product I'm working on with someone.. I heard a strange noise on my radio - an amber alert for a little girl, from what I gather someone stole a car and the child was in the back seat- a 4 year old little girl- how terrifying, my heart sank. The WONDERFUL news was she was discovered unharmed!!! Really, the best news of the day. Next, I had a meeting- I've signed a confidentiality disclosure, this product will change the world for the better for pets. Tis true!!! Enough said - and I had some CRAZY CREATIVE FUN!! YEEE!!! My enthusiasm also evident in my work. I predict you will see it on a shelf in every quality pet store sooner than we realize! :) After my meeting I read my mail to find out Mark & Jodie Emery have been arrested at the airport on the way to Spannabis - several charges. I don’t have FB! (I actually logged on for a second but thought - do I need this and got OFF) I know only what I read on the CBC & comments:http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/marc-and-jodie-emery-court-1.4019001 I blogged about this months back, who did not see this coming? Clearly Mark & Jodie on the way to Spain. *stuck here in Canada in a blizzard with the rest of us. Mark ore or less openly said ‘Look at me! - I’m selling cannabis- even though I KNOW it’s not ‘legal’ yet. Come get me’… and they did. For this he has even received ‘criticism from some in the community who have & and are trying to play by the rules. I don’t know how else to put it. I hope it’s not true, Mark could be deported back to the U.S., I din’t think they could do it the first time. As for Jodie, I pray she does not have to go to jail! I don’t think she would do well in jail. I really cannot see her going to jail. Either of them with legalization around the corner. Literally. What were they thinking, do they need this kind of stress - that being said.. Do I need the stress? I cannot remember the last time Norm and I got ‘along. All we do and have done for years is argue. The toll it is physically taking on my body now is enough, every argument’ I see patches of psoriasis appear, little red dots at first they easily get out of control. Every argument also triggers my ‘twitch’ and raises it on a scale of 1 to 10 to a 17… yet, they continue to happen. I am searching currently online but can’t find anything.. so far ‘Moncton looks affordable’, lol - (not kidding), which is fine as I have no ties here, love the water and would LOVE to live near a beach or at least get to one every now and then. I LOVE SEA glass and cactus (yes, I realize I’m stretching on the cactus - I just do). For me and my girls and son should he choose to visit, he too has been thinking of leaving the nest. :) As soon as I find a new home to call my own, I start a new chapter. Amen. That being said my mind is thinking WTF? Between the USA last week and now this, Mark & Jodie must appear in court ‘April-21’ (missed it by a day… 4/20).-. Perhaps a judge will ‘toss it’… or not. Trying to come up with a cartoon. Had they waited they would have still cornered the market. They will get attention, The added stress won't be good. I’m sure they discussed the possibilities of being arrested, they will have top lawyers no doubts. I know the community will rally for them on 4/21. My son is at Spannabis, he was invited to go with friends, last minute. He tells me ‘it’s hot and he’s happy to be enjoying ‘Sangria & Tapas! I am thrilled for him. Celebrate woman's day? I couldn't. WTF do we (women) have to celebrate when bullshit like this is permitted to happen!?? OVER AND OVER AGAIN. We should've celebrated it by throwing Al Rawi in jail. He was literally caught with his pants down by police. A young woman passed out drunk in the back seat, he also had her underwear, she was raped. A Halifax a judge ruled he's not guilty... so I guess I shouldn't draw this- F*CK THAT!! Today, I read he's been investigated before under a different name & if I had to GUESS -I'd bet it's not the only victims. Drunk, ashamed - not wanting to report this low life scum. Raped-for getting drunk? That appears to be the only 'Crime'. For having a few too many. This could be your sister, mom, wife, daughter, grand daughter, all she wanted was a SAFE RIDE home. Which they PAID for, BIG TIME!! Partying, bars, drinking- ALL NORMAL stuff MILLIONS do- thank GOD I did not get this parasite or someone like him to safely take me home in one of the many taxi rides I took. Do you really think this problem only happens in Halifax? I highly doubt it. What can we as women do? Tell me, I'll share! How about as friends- take a photo of the taxi driver when your drunk friend gets in the cab and tell them, 'you know how long it takes for them' to get home and will be checking with their roommate - EVEN if this is not true- you have planted the seed. Ladies- take a photo of him yourself before you get into the cab and SEND it to a friend. Set this up before hand so perhaps get a system can get in place. 'No judgement 'call a cab' agreement. ;) CAB/Taxi companies- investigate! WE are not paying you to be raped. He took advantage of the condition the women were in. "Clearly". I wonder if the judge was drunk- to the point he clearly where he pee'd his pants and was passed out - if someone say- robbed him - "Clearly, Drunks can consent..." right? The judge stated & has opened pandoras box, if you ask me. The case has been appealed. Go figure. A petition to have the judge removed has been started. Go figure. Chances are you have seen the photos of Murad Osmann on Instagram. He is 1/2 of the famous couple, a photographer who is being led around the world by his girlfriend - now wife. The shots stunning - every corner of the world in all it's glory. Her wardrobe is equally as impressive. You can't help but be drawn into each possibility of adventure with them. Last night my bears took over and asked me to follow them. I'm glad I did... I needed an