Typical & Criminal

Here it comes, every time I turn around I read now that Cannabis is becoming legalized across the united States (and IT IS becoming legalized across the united states), you read about cigarette companies that want to come out with a line of cannabis cigarettes, now that  the rest of the world sees people in Colorado are not becoming Zombies, in fact the opposite - both states now legal - both states in the up coming super bowl ;-)

With  those being able to apply to grow here in Canada * let me correct that - with those that have $$$$$$$$$$$  words like INVESTORS, Opportunity, stocks,  mass marketing,  the headlines are everywhere.  I am NOT  seeing words like patients, compassion, caring.
What else is new. I will be though.

Typical & Criminal.  Only, this battle is about to get complicated.
It's not just about money, it is about out families, children, parents - loved ones.

*I'm a little under the weather, Tis the season. I apologize for the  'continued tomorrow' LOL  It will continue when it is meant to continue.

My first kids coloring MINI book! Print it FREE

14/5/2013

I wanted to make a little hand-out for kids that might come to the EXPO, and for kids in general. A conversation starter. There have been several children over the years.
One page. Something to color with the added bonus of a few folds and a simple cut and you make a cute little book. Saw it on PIN.  I drew this today and have since asked FB friends their opinion of what should be in a book. I have a few new ideas and hope to try to keep making these pages and keep them circulating!

Every page is an opportunity to talk to your children about Cannabis and making healthy choices in general! Please feel free to copy and print it out I have also added  photos that  show you where to cut and how to fold below the coloring sheet ;-)!!
Print out a few and plant the seed of TRUTH in young minds &  you plant the seeds of curiosity,  understanding and compassion as well!  Have fun!  XOX
I hope it works  I will ask a friend tomorrow how to load it so you can download it as a coloring sheet.

Wow, this cartoon smacked me right in the head ;-) Awesome.
It started with a joke from my best bud Cathy.♥
I was stressed wondering what to draw for 4/20?!
The universal day of
Celebration for Cannabis!!!
A Plant.
Grown from a seed.
Made by *GOD.
(*original patent holder)

Medical, Recreational, Hemp, Food, Fuel..
It's the day and I want to say THANK YOU!
I have said it so many times, I thank God daily for this Plant!
Give us this Day our daily Bud...  <3 Wow. YES,   I read recently  how powerful that prayer is;  Give us this dayour daily bread,  -not thanks for yesterday, or make sure I have it tomorrow. Give us THIS day.  Focus on today.
.. and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,
 and that                 ^ ^        ^  That simply put means  ^    ^  ^             :
                                               PEACE, PEOPLE!
Religion aside... who can argue with those lines?  How else are we going to get ahead, clearly WAR is not the answer!
Thank you Marvin, now in my head for the rest of the day.
People all around the world who suffer over a plant. A plant less toxic than many others,  proven helpful to ease pain, yet illegal and lives destroyed because of it.
WTF?   O.M.God.  How disappointing.
A PLANT.  While others  rape, kill, abuse, terrorize, suffer & starve needlessly...
enough with the bullshit distraction.
FOCUS on the REAL problems at hand.

Rise Up people! Speak up! <3   Celebrate this Plant! Let it be a symbol of change.
It all starts with a SEED!!!  Life.

So.. Yes!
Give us this Day our daily bud,
and thank you Lord  for it!
I do! Everyday! Keeping the Love of my life happy - How could I not give thanks?
Celebrate 4/20, Spread Peace and Love !!!
- there are already enough assholes doing the opposite;-)

HAPPY 4/20!

Tomorrow is the BIG day!  Cannabis will be celebrated all over the world! What started as a time for a bunch of guys to meet to smoke some 'marijuana'  at 4:20 everyday , has turned into a world wide celebration! On April 20th - 4/20.. People all around the world unite and light up! AWESOME!
At first I thought it was 'neat' but then to see it grow and share! People get together to share, hang out, talk, laugh, educate and stand up for something they believe in!

Medicinal and recreational, the crimes against Humanity regarding this plant are shameful.  Every year it grows larger, parades, marches, sit -in's & MORE!  Think about it...  When else do they do this? Not enough times I'm afraid. We should have a world wide NO GMO day! Or  Celebrate the children day and stop abuse!

