Where would you go?  With changes come possibilities..  I know.
I've been researching properties in Canada. I love the water.  
Living where I am now it's not an option. Prices have gone up in Keswick since the 404 completion, now a shorter drive to the city has made properties prices raise beyond my budget... my long time pal Christine has already informed me of this - so then GO!  
I told Josh- "You're an American- You don't have to stay in Texas! (Sad still the state of Cannabis there, Imo.. people suffering needlessly) GO!! I said! Get on a bus and go.    
He went and is doing amazing in Seattle! Such a talented guy my pal Joshua.  < read about him here!  I will say, our time hanging out has made us life long friends. Another pal Peter - he hated it here in Toronto and always talked about the England.. I said GO!!! WTF are you doing?? lol - He went! he got a job before he even arrived- Frig, I am proud of him. He has friends, shipped his very cool bike over and  when I last saw- On a normal F*&^ Fb page- he was having a wonderful time and happy travelling all over!
 
So, now what? GO!! But where. Halliburton, I've been there my entire life off and on and love it. It's a friendly community with an intimacy you don't get in a big city, I even enjoy and still listen to canoe - the radio station. I never have problems meeting and speaking to new people, it is truly a gift I got from my mom. I've never had a problem making friends, when I want them.  As I get older I'm enjoying a small circle of great friends, wider circle of  good friends.  Still, I can't afford anything on the water...
Then I ventured a little further Turo!! Nova Scotia?  
Then I spied this "Inn"  - it is on my list of places to visit & stay. * these sites find me, btw.

I place to look at water, walk my dogs, have some chickens, have friends over for relaxing potluck meals. hee hee  I want to paint. I want to paint about aboriginal plights in this country, the struggles women are having around the world, poverty, child abuse.. an I want to paint  gouache birds & kertmit the frog.  
I'm working on a cartoon now calling it "I'm ashamed", I am...  but I can focus on doing better now that I am educating myself & draw! I want to draw!

Visit with Robert and the ZENkitty crew!  Visit Ivan and his talented wife!
She has already promised to teach me a clay class!

Where would you Go?

'My mom asked why I had not painted a 'Robin?', being my middle name.  
It's on the list. Along with today- cleaning my office and painting room, again.
Starting to draw the cover for Cannabis Digest- I lay all the past issues I did on my bed last night and choose what I liked out of each one- and shall combine them for the next!
It's exciting! 

Getting ready to hunker down for the fall and winter months ahead.
I am also looking into moving  so far - up North- Halliburton looks good.
Do you know of a small Canadian town you love, close to water?
Let me know..  I must be close to water.
Not* B.C., I'm more of a PEI/Nova Scotia sort of person.
I'll have the winter to research all I need to know.

Today, one of my favourite birds- huge  beasts when you see them in comparison to house sparrows, some big enough make me think they might air lift an unexpected Poppy if not careful! lol  It is in the 'details stage..' (kinda like me) I'lll share it tomorrow with the new cartoon on  Human Trafficking.
Ravens represent change and there is much change happening. Inside and out.
I ask for patience for me and from you, while I focus on what I need to do.

I have my first cartoon with a new perspective on the drawing desk (try to bring awareness for better education to HELP anyone I can),  the Raven Queen is just my mental warm up.  
I must apologize to a few patient post card- expectant recipients...  Opps! I found some with a comic or two that should have went out- ONLY to fall behind the dresser they were sitting on!!  Mail is soon on the way!  

What is an important issue for you?
How will you take 'one step' to bring awareness to it today?  
Start a conversation, write a blog, write to  your MP... PM, an editor of a local paper.
Draw about it.  Make protest sign -even if you only  carry it for one day!  
Join a group  supporting the same cause you are concerned about.
Research more- and try to find out what you can to to help bring about some sort of change.

Anything - beats nothing every time.

I Am, the queen you all work of me.. who(m) is correct in this statement?

Never. Not in my mind. Not within.
I really enjoyed making this cartoon - it was a test to myself in many ways.
F*ck it!  I want to have some fun. 
I put on my kermit the frog headphones - *Still remember they were a great deal.  
Turned on my music- it plays quit an assortment- It chooses:
Dr Hook started: Hooked on a Feeling.  Oooga, Oooga , Oooga , Oooga CHAKA! Oooga Chaka!  I see my frogs dance!  
Choose it does, nothing is left to fate.  
Are you paying attention to every moment?

I went within and started to think of what was making me feel unhappy & what makes me feel happy. What, who, music, mood.. makes me smile, inspires - this included researching beautiful images of lotus flowers on PIN &- google, beauty & fun images of frogs in ponds.  Some actually make me giggle out loud.  

I remember, I am a child of God who is thankful for everything, including the pencils before me!   A sketch soon turns to painting. 
Tears have turned to a grin.. I am calm within.
My twitch seems to almost tame.  

I step out for a dinner snack & back.
Poppy and I paint well into 3:15a.m. this is when I put the music to sleep.
My frogs end with a slow Dance- Chris Issace: Wicked game. 

I couldn't wait to wake up and start all over again.

Is there any greater feeling than when someone make you feel loved?  Liked even? lol  
How Sweet it is to be loved by you!!  I feel loved.  Thank God.  Thank You.

I had a  visit with my friend Ivan via Skype this week that always makes me feel loved, we catch up, see what each other is working on and discuss dreams.  :) He is multi talented! He is working on this years float, new t-shirts and more  (shhhh it's a secret! Terrific stuff!)
Today is his Birthday! Check out his site and wish him happy birthday! hee hee hee 

We received our first Christmas card from JoshuaBoulet! ;)
In Seattle drawing up a storm, his mom bought him a ticket home for Christmas (I love that) - so Texas he will be! I hope one day he visits me! 