adventure , if only with my paint for a few hours. A mental escape down the garden path. Where would you go? Or does anyone else think this is what Cannabis is like the the USA today? Ripped apart by state lines and blurred rules have Americans confused and pissed off - it appears. I get it. I was reading some comments on instagram feeds, it’s a way to become educated like any… on human emotions, a way to see both sides. Cannabis Events are being held all over the US, depending on state to state - looms threats of being busted by the FEDs. Dea.. frig- I can't keep up.. I learned one 'gentleman' was concerned as he was coming from another state- and “even tho he is a 'card holder” if he was carrying medicine/cannabis & “busted he'd lose his fucking job..” not worth the drive. From one state to another - How confusing. Threats of busting cannabis events are being made, fear mongering at it’s finest. Is this what you voted for America? Medical & Recreational- No one should do jail time over a plant. How can Americans 'feel free'. Irony, it has me thinking ‘they are being treated like immigrants in their own country… Don’t cross that border/state line. No? It is heart breaking to witness, just another way to get people fighting amongst each other. I guess they do have to be concerned at the same time, just like Treating Yourself was the first medical cannabis EXPO in the City of Toronto- (with all sorts of cannabis including edibles etc) did anyone die - no, any violence- in the middle of a major city - No. These events have to be held. Have to be seen as NORMAL or Cannabis will always be always treated as ILLEGAL. Alcoholic events are held CONSTANTLY - think about that for one moment. Drunk driving, fighting.. and more, facts. All legal events. Cheers. Instead of “supporting each other” & directing anger where it belongs - blame is placed on the event holders, just like our last few events in Toronto were told they could not have any cannabis. Double standards have to end, especially when Alcohol is proven to be more harmful than recreational cannabis consumption. I was upset attending the last event - of course - you go, expect the same experience you had previously - and it’s different. It’s not the venders fault or the event holder. We should support them, and thank them for continually educating the masses for us. Good & bad. Thank Trump for the current cannabis positions… Thank yourself, if you voted for him. Instantly my mind started to come up with a reason - tomorrow might not be good... NO. GO. I am thrilled we did. & at times- as you will see from the photos- I wisecracked- Did you rent the place out privately for me?’ It was perfect! 'Once' we were surrounded with kids - and the other times- we hardly noticed them and many occasions we had entire exhibits alone- it was a flawless day filled with laughter, interest & more Thanks to my son for the ROM FUN - I have been wanting to go for a long time. I can’t believe we walked it all and took our time; I loved every step, gem, statue, pot, picture, animal, staircase, wall, corner… mostly I loved the day out with my son. A few images below. "tell me more.." so if I had to: It's a book about Cannabis education, geared towards children - educating about natural medicine, cannabis in particular. It will touch on all medications, safety & precautions and help dispel the lies and negative stigma attached to cannabis. It comes with a cute, fun, imaginative, simple interactive toy. That's enough said. Now, I wonder as I often do- did she call to speak to me- or did she call so I could speak to her. The next thing I know - she is in an illegal state in the USA - she has too much to lose- how sad it that- but is interested as she has been diagnosed with M.S. There you go. Whom was meant to speak to whom today. It was a very lovely, interesting - got me a little excited this a.m. conversation!!! Time to PAINT! Up Up! How will you spend this day? I make cards all the time & sometimes I send them. It helps me express what I'm feeling & thinking and gets it OUT of my head/system- so I can focus on other issues. Much as confirmed - you write you feelings in a letter and don't send it or burn it. Fuck that! lol - I'm NOT burning these cards. They are drawn with LOVE, even the little scratches. My cards ARE my most truthful & intimate feelings. This one above... I wish it was drawn with a 'funny feeling heart. I was feeling a bit blue thinking about life - and there it was, a cute little card appeared. Draw what you feel. Storm suggested I draw next: him (the paper) crumpled with a phone number on it lying in the gutter! lol Anyhow, Drawing them helps.. I have a drawer of cards unsent - all stamped. If I could kiss you and heal you I would. Read More: Third eye center is situated between the eyebrows. It is generally dormant spiritual center but it’s activation gives you insight , intuition and connection to your higher centers. If you genuinely love someone and care for , Third eye kiss can be a great uplifting experience for both of you. Kiss the center of the forehead between eyebrows but slightly up a little bit with a thought of compassion and genuine love for that person. It activates the pineal and pituitary glands of that person which lie underneath in this area . It will bring a sense of security and well being to the person. You have to try it with your friends and family members you love and care for. Healing power that it brings is immense. It’s really a divine touch. It has been mentioned in many ancient scriptures, but you don’t have to take their word for it. Do it when you find an opportunity . The more you do it, the more you will see results. Try and find out! Sometimes when I'm painting, Storm visits me in my office - he will say 'hi, check out my work and kiss me on the head before he leaves ;) How fortunate am I. I can't always physically kiss people- obviously, but it does