I was asked to post a cartoon early at 7:00 p.m. my time - because it is April 20 on the other side of the world already! ;D  Yes, I will admit in my small mind,  I did not think of that at first!  How many realize the problems regarding cannabis are all around the world?  Some people even die because of it.
I do! I have been educated! I plan on doing what ever I can to help educate others!
If it is as simple as drawing a cartoon that will get some attention, create a curiosity...
Done!
I have another new toon to post tomorrow a.m. ;-)
Have a great time all who plan on doing something special for 4/20!  Remember to do it 'peacefully' < something asscoiated with pot smokers, and I'm fine with that!
Stand up for what you believe in! Why else are you here?

We watched an interesting doc. the other night, I was watching it and the guys joined me at some point. It was called: Food Matters     http://www.foodmatters.tv/
We watched it on netflix and it was awesome.
We are juicing most mornings and they don't always taste so great - especially the kale BUT - They taste better than medicine, they taste better then sick!
I will say I made kale chips and LOVED them - 250 in the oven for 30-35 min.s

Rubbed in olive oil and a bit of lemon seasoning - YUM!
Must get more Kale tomorrow.   Watch the documentary. It is informative.
Do you want to be healthy? I WISHED I had seen it an listened  years ago!
I will admit I have had an exhausting week leaving me thinking... is this as good as it gets?
Is the slow to heal excuse just that ...
I have decided to do what I love best draw and paint.

Give a man enough rope...

If you give a man enough rope...  he'll hang himself. Is this what Health Canada was hoping for?  People have been providing medicine for themselves, with Health Canada's approval and now they have changed their mind and want to take that right away from the people.
For years,  Canadians have invested time and money and educated themselves on the task. Not always an easy one, for some it is all they are physically able to do. Grow their medicine.
Growing for themselves keeps them safe, affordable and easily attainable.
For many it has become a passion. It keeps others feeling useful and not a drain to society to be able to provide for themselves or a family member. <3  Much like Grandma grows tomatoes in her garden and shares the good health with the rest of the family.
Think about it - You tell me the difference. Strictly on the plant level.
There is none.

All this will be gone. They will be forced to pay higher prices (according to HC), will have fewer options, some will turn to  opiates because they will be able to get them easier. It is sad.
They will continue to grow what they need to survive, but now they will  be afraid to do, what a few months ago was not only legal but encouraged by Health Canada. Will they go to jail? Will they lose their investments? Homes, kids, famalies. lives.
Who's government treats it sick this way?
I know too many people who are losing sleep, a few hope...  some say they are at the end of their rope and the despair in their voice is obvious.  It is a shameful thing to be doing to people over a PLANT.
If they could say it kills people/it hurts.. but they cannot - instead only proof on all it is doing to help those who need it.  I'm too tired to start to name why.
Please show your support on this issue.
One day it might be you who does not want to take an addictive pain killer for your back ... or  you will want your child to use cannabis if they need too.

We already have a leaf on our flag a maple leaf = Plant
Cannabis = Plant

Public Shaming...

30/1/2013

I use to have a dog that did this. Very embarrassing.
Hmmm’  I must admit the very first time I saw the idea I thought it was good.

It was a teen on the side of the road - I forget what it was even about - I saw it in the paper. Since, I have seen a few that I don’t really agree with and wonder like everything else, has it crossed the line?

One man’s shame is another’s funny?

I did see one that upset me, It was a little girl - perhaps 3, looking really sad - Pee’d the bed again. ;-( Wow. Compassion has left the building in that house. 3 Years old! Not everyone is a  Beethoven.  Come on, how is that gong to help the child?
I felt sorry for the little girl.

Poor parenting skills ? Sometimes we do things that we think are funny but others don’t - I can’t justify it in my mind. The image was not well received so I hope the person that shared it realized.

I do giggle at most pet shaming. I know because I have my girls' and they know when they are bad, NOT because I beat them - because I don’t.  Some dogs I worried might be frightened. But you cannot assume that.

I have one the second I see her in the morning if she meets my glance - terrific!
If not - I look for pooh, and usually I find it! Some of the images are very cute and amusing.  I love dogs.

Not fond of the public shaming of anyone or anything now; usually we feel ashamed enough when we disappoint a loved one. Pets included.
I did NOT like the one where the dog was put in the bucket for vomiting. That can’t be helped if the dog was ill and the dog did not look comfortable in the bucket.

Anyhow - Good thing I’m not into public shaming although I have thought about it!
My kitty “ I like to lick the gecko when no one is looking.”
Tequila “ I don’t share balls and I hide them so no one else can play”
Scruffy “I eat cat food”...   “I beat on Daisy”
Daisy “I chase squirrels and dirty my moms floor several times a day”
Norm “I ate all the cookies, again.”
^Time to go bake.

