Winter is coming & inspiration has me painting purple Octopus plucking petals. 
This 'doing what ever' it takes is working.  I meditate, listen to music & paint.
I also eat better, refrain from alcohol & only smoke cannabis.
I have made attempts in my immediate surroundings  to be 'love' inspired
(Purple elephants), cleaning my office and painting  every day, all day... it's my thing.  It's what makes me want to sing- Surrounding myself with positive friends here and there... near & far & I am smiling more.  I won't add 'twitching less' but it seems to be less - painful. lol  Truly,  I don't know how else to put it.  That & cannabis keeps me smiling- Thank God! It's working.  

Here is what I am noticing: new cannabis cartoons and ideas again starting to fill the air in my mind & office.  I can't put it into words- as it would give away the cartoon on my desk for tomorrow.  It's for all the dispensaries who have been shut down - in "our best interest." Bullshit. 

An animal drawing recently was "liked" - I don't normal check them out as I don't have time- and don't want to start which would = less drawing, -  sure enough late last night, in bed I check out a cartoon and one of my 'likes' is from this 'beautiful, huntress'.  
She 'likes' this image about saving our wildlife - as she sits with a fucking bear she killed while she visited Canada and  "can't wait to get back."  wow. 
I was so pissed off last night all I could see was a beautiful, selfish MURDERER.  
Today, I woke up.. new day - she is still these things in my opinion. We are losing animals at an alarming rate on this planet 2/3 of wildlife will disappear by 2020 - so thank you beautiful, spoiled rotten,  murderer for helping this along faster.
WHY!? Because you eat it all - bullshit.  
You need it to survive?  To keep you warm? You LOVE animals? 
Yes, like an alcoholic husband beats the wife 'he loves'.  
I no longer see 'beauty' anymore.  
I see a beautiful 'shell', and I feel nothing but pity for this 'pretty', young, life snuffing princess.. she has many years ahead- to think about her own actions.  
Check out this specimen of a human- HUNTING?!! They bait the bear with food/he comes here to eat obviously, hide (like the cowards they are) - and use a spear -  torture- phhhhbt.  He is a poor example of a good 'man' in my opinion. I am so happy they dumped them & more will continue to do so. 
Surrounded by love? I think these hunters will only attract so much hatred into their lives from so many,  who might attempt to harm/hunt them- which I'm reading about. 
Just like I want to harm a stranger who I see torturing a dog in a dog eating festival in China.  I do.   Can we not 'BAN' these hunters from other countries?

Tell me the world is NOT watching this.  I can't believe what I am seeing with the North Dakota pipeline Violence.  History repeating itself... the ones with the bigger guns wins.
Or bullies moving in and taking whatever the fuck they want.

I don't understand why all AMERICANS, not just Indians are not ALL Standing with Standing Rock!?  Look at the devastation already with PIPELINE leaks all over the world already destroying  our water, wildlife and US!  Wake the fuck up. 

They are fighting for ALL of our clean drinking water.  Pipeline accidents happen and the results devastating,  the damage in most to all cases can never be properly cleaned/contained.  But this is not just the blockade.. it's the violence on peaceful protestors.  Rubber bullets -  God forgive them.  I had no idea the damage they did, so they don't kill- big deal! IT IS inhumane  treatment of others!  This pepper spray shit, Jeeze I can't help but want to see those spraying - sprayed...  and this is what happens.. anger is fuelled by both sides. In my case Anger against the American government who would let this happen. 
If you research treatment of American Indians in History- we don't need to - is anyone still oblivious to this past disgrace? Here it is repeating itself LIVE for the world to watch this time, and it does not look good America on you. It happens all the time, Native Americans in America are incarcerated/shot   on average more than most.. after the well known statistics of African American Abuse, that is.

Is there any better way to spend a day then to stare at a deer (preferably living), bear or cute squirrel, nature at it's finest! Give thanks to the many talented photographers who  share magnificent images of snails with raindrops. No words.
To study & stare into the eyes  of the animals is heart melting  for moi.

IF our government was truly worried about our children they would have tougher laws on trampolines - not cannabis.

Unfortunately, I see & hear trampolines-  daily- it often ends in tears - in the surrounding backyards.  I don't know what to do, commonly - I see a trampoline with 7 kids on it at a time including a toddler and then water sprinkler added to the mix- it is an accident or worse waiting to happen.. do you say anything if you see this?  No,  if I did I'd be a nasty meddling neighbour.  It blows my mind that parents go along with this... perhaps some do not know,  many trampoline accidents happen at other children's homes.  
Very often I witness kids on them with NO adult supervision.  It makes me shake my head... but that's because I have researched.  I am sure a parent does not intentionally want to hurt their kids - you can just as easily if you don't research EVERYthing.