not stop me from thinking about them, sending them love... and praying (truly) they feel better, blessed & loved. On my Mind.. Justin Trudeau.. should've challenged Trump to a boxing match for fun. hmmm. I'll leave it to you to decide who you think would win. Mr.Trudeau was criticized on the weekend for appealing to the rich regarding the 'angry middle class.. at a gala attended by the rich. Irony it was said. Stop and think for one second here. HOW many galas thrown by the rich, attended BY the rich, NEVER bring up the plights of the angry middle class let alone any other issue other than the $250 caviar appetizers. Political Media Drama :( We see how it divides America. Why not show some support instead of continuing to divide. I was speaking to a friend recently who went the extra mile.. he had his garden upscaled and then called the mayor of his town, he did all this for insurance reasons* -apparently they came, including the fire dept- he had to make a few changes (small things- still costly$$$) etc. It passes inspection with flying colors! Raves from all around he tells me only to find Health Canada of course did not approve him the first time in 11 years. & tells him to shut it down. With a suggestion of 3 places (only 3?) he could get his meds now. Guess who the 3 were. He tells me the media won't touch it. Hmmm food for thought, for all considering doing the RIGHT thing. Irony. I know people now who have their medications COVERED by the company insurance! Do not be told otherwise. If they cover medication - THEY COVER ALL Medication legally bought and paid for. I put abundant amounts of love into these bears - I feel it radiating still from my pores today! I left the stars until this morning.. I wanted to wake up and continue the love I felt & carry it over. It has. It might not appear but this was a couple of days of painting. 6 layers at times. I have to wait in between layers while the paint dries. Gouache dries different then when applied. It's a tricky technique, instructing me in patience as I persevere. Painting on black board also is a bit tricky, numerous times I think back to my classical animation training- thinking backwards- black first.. patience with cell painting, training for today. Love in every stroke.. It occurred to me 'I wonder how many strokes are in these paintings? lol Too many to count. Perfect. In the Garden of Love & Medicine - also why they smile. As you can see 'He is a little grey- so the cannabis helps his old bear bones. Hee hee hee. Have a creative day! Paint yourself some love!! Have Faith xox <><  Lift off! How I feel every morning with my first bong hit & pray it works as fast as can be. I have been smoking/consuming what's called 'Grape Escape' and I feel outstanding.. out of this world. This little bud is just the explorer' - the 'mars rover' of buds for a different painting. I wondered how to put him in space suit, wonder no more. Is this cannabis causing me to think about aliens- no, it's the program - Ancient Aliens, I find it rather fascinating and do believe, simply because of all the unexplained technology/art/culture/architecture from the past. Tasks accomplished THEN we still can not accomplish today without advanced machinery. Alone in Universe, I don't think so. I believe as with all medications from time to time our bodies need a jolt- a switch up from from our regular routine. How wonderful we are able to accomplish this with the switch of a plant strain- unlike medications that take literally months - just to get off of- in order to try another. I am loving this switch up. Painting till 2a.m. most night back a it a 6/7 a.m. yes, I nap in the afternoon- I prefer to say recharge- and sometimes I don't nap - I think of ideas to paint. I am grateful from my daily grape escapes. Dream of other worlds! Let your imagination explore! You might come up with a little bud in a space suit - you might come up with a new cookie recipe! Every now and then I see 'my art' on someone else's social media page with no credit to me. Taking compliments for my work- instead of redirecting people- "Check out Georgiatoons @ whatever..." I have even seen people go so far as remove my name and enter in their own. I very recently, saw one of my ideas almost re-drawn detail for detail with a few minor changes, the 'artist' took no credit (I guess not)- but 'the company' did for it's 'originality'. At first I was in shock... slowly I felt a 'smile materialize across my face- like the Grinch, a pathetic attempt to steal my idea - without the talent - please. I am owning it. I DID create it. Did it get more 'likes' than mine? Yes. lol - more people. That's how it works. It won't make me give up. All it does is show me who is paying attention & trying to make attempts at being - ME. Am I wrong? I am the only 'Georgia Toons. Talent. Yes. I work hard. I paint EVERY day, all day- It is a skill like any other. Go ahead, try. You can't steal my creativity or talent. It is stealing and it means: YOU LACK imagination & morals. simply, you are a thief like every other petty thief, taking what does not belong to you. ***Print my artwork and sell my card ideas without my permission - Thief. Re draw my idea with a few tweaks": Thief. Re-use my work and take credit: Thief and someone will let me know sooner or later. Take any work off this website without my permission to use.. thief. It has me wondering about instagram - again to share or not to share. My goal is to educate, hopefully make people smile & think. It won't happen if I do not share. I am in the process of working on a couple projects, out in time for next year. I finally feel- 'strong enough to focus on a few of these projects. Guaranteed to make every cannabis enthusiast smile. Never before seen ART. I paint all day - every day, you don't see 1/2. I'm getting better every day, ideas and painting- while thieves surf on line and seal others ideas.