Man it is good to be alive!

The past couple of days have been good.  The week started off bad, with a real bad day of twitching, but the past few- so good in fact I have wanted to clean my house!

Now, you know that’s good ;-)
I had a friend admit to me that she really thought that the last time she saw me, was going to be the last time she saw me.. and that she was worried I would even make it to surgery, let alone come through it. Wow That is a couple of people now...
To hear the words said out loud that I have thought too many times myself,  as I know Norman and Storm  have also wondered these past few months.
Whew...
Thank you, I whisper at least 20 times a day.

So let me tell you ` I feel Lucky to be alive!
No - Let me correct that...
I am BLESSED to be here today!

Thank you.

As I type this Norm came in the door - we both shout - “Friday!!!”

I thought of this toon today while doing dishes and it made me giggle.
One symptom I have had  get much worse before surgery was speech - I believe it is getting better - but you know its always words that people catch and laugh at.
For example instead of saying google the other day I say Gooble..  “ I goobled it! “
Norm almost spat out diner!  “You Goobled it!?”  He shouts back, laughing. Not able to resist YET AGAIN and he knows he is going to get the evil eye for it!
 When I stop giggling.

Sigh .. hee hee hee, you have to laugh... & let it go.  ALSO embarrassing when speaking with strangers - nice ice breaker it appears as most people find this quite amusing - including me. ;-)  Well usually people don't laugh but they smirk or smile.

Time to turn off and go spend some time with my family 2 legs and 4!
I am so happy to be still here doing it.

Have an awesome weekend!  Don’t drink and drive.’
If you must & IF you can, choose a healthier alternative.  ❤

Happy New Year!

2013 Is here and I AM Thrilled!! New day, new year -new chance to get it right! I am ready, we have spent the past few days re-organizing my craft room/painting studio/guest room, when I was recovering - all stuff ended up in there - so that when I looked at it I felt anything but crafty! More like closing the door and running. Well it is done now, we also took down the tree and all the decorations! I woke up today to a clean house for January the 1st!
AWESOME!

Cartoons waiting to be inked and colored - enough for a couple of weeks easy! I was thinking, I shall call consider last year my wake up call year, with my own health issues & surgery behind me, still on the road to recovery but more determined than ever to get better and be better.  For my own sense of balance I will force myself to work on all topics I enjoy and not get consumed by the insanity that comes with Cannabis education.  Since so near and dear to my heart - the topic - will be a focus that is for sure!  I plan on getting more out of 2013...
More time loving less time dreaming!
More time drawing less time looking at FB!
More time focusing on positive - less time to bitch!
More time playing with the dogs- less time worrying about regular exercise!
Time to draw and then perhaps a bit of painting.

I'd like to start my year off by thanking God for ALL of it.
Every pencil, every piece of paper and every puff.

Every seed is a seed of HOPE!

How true the quote is (by: Robert H. Schuller) With every seed planted we also plant hope - and that tiny seed  is a source for huge hope! When we start our tomato seeds every year the first thought I have is: I wonder how many tomatoes we will get and how great they will be - juicy, firm, red - better than anything purchased in a store! Well - other than the farmers market.

As with life - we only need a tiny seed sometimes of hope. I have to say when I woke up this morning,  it took so long (over 40 mins.)  for my twitch to kick in I thought - It's gone!
It's gone! I got up - dressed, had coffee and still only a tiny little linger...
I was so excited I started to cry and then started to twitch ! LOL
It is still good and I've been up for 3 hours. It is amazing what it does for the mind. HOPE.  Then I read Germany is making it so seriously ill people can grow their own medicine and parents are seriously looking into Cannabis for Autism in record numbers -WHY- because they have seen how it is helping other children - Thank God to the parents who have shared their experience and live with it daily. I have seen some of the children Cannabis is helping and those parents have such a difficult road ahead of them. The last thing they should have to worry about is the politics of it all.
I have HOPE that Health Canada will recognize what the are doing to MMAR patients is WRONG. Compassion needs to be shown for those who need it - not added stress.
 I have hope! I
I'm going to send my surgeon an e mail thanking him again - this is the best I have felt with this twitch is over 3 YEARS!  Craft room - here I come! I have Hempy Stalkers to make! Already on order for the Treating Yourself EXPO.    I HOPE everyone has a great day!
Eat an apple and look at those seeds... Imagine the number of apples from one seed and Thank God for providing the seeds.
ALL OF them, for everyone.
How is an apple seed different from a Cannabis seed?
A Cannabis seed brings those who are hurting - HOPE!