Sadly, not all of what we learn is good news... during my idea for this cartoon -let's dispel 'once and for all 'cartoon- at least in my mind-  I learned of another button killing kids.
Lithium buttons and it's a terrible way to die.
If not the choking then what the battery can do to a child's inside is horrifying. Watch the simple video that shows us. I did not occur to me.  I Imagine part of the problem is a little one not being able to vocalize they had swallowed a battery.
So much so Health Canada did have a warning about them and possible death, still they are everywhere. Did you know? Please be honest.

I would like to point out and ask all of you to think about:
How much has the Current Canadian government (OR any for that matter) spent on Educating  the public about Lithium batteries and deadly consequences with children ***Especially -compared to what they have in fact spent smearing medical Cannabis?
Hmmmmmm?  If I had to guess I would say TOO MUCH on one and
       NOT enough on the one that matters!
"Worried about the children" ...please, it's just another excuse they use for their own benefit to manipulate us until they can use something for theirs best interest $$$.

When I started to draw about buttons- the kind we wear and are everywhere- I had no idea about batteries, what they did and HOW common it is.
Battery buttons will never be banned or the other kind.  It is ALL about EDUCATION.

Spending money and resources on educating our young should be our priority - always.

No fucking way! 
Good Afternoon! Woot Woot!  Let's get crackin!
I just finished my first toon of the day, about to go and start a new pallet sign and then lunch, then more drawing! A new Bear toon that I can't wait to start!
Is this the same mood my day started. NO.
It started at 6, when the twitch alarm clock clicked in.  The pain not long after.
I lay there thinking, tears welling up...  again.

I remembered NOW. 
Now, I am still here, I have been given another day to enjoy. In joy.
I know what it is , I've had it for a while, I know how it feels, it terrifies me several times a day - but only for a few seconds, that is not to say the pain is not there all the time. It is.
Today as I felt the first tear roll down my cheek- Poppy stirred and shook her head, when she does it makes this neat ear flapping noise, a little kiss good morning... I am loved.
Get up.  ENJOY! 
Be - feel the cool air, see the beautiful leaves, hear the rustling of Daisy as she forever patrols the lot for squirrels. 

Am I depressed. YES. 
Forever? NO.  Short periods and occasionally - yes, I do go back to bed, but less and less with each passing day!  I'll work to keep it that way,  by doing STUFF! 
 
Some might get upset by this cartoon - some who feel antidepressants are helping them.  I am speaking from 1st hand experience. I did it for decades.  I research antidepressants now and  the only conclusion I continually come to is: DONT!!!  
 I was in shock to read one antidepressant in particular was 
pulled by the FDA (of course  or should I say - probably RE-designed and re-packaged out to the public* NEW patents and name changes happen ALL the time) because it was responsible for putting ON anywhere from 20 to 1oo lbs!!!  100 lbs!?  
Now, think.. more women are on antidepressants, more than men. Women already suffering with poor self images as we are aware - a huge problem in our society -  add those pound and it is a recipe for DEPRESSION!  I KNOW! 

What do I suggest?  Guess.
Keeping BUSY!  Busy hands - less time for the mind to wallow/plot. ;) 
&
Cannabis. 
I feel more importantly - in my case Cannabis is helping me DEAL with all that I have presented to me.  
RESEARCH! What have you got to lose?

I watched a documentary called  A Place at the table. What a rude awakening, on several topics.  Obesity, Starving children's brains, & the ridiculous amount some have to go to just to give their children a healthy meal! It is an American Documentary but if you think it is not starting to happen here think again and take a good look at your surroundings. 
It inspired me to plant our garden, I planted extra for friends, neighbors and the food bank - if we am blessed with  good crop.
It was a great day to be in the garden with my girls!  I felt wonderful,  I even baked a apple berry pie! Woot! Woot! 

BTW, I use fresh fruit- apples, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries! About 1/2 cup organic sugar/brown. THAT's all. Stir & place in homemade pie crust ;) 
Bake at 350 for 40 mins.
Not too much sugar and 'these two' never complain!