An longtime friend, Christine visited yesterday. How nice  to just sit and chat - catch up! 
I might get her to correct my cartoons for spelling from now on. lol 

I made a new 'artist friend' a very talented young lady, who's images make me curious to know more - beautifully haunting. She does not have a website. I'll ask and share at a later date.  & Now we are exchanging hand drawn Christmas cards and a souvenir from where we live! Not sure what to get, but I better get it this weekend & out this weekend!

The BlueJay bird- papermache is off to a new nest carrying  lots of LOVE!
For new nest full of love.  I hope every time he is glanced at the recipient will smile and reminded they are loved by another next in Canada..  ;)

I have finally parted with an original Snail drawing on HEMP painted with TLC & then hung by my desk. I like to look at what I've made.  It brings me joy to know I created something from my own imagination! Again, it goes with love, when a smile crosses the face of the recipient - I'll know, my heart will feel it.  

An original is on it's way to a new home/studio - another I had hanging in my bedroom for over 2 years - maybe 3 -  I looked at it every morning and every night! The last time I did that, I sent Jerry kelly that original. I knew it was meant for him.  This time, I looked at the  HUGE smile one morning and I smiled and I knew instantly who to send it to & for several reasons!   I'll know when he opened it! My  heart will feel it.

I sent a card to a fellow Narwhal, lol I'm giggling - for my own reasons, which I MIGHT share at a later date.

I get giddy sitting here - wondering 'did so and so get a  package! ?' 
Have I made them smile? Other times I just send cards.
I send what I am to send...  to whom I am to send it.
LOVE.
ALWAYS.

So, no wonder... I feel loved by you.. How sweet it is to feel loved by you!

I don't gift wrap.. well sometimes and only with paper that I have had in my craft room for a decade. I don't buy it anymore. I feel it is like gambling; may as well take that money and burn it - along with the ink, chemicals and trees. 'Reality Elf 'remember.
BUT! If you think I don't like gift wrapped gifts you would be mistaken.

I do like the VISUAL "presentation' wrapping and some people are very creative, I have this friend who's  wrapping would put Santa to shame - her  gifts so visually beautiful, each wrapping was a gift in itself!  I must admit, Norm too has a knack and he loves to wrap.
The majority of us  don't do a great job, or even enjoy the task that much - so:
         Let it Go!!  Tis the Season to Be Jolly! Start a new Holiday tradition!  
Get creative! Tie it in a pillowcase! A Reusable gift bag - I already received (TY Mona! xox) a very cute chihuahua "new library bag", a old drawing! An old cherished T! 
ESPECIALLY for kids who  TEAR it to shreds- Who could care less about  the appearance or thought and only want the gift (we've all been there) - can't we teach them  that until they grasp the concept of environment - we should let them have the choice wrapped or reused.

Never all mind all of that because - the only thing that DOES matter - Is your love, patience and attention during the holiday season and every day of the year.
It's just stuff and it's just stuffed wrapped around the stuff.

Love is all you need, fa la la la la  laaaaalaaaalaaalaa.
Paper or not - I still peek.  TY Mona!

Sun or shade coffee? You don't know?  Neither did I , so don't feel bad.  I do now from reading  Silence of the Songbirds, which I am throughly enjoying.  Its simple, sun grown coffee is all about $$$ - your not surprised, I know.  Shade grown is NOT about cutting down all the trees- it is  growing coffee like they did for generations/decades - better for the  birds, countless creatures- not to mention the one called MAN. The planet too of course.

 If it is as simple as switching to shade grown coffee - won't you consider? 
I am now asking all retailers if they have shade grown coffee available and if not, I educate and ask if they will consider getting it.  Make people aware. Is that not what IT is about? Most people care about our futures and children futures - they just don't know.
As with cannabis. Education is the key.

Me, I'm being really selfish right now, I care about the birds! Once again - helpless, harmless creatures- in fact the opposite-  birds  are our world. The first feathered dinosaurs. You have no idea of how bad it would be without birds. Insect eater and seed planters! 
They are our original farmers!!
I have a can of Folgers in the cupboard. They are NOT shade grown, as soon as that can is gone - we have switched over. I found a place on line,  I can order coffee right to the door -  If I use It and am happy with the service - I'll share in a future blog.

About Pumpkin smashing...  I slept like a baby the day I squashed the pumpkin, it was long over due I think. Norm too, did much thinking..  Norm is not one of those guys who can say "I'm Sorry..." or "I was wrong" (can many husbands) - lol.  I can tell he did much thinking on the weekend when I look our kitchen window and see an awesome new 2 tier feeder!  Norms  version of sorry. 
Also a few other things I've 'been bugging' about  miraculously were all taken care of this weekend. Being 'quiet' in a relationship is good  occasionally, it gives each other time to - cool off & THINK.  He made stuff, I made meals and cleaned and painted. 
Storm was away for the weekend, so that too was good & he had a fantastic time! 
I'm thrilled to hear it! 

Today, all is well on the Peschel Family front, now it's time to go out and figure out how I'll hang the new feeder!  I think from the cloths line if it is not too heavy. It's more for bluejays and cardinals - & both visit now regular- I had the pleasure of watching two cardinals feed each other yesterday for a good 1/2 - a male and female. It was too sweet, better than watching cable T.V. any day! 

 So cheers! What will it be shade or sun?  TWEET TWEET! 
Save millions of birds by choosing shade please. It's that simple.