I love listening to this when I draw. It is meditation for my mind.

Yes! We are still here! It's almost 2013 and I cannot wait! Yesterday - Christmas day - also 6 weeks to the day after my surgery, so I am celebrating!
One, that I'm still here and although what seems like a long time healing, I am now walking better, my twitch still here -is not as painful as it was so I am grateful!
We had a wonderful Christmas, although I was called a bit of a 'scrooge' - brain surgery is no excuse not to go Christmas shopping - this coming from 2 guys who went Christmas shopping the week/day before.  ;-)

My son  picked me the perfect gift! New pencil crayons- not just pencil crayons- they are like they ultimate drug for me! New colors, I never even knew existed! It is hard for me not to just sit and play!! I did use them for the toon above, new paint brushes and my hubby made me a new side table! No more spills! Complete with treat drawer for late night cartooning munchies.  Kermit was also a gift this year! I plan on having a bit of fun with him.  I did not need or ask for anything so it was really nice to see the thought they put into it.

I have made up my mind that I will continue to draw what I believe! I will draw what my heart wants me to draw in 2013. As much as I believe in Cannabis as a medicine and will continue to help raise awareness (like the new changes that will hurt so many with the new MMAR program- drawings waiting) .... I see other issues that we all deal with on a grander scale and hope to address some attention to them as well & just have some fun!  We all need to step back, breath and take a break from time to time, perhaps have a giggle. Luckily for me I have my girls and guys who are a constant source of love, entertainment and material.
My own personal goal is to be a better person than I was yesterday. Every day.
Time for a few days off to organize, reboot, clean and organize my studio for what promised to be a better, busier year!
Get ready! 2013 is almost here!
How will you make 2013 a better place for all of us?

I started to notice shaved kitties on PIN.
They crack me up. As tempted as I am, I can not and will not do this to any of our kitties - there is a reason they have their fur.
I guess in a warm climate - ?
So since I could not do it in real life - it seem the obvious step was the cartoon.
I'm also not big on clothing - although the girls do have a few outfits ;-)
Our pets are not props. BUT I see no harm in the occasional costumes, sweaters and hats;-) As for painting & shaving - I think if  'Fido' had the choice - he probably would not.
As long as my girls are getting love and attention, food and exercise - they have no desire for diamonds or hair do's.  -None that they have expressed.   xox

Send no evil!

I hope this toon is shared as much if not more than my others. I have been reading how kids are having such a difficult time with cyber bullies, kids and adults. Not being able to escape now being harassed at home on their own PC.
I have always loved the See no, Hear no, Speak no - sadly we have to add the Send no... I have these monkeys in my studio, painted over 4 years ago as my own reminder to try to only speak positive.
Hard to do when confronted with 'challenges' that we are faced with daily - in the form of someone who pisses you off- LOL . But I am trying very hard and getting better. More than anything I am truly starting to despise gossip. I had someone start to tell me something about someone we both know -had said about me- I astonished myself when before she could continue I put up my hand and said "before you tell me what she has to gossip about me - stop and ask yourself what she is saying to someone about you."  That is the truth - look where it comes from! Chances are that person who always has something nasty to say about someone - will say it about you too when your back is turned. That sort of person  knows no other way to get attention. It is sad really - often jealousy is the reason or just anger. Angry with their own miserable lives that they see nothing wrong with constantly talking badly about others.  I have to say -  my friend looked at me and said "your right!"  The topic of conversation quickly changed to wonderful! I felt - TERRIFIC! I did not have to hear the vile spew and by not engaging in gossip I had an instant sense of relief! It does, it gets easier - just keep practicng like everything else.
BY refusing to listen we are helping stop it in it's tracks. Good for us and the person speaking poorly of others- help them with KARMA - lol.  I will not give into gossip any longer it only robs my mind of focusing my energy on positive! My mind needs all the help it can get with focusing! ;-)

On that Note! I have a date! I have a date for my surgery and I thought once I had the date I would be terrified but yesterday I felt pangs of JOY!! HOPE! Nov.13th. To think that I will wake up from surgery and this twitch will be gone! The pain gone! The controlling of my life gone! My face back! My smile back! I will be comfortable going out in public again! I am so excited! I found myself dancing with daisy in the kitchen yesterday a few times!
Wow! HOPE is so powerful.
I have to go draw!!! ;-D xox

Sasquatch!