I watched an interesting show abut robots and how amazing they are,  Amazon has Amazon Drones & wants to have them leave the plant and deliver right to your door!  In a mini helicopter, I think it would be a good idea  but it seems they are having difficulty with rules  & air space so who knows. They also said in 5-10 years most minor surgeries will be preformed by robots, stating less pain and quicker heal and out of hospital time. 
It makes me shake my head - how can this be? 
WE are NOT machines. 
O.k., I KNOW it is complicated  but still, of course the vision popped into my head right away for the toon above.  The way Health Canada is going - mess ups. changing minds, changing rules, hurting sick people. 
Legitimate patients in Canada being forced to stress over becoming criminals in a matter of months, because of pencil pushers that DO NOT CARE and only have  $$$ the mind.

My latest treatment in the medical field also has really had an impact in my faith. 
Let's hope I won't need anymore surgery in the future.  
I am more upset by the impact the pharmaceutical industry has on Dr.s and our health than anything else. They have had far too much power that effects ALL our health and our planet. Stories of Dr.s bought off with holidays and perks from  DRUG dealers, more or less, FDA NOT approved drugs. AND killers being let loose  before proper studies have ben done. That is exactly what some pills are. Killers.

I am starting to have issues with ‘anger/frustration’ when I read about the number of people dying from prescribed medications and still constantly read about or hear of Dr.s that won’t even consider cannabis for patients. WTF?

I read an article where parents were ‘not as concerned when their child was caught with a prescription drug - over being caught with cannabis',   thinking - ASSuming  it must be safer - it’s prescribed by a Dr.

The saddest thing about all of this is many find out far too late into he game  exactly how bad prescriptions drugs can be, either by dealing with a side effect that is worse that the initial diagnoses or even worse when they are putting a loved one in the ground and then RESEARCH the medication they were on..

I LOVE water, I love to live by it, I am a pisces, I love to swim, snorkel and DRINK.  
I mostly drink water. I have difficulty when I drink tap water - If I can smell it or taste it, and at time there’s a bit of both going on. Right now the smell. Admit-tingly, (<Is that a word?)I have difficulties ‘sharing’ water or bottled anything. SO, this one hit home in too many ways.

The thought of drinking recycled sewage water and calling it ‘porcelain springs’ - really - I’m done. Gag reflex kicks in.  I can’t imagine being that thirsty. I have a britta and yes USE to drink bottled water. As of NOW, I am going to try to never ‘purchase’ another bottle of water again, just the concept has sweat on my brow;-)  

I was saddened to learn what water hogs we are. America is the worst. Compared to other places and we are NOT stupid! WE know how bad some places have it but did you know there are green houses in Africa that grow roses to EXPORT - the roses get better water than the people that live in that country! And Coke is cheaper than water! ? That is shameful. Keeping the sick down. What can I do? All I can think Is I will NEVER drink or buy another coke and will try VERY hard to always recycle my bottles and get tap water - while we can. It’s a start and before you knock me - what will you do? 

AT the very least I will share these facts from time to time.. just to get people thinking and I will never BUY roses again. That being said I give thanks for all our water - not something concerning many when they see Calgary ;( The documentary explains it really well (punn intended) why we need to take better care. 

One thing AGAIN - WE really NEED to get control of the pharmaceutical industry!  These systems were designed to clean sewage. NOT CHEMICAL WARFARE !!! It is a serious problem with documented effects and trust me - I’m not sure I want to even start to research it ;(  Frogs being born all female. Shrimp going crazy, fish becoming aggressive, cancer medications, anti depressants - from pills and what passes out our bodies.  

It was really interesting we suggest you watch.  You might then start to wonder what Steven Harper is doing with our water.

 Today is a new day. 
I was gifted Friday a book, and read it already. I loved it.  Although, I do feel the he, E. Alexander M.D. forgot about us 'not so medically inclined',  I was dumb struck a few times.  LOL  
Hey, we can't all be brain surgeons. 
I was hesitant to read it because of the brain issues (frightened, a better word) but glad I did.  My faith is strong and I already believe in heaven. I believe there is more to us than this. We are all better than this <3.  I BELIEVE in GOOD and God.   
In a world full of temptation/lies/greed/pain it is hard to focus always on the good.
I too know that pain and fear bring out the worst in people and I am NO exception.
I am thankful for those around me that love me enough to remember that. ;)
Still, a few times "Proof Of Heaven!"  hit too close to home. 
Thinking of it now I tear up. <3 that poem.
He says he is meant to write that book and I feel I was meant to read it. 
That is what it is all about. Helping each other. 
I am glad I read it, not for proof of heaven but reminder that we are all ONE.

If you think I’m over stretching it on this one think again.  

Do you use ANY of the mind altering substances? Every one of them is a Mind altering substance. FACT 

Research Sugar, introduced as a drug. Until someone decided it was candy... $.  
Cannabis is a plant, use in the past fro everything from Cholic to a tooth ache, and until someone decided it was a Dangerous DRUG it was a HERB.

Never mind any of that.., ALL of the substances on the left have been attributed to death. Sugar - again - a major factor in obesity, diabetes and more.  Alcohol.. abuse, physical hard to a body, impairment, poisoning, responsible for date rape, murder and “ I was drunk...”  and more. 

SO PLEASE,  stop telling me, I am wrong.  Me and the other few hundred thousand (who admit to it) and counting that believe Cannabis is a better CHOICE. A Healthier choice.

ONE for using Cannabis as my medicine and also for all those that wish to use recreationally.  Compare the choices and statistics. 
THEN lets continue the conversation.

How about when you get a F*&^% twitch that drives crazy? Did you know it was a common side effect of one of earliest “mood” drugs approved by the  “who’s, who’s”
and pushed to the millions as ‘mama’s little helper’.  And tongue* darting...  lovely.
Twitches that never go away.   They made a pill to try,  but that just paralyzed motor skills.

I  smoked a cigarette. Once.   Thank God I hated it and became very sick. Never touched it again. I find it incredibly  frustrating to witness the addiction that people have with cigarettes. First thing in the morning and they NEED a SMOKE.   I know people that wake and  bake - start the day with Cannabis - but it is a desire  not a NEED many say - why not - gets them going!  
Much like people have their morning coffee.

It is 8:19, my coffee on my desk,  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... 
- I will wait a bit before I medicate, I usually like to get up and get something in me see how my arthritis & twitch are and take it from there. ;-)  After my surgery for months the very first thing I did was vaporize. The pain gone, twitch tamed - It helped me REST, relax and forget about he fact that I just had surgery and could feel my brain rattling around. 
How is this still happening? Cigarettes  KILL - LOOK it up! Prove me wrong!!!

I mentioned to someone the other day about the expected cost of Cannabis  because of the increase suggested by  Health Canada MMAR,  they told me - "That's a   700% INCREASE !"   WOW!   
A small price to pay when you read what it costs others around the world? 
No, ones health and freedom are never a small price.
Our health can be a high price to pay, our health and security both.  
Life needs we should not have to 'stress over' living in Canada.

Cannabis is a world wide problem. 
No, it is NOT world HUNGER - compared to that it is bullshit - but bullshit is exactly what all this is! All smoke and mirrors.
 Stop wasting money on cannabis and drug prohibition and you will have the money to avoid world hunger! Not to mention the plant! We should be shipping hungry nations hemp: protein, fiber, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals! 

I had a difficult time for several reasons and when time to ink I was inking and crying.  
I had to walk away and go for  a nap.  
I love to learn, research, discuss and draw and then I remember I’m living these cartoons too. It set me back a bit - but in between tears 'Mama bears' hackles rise ...

I was also dismal when I thought - I’m going to put the ‘place’ on the bottom of the cartoon - my first intentions the first pane - Colorado - but it could be may places including Amsterdam!  The second my obvious choice : CANADA.   The third (inspired the cartoon) was Thailand, but it could as easily be other places and has been and might continue to be.  Too many places! 

Death for a plant. It is not by hanging it is by lethal injection. Drawing the hang noose was hard enough  for me. 
Putting men to death for a plant - death for what God provided on this earth. 

Next year in Canada will people be put in jail for doing what they were told they could do in the first place. Will sick Canadians be treated like criminals for a plant that is a proven medicine all around the world? Recognized by our own Country as a medicine! 
If they don’t go to jail,  who will help with the added stress of now having to pay a up to 700% increase for medicine they use to provide for themselves or were able to purchase at a fraction of the cost?

Will I see people I know and love go to jail - people that have NEVER harmed another person a day in their life for a plant? 
Probably,  being in control of ones life, happiness and health is worth fighting for.
It is NOT worth dying for or killing for.  
Is that what 'Health' Canada will be doing to a few people on the program? 
Unfortunately,  I believe so.  ;-( 

Remember when educating others on Cannabis - It is a world wide problem.