It happened again! I had one of those 'Who the F*&^% is that?!'  moments in the middle of the night with my mirror. I just cut my hair short as I am getting ready for surgery and I know part of it will be shaved so I'm making the transition easier. ;-)..  I got up in the middle of the night to - what we do in the middle of the night and caught a glimpse of my reflection! I swear I let out a small scream without even realizing - it was a -did I say that out loud moment!  Where is that hot babe that always looked back looking sexy - no matter what shape her hair was in! LOL I'm still here and even though my own appearance catches me off guard I am reminded that is all it is a reflection. It is NOT me.  I think we would all be better if we did not see our reflection.
I was watching a doc  called  'Mansome'  http://mansomethemovie.com/  we watched it on Netflix.  Norm and I both enjoyed it. Well there was this one 'indian guy" and I thought he was Hot, BUT as the interview goes on I am sick of him catching his reflection in every shiny object he can and his SO full of himself/shallow attitude was quite a turn off.
I'd much rather have someone like Zach Galifianakis anyday compared to him (he is also in the doc)  Not into the Mansome stuff.  Especially the C, S&B wax.  Ouch, yuk.
We put too much on appearances because yes they do - we all fade, slip, sag, wrinkle and grey one day!  To which I say YIPPIE! One because I am still here to see another day- many are not much younger than I, and with each wrinkle I know I have truly earned it. I love my S&P hair! It would cost me a fortune for such streaks!!!

Anyhow as fate would have it - the very morning this drawing was on my desk not yet colored a friend stopped by and we started talking about bathrooms paint and turning on the light and catching your reflection! She said the same thing I had just drawn!  We are not alone! I know I am not the only sasquatch sighting at 3:a.m.
Embrace it!
Embrace the Sas when you see it!!!  It means (all that really matters)- we are sill breathing. xox <><

added Oct,  someone sent me this  re the above toon:
Your blog made me remember when that happened to me. I was into my treatment { pegatron n interfon which was a yr long} for the Hep C about 3 1/2 months, looked in the mirror one morning and seen this sick looking person with hair falling out in handfulls {already cut it short} gaunt looking {lost about 45lbs} pale, skin hanging looking like death warmed over. I went back into the shower and cried my heart out. I think letting it all out in the shower helped me accept what was happening and knowing/hoping {50/50 success rate} it would only make my life so much better. It was a long hard road but I crossed that path and love the one I am on now.
My toon was really just about  age in general but yes it is important to remember when people are not feeling well and a little added TLC is needed to help them. People realize when they don't feel well - just like obese people KNOW they are obese - they don't need anyone to remind them - that is what a mirror is for. Be good to yourself ;-)

Creepy

What inspires a toon? This one was, believe it or not inspired by a comment someone made about "when does persistence become creepy".   I believe Creepy is Creepy the second your mind thinks that's creepy. Too often we do not listen to what our own bodies & mind is telling us. To some what is creepy - is nothing more than a different form of expression  and others what some might think creepy - might think downright disgusting! Yet another might just see it as a completely fine turn on...  to each his own.  We are all unique- everyone of us, special and each comes with our own mind full of our own ideas.  This is what makes everyday a mental exercise! Keeps us thinking and feeling!  If something makes you feel "creepy" it is usually for a reason. If you feel uncomfortable at anytime - don't dismiss it. Think about it and be careful. Our bodies and mind have these senses for a reason.

From Pill to Plant pusher! & PROUD of it!

Old bottle of Cannabis EXTRACT medicine.
Once Cannabis is introduced to you as a medicine and you can't believe that you can experience the extent of relief from a plant you can't help but step back and think - WOW!
These past five years has been transforming. Especially in the kitchen!!  I now use Sage for a mouth wash- I'm prone to cankers- well I USE to be! Now when I feel one starting - rinse with a sage tea and it's gone before it gets worse. Honey and cinnamon are a daily  spoonful taken in the a.m. to assist with arthritis, I have rosemary, basil and more on my window and plan to keep them there all year long!
Looking back I can't help but feel cheated - WE had it right a long time ago, we ate healthier not processed, we medicated FIRST with plants.  We are always hearing about someone that is getting flesh eating disorder, some sort of stomach ailment, pain from pills- been there done that.  I for one feel    better -(twitch aside) than I have in years!
I have a new book - medicine in the garden and I plan on using it FIRST before I put  toxic chemicals into my system . I KNOW pills sometimes help but I no longer believe it should be my first choice but rather - my last resort.
So, in the past when I might have said to a friend in need- "Not feeling well ? Want one of my pain pills?"  WE all do it! We do not like to see those we love suffer.  Instead now I will inform them on Cannabis - and try to help them seek other alternatives. I will never offer a friend a pain 'pill' again  realizing now, I might just be offering them a future of addiction and other problems.
From pill popper to plant pusher!!!!  Which would you rather be?

Snoop Dog <NOW> Snoop Lion!  How cool! As we grow we change. My own cartoon strip changes all the time and I have decided always will. LIFE changes. I remember reading about Lynn Johnston (cartoonist, personal hero'ess' of mine, woman,  AMAZING GIFTED CARTOONIST and a Canadian)  let the dog Farley die in the strip  much to many disappointed fans. But as a cartoonist  -you draw what you love  I love my family, pets, friends, Cannabis, God, good, Buddha..  When my dog Hunny died I had a hard time drawing her after - still do and then just thought o.k. time to move on - move over, Move UP!  Be better. Why should artists be any different we have to do what we feel makes us better.  Every day we should all work at being better. Making this a better place.
Snoop has some people not so happy about his decision but any true fan knows Snoop is still Snoop!  I must say myself I know him lately more for him being the man he is than the artist.  I like how he was in the kitchen with Martha - Hee Hee Hee, I  bet they had fun.
Snoop speaks his mind/stands up for his friends Willie & Cannabis and now is going to where he believes he needs to be. Snoop Lion!  I read  he feels he is Bob Marley re incarnated. There can never be another Bob BUT the thought of the TWO combined - Excites my ears!
Today if you can hear. Be thankful!

Today's cool...

From reality T.V and  the news, FB, reading the paper- and witnessing life... wow Teens today! NEVER MIND teens today! PARENTS TODAY! If your teen thinks it is COOL to have a baby - I will say it > where the heck are your parenting skills!?
IT is not COOL for the amount of TEENS to be having babies that are having babies! Not married,  (not that really matters- I have many friends 20 years later that no longer married) do not have steady jobs are in many cases do NOT even finish their high school education. More and more babies are being born to young moms- who really are not ready, prepared for the 20+ year job they just took on! AND no dads! A generation is being brought up without dads. Or more of what I am hearing a generation being raised by already also stressed grandparents because young moms soon find they have a hard time handling.
You read and see it every day. IT IS harder for teens today!
$$$ schools- $$$, no jobs, parents working harder, parents working more hours less family time.
The most important second thing that appears to be COOL - guns and gangs.   NOT COOL
It speaks for itself especially in this city Toronto that I grew up in. This summer full of guns, death, gangs and violence. IT's NOT cool.  Sadly most realize how UN cool it is once they are in jail or have lost a life.
ATTITUDE. Kids are getting away with so much attitude. They think it's o.k. /cool to walk up to a stranger and tell them to go fuck themselves. They walk around angry and miserable. Sadly they grow, angrier, nastier and alone. The crap they get away with IN school is terrible - I feel for teachers and other students that grasp the importance of an education but are forced to deal with others attitude and Bullshit.  Not COOL.
All this is on the rise... WHY? Where are today's parents? WHEN your children are young they need direction and LOVE and they need to think - ahead of the moment to see that what they think as today's cool could have them turned into tomorrows Fool. Sad all around. They don't need all that STUFF that parents work so hard for, most do not appreciate it anyway.
TEENS are big kids. STILL needing lots of LOVE - even more! Patience and teaching - after all they will soon be tomorrows adults and that effects us all.
DON'T LIE to them about Cannabis.  If you drink ALCOHOL - make sure they understand how many lives are ruined by alcohol daily on every level - EDUCATE them so they can be the intelligent beings they are - with a chance at a positive future.WE all need to Teach our children about moderation, choice and responsibility.
xox  LOT's of LOVE they can never have too much LOVE.

The way I see it is people are becoming educated with facts and real life experience. Hard to tell someone in College 'reefer madness' -Marijuana will fry your brains! - When professionals/parents & presidents admit to it. Science is showing Cannabis and how it eases chronic pain and helps with numerous other diseases. IT is much safer than Alcohol and less addictive or harmful than numerous other 'intoxicants' legal or illegal. The  NOW generation is far from stupid.
I see Cannabis trials turning into compassion trials.
Changes &  Challenges being made daily.
This Plant is not going away and I will tell you as a parent I would not be ashamed if my young adult told me of their use with cannabis - I'd much rather that then alcohol or chemicals.  I would be proud that they came to an educated decision.  Education is changing minds and bringing awareness.  Generations are seeing how it is helping older and younger patients alike.  If someone you love is using cannabis - put the negative stigma aside and thank God they have a safe option for helping ease their pain. That is all that should matter - ever.

When it comes to HEMP - I am proud of Canada - We grow and export Hemp all over the world.  We got that right! I saw this short vid. this a.m. on the Hemp car made way back when!!> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLKDTfQMhfg&feature=player_embedded
WOW!  IF only...  Hemp is used in so many ways all around the world, building material, FOOD, clothing, furniture - it is endless. So NOT to grow it is just - insane!
Think about it!?
WHY would anyone NOT grow HEMP knowing all it can do?  Because someone might sneak some cannabis in there to get a little buzz....  PLEASE! That is just an excuse!
It's all about the $$$ people - want to be a little better educated on HEMP today ?
Watch this:
http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/hemp-revolution/   Watch it! It is interesting!
Education is the key to ending the insanity!
What have you got to lose .. I mean, besides your children's future?

HEMP HEMP HORAY!!! I live in a Country that LOVES it's HEMP!
If you don't speak up! - VOTE.

I am home! A bit rested - I am NOT use to the city and had a hard time sleeping, so I have a bit of catch up to be doing!  WE had an amazing time! There was so much happening and going on again - NOT once was I able to leave my booth and see the entire expo -I'd try but would see someone I know or knows me and would chat - realizing I had to get back to my booth - so I only really left when I had to.  I have made notes - several things happened at the EXPO I can not wait to share. A couple of 'events/situations' - not great and that too will be talked about - it is the only way to correct and make changes!  Luckily there were really only 2 things that bothered me - an ignorant radio host, a bad attitude politician (go figure) - more on that later...  other than that the show was fantastic!  I met so many wonderful people all ages, races and education! I was honored to meet several  people in particular famous and not.
I had a few AMAZING things happen to us - wow my head still reeling - did that conversation really take place ?! KOWABUNGA - I am excited beyond- BUT I have to focus!
I have drawing to do - I have a waiting list- I have made notes and have some great photos!
Like the one about of my handsome son in the booth this year ;-)
All of which I shall share starting tomorrow!  Today it's re-organize, but just a few key words/names/people  I will be talking about:  Oliver ;-),  Moses, Marco, My liberal and NDP experience, Jodie, Patti, Lauren, Marie, Storm (of course),  Tiny pink panties, Tourists,
Options, Ignorant Radio hosts, Martin, Drawing, teen age boys, Buddhist monks and more!
More importantly - to me anyhow - I get back to business today! DRAWING!
MUCH love to all who came out to say hello- Thank you! Stay tooned!
Oh BTW - Expo booked for next year already ! May 24- weekend 2013!!  If it continues to grow like I have witnessed it the past 3 years (which it will) I am convinced it is only a matter of time before cannabis is legalized and the insanity ended!

The Happy Hippie is se up in my home - a few touch ups and he is ready for the EXPO.  I love this guy and so did the many people who had their photos taken with him last year.
People can not resist becoming a bud! My own aunt and uncle were up on the weekend and they both had their photos taken with Buddy ;-) LOL  Neither tired cannabis ever but are very supportive of our medicine.  Photos are memories - I don't care if someone buys something or not - He is here to take a photo and hopefully make someone smile ;-)
I heard about a car show my cousin was at - he has a beautiful classic - and The Fonz was there  YOu know AAAAEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee! It's The Fonz!  My cousins friend wanted a
photo with the Fonz - I would too! BUT apparently it would cost him $20 bucks! FOR WHAT a PHOTO of the Fonz- who is not quite the FONZ anymore!?  Man it is all about $$! I was so disappointed to hear that. Last year someone asked me ( they were staring at the display and smiling and I told them to take a picture-) How much? FREE OF COURSE!  OMGosh!
It makes my day to know someone wants a photo with my HH or this years Laughing Buddha! If I think that each time they look at this photo a little smile will sneak across their face - Well that is worth more than $20. bucks if you ask me. ;-)  I don't care if they do not know who I am or about my son.  I get such a smile watching them take the photos ;-) I took a few last year and e mailed to those who did not have a camera ;-)  FREE of charge.
So COME take your PHOTO- PLEASE!
 FREE!
SMILES FREE!

Fonz- $20. for a photo? Tisk Tisk Tisk  I still love you - but I wont pay $20 for a photo, now a kiss on the cheek.. an AAAAAAAAeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...   perhaps.
Picture
I chanted when I painted him and thought happy thoughts and wished that everyone that he makes smile is blessed ;-) From me to them. GOOD VIBES on the way ;-)

What a beautiful morning!

The sun shining, my guys off to work, laundry is in and I'm already drawing and it's only 10:00 a.m.! Was thinking about what I'm grateful for this morning; it is the simple every day pleasures.
MUSIC!  Where would I be without it? I have it on all the time. A music for every thing I do, clean or draw I have preferred tunes to toon to. Deval Premal, The Commodores, new stuff old stuff, it's all good!
Books! Currently I am reading 3, The Pot Book- material and education,  The Clan of the Cave Bears - entertainment and educational - especially regarding all the herbal medicines
and The Purpose Driven Life ` because I like it.
Paper! Picked up a new batch of paper and I'm excited! When I ran out recently it was in fact I realized like and addiction! I could not stop thinking about it.. was looking at my empty shelf every time I walked by. I was itchin' to draw!  XOX to Jim  for providing me with my FIX which in turn provides you with your georgia toons!  Paying it forward.
Prayer! Do what ever it takes ~ for what ever reason - It is the only thing that can calm me right down. My meditation.  It forces me to quiet, listen and hope. Puts things into perspective.   These things I do daily and never really thought how blessed I am to  have all these rituals at my finger tips. So many in this world do not have such simple luxuries  well except for music, music & prayer  we all access to them. Drumming  on a rock with a stick, humming a tune  praying with beads or pebbles.  What ever it takes.
DRAWING!! Where would I be with out it!?   LOST.  I have decided today to do something good with my drawing, every Monday I will post a toon and a price. The money for the toon will go to shipping and  donating to a charity of my choice - which I will add the link to.
Todays toon: Drew this a long time ago but had to re-draw this a.m. (thought it might help with CHICKEN sales! ;-DDD) Now you don't have to guess anymore. I've answered one of lifes questions for you, go and enjoy your day! xox
*** should anyone want to purchase this full size original for $45. That would include shipping and the rest of the money I will buy 3 sets of chickens  to send to Asia.       http://www.gfa.ca/gift/browse/from-the-stable/    If you would like to help me help make a difference  & Own a Georgitoons original send me an e mail : GeorgiaToons

Time out!

19/11/2011

Time out - when Storm was little and stuff was getting to him, he would act up as do all kids and we give them a time out! I did the 1, 2, 3 thing with Storm and it worked amazing - I rarely got to 3. Sometimes I realize now I need a time out. Not for acting up but more from overload.
Stuff on my mind from a busy week, Dr.s visits and  sometimes stuff just gets to me. This week on FB I saw an image of an 84 year old woman who had been pepper sprayed  ;-(  REALLY!? Is that the only way to deal with and 80 year old lady. ;-( I read of a baby boy abducted and found shortly after beaten and sexually abused;-(  There were all kinds of porn posts on Fb - hacking and posting nasty stuff..   TIME out!   I plan on staying off of FB for at least a week. Luckily I have my assistant who is a FB ninja so she can still help me post and spread the word while I draw and FOCUS.
I have so many drawings in my head right now with all that is happening, I'm going to get them out on paper. The strip will soon be taking a new (an interesting) twist - I've decided to start and also make some strips straight forward - so that anyone that sees them would have to go  Hmmmmmmmmmmm.. think.  JUST think.  I don't think it is even about Cannabis any more.  More about power and control. To control and jail people over a plant is simply a crime against nature and humanity. Past presidents have said it - the drug should be more harmful than the punishment.  This in NOT the case with Cannabis.  Regarding medicinal cannabis - I just read a man denied a liver transplant because he uses Dr. approved Cannabis for his pain control.   W.T.F?  Where is compassion for sick and suffering?
Time-out for me to wrap my head around some stuff..  and do what matters to me and what I believe in. I do plan on blogging and posting everyday but I need a break from FB and surfing - I have more than enough to research already. I'm here is anyone wants to get in touch all I ask is that you share, spread the word - as always if you know someone who has a child who is suffering from chronic pain, arthritis, cancer - anything - PLEASE tell them about Storm's story and the other children on my Cannabis Education page.
CANNABIS helps. It NEEDs to be researched.  It NEEDS to be legalized.
Help ease suffering. Help end this insanity. Over a .... plant.  xox
