I love drawing Christmas STUFF.. Always have - I have memories of learning how to draw Rudolph over and over again as well as Santa and the Christmas Tree. Christmas was great when Storm was little, it is still great - as a matter of fact it is even nicer now. Now we focus on being together as a family, share several good meals and relax. I am NOT fond of the commercialism that Christmas is now. Shopping and $$$$$ that most people come to regret in January all because of what peer pressure? It's Christmas! They have to have gifts!
The fliers, the advertising, the commercials.. it is IN your face - YET, recently I read some schools in The GTA do not want to celebrate Christmas, no card exchanging, no Christmas pageants - how confusing it must be to little ones. I will admit it is so easy to get caught up in.... My toon is wishful thinking for this Christmas. Imagine if Cannabis were legal. It would be a reason to celebrate - not Christmas- just to celebrate in general! There are not doubts in my mind that along with mirth and frankincense Jesus was given Cannabis by the 3 wise men- COME on they were the 3 wise men!!
I've drawn a few Christmas cartoons - and will probably think of a few more over the next month. Tis the season!
I drifted off last night thinking about something I did yesterday - I was a VERY bad girl (on Santa's naughty list) I was speeding to get home (just a couple of blocks away) I had to pee.
Sure enough I was pulled over. The officer asked me if I knew I was speeding and yes I admitted to it and told him the truth - he took my license and told me to go home and pee and he'd meet me there. LOL I did - I had to ! When I was 'done' I met him out front of my house and we started chatting as he was writing the ticket. Had I not been looking into the front of a police car with a giant shotgun, getting a ticket - I was just having a nice conversation with a pretty neat guy, he was funny - we joked. We talked for a bit actually and he was making me laugh. When it was all said and done I apologized - I was wrong. I am forever telling Storm don't speed and I am pretty good at sticking to the speed limit - well he handed me the ticket - it said 65 in a 60 zone. a $12.00 ticket. Lets just say I was a little shocked I am pretty sure I was uuuuuuummmmmmmmmm a little over 65. So there you go. A reminder - there are many nice cops out there. I didn't plead or beg -lol or show my boobies! - as Storm joked! I admitted I was speeding. I knew I was. He could have been - you now. BUT he was a NICE guy. I parted telling him it was a pleasure talking to him and it was. I feel very bad for police they get lumped into one group. I wish I had more time to talk to him I would have asked him his opinion on Medical Cannabis.. Next time! LOL!! NOT! Lesson learned. Pee before you leave.
One more thing.. I got the nicest hug yesterday. I gave a hug to someone to thank them, I think he was caught a bit off guard for a second and then I just got the nicest hug in return, a genuine hug. There is nothing like a good hug. What a great day yesterday was. Today - I've decided is an official PJ day - with my women's pot luck tonight! NOM NOM NOM.
What a Great time of the year! Gifts or no gifts! A time to share and celebrate!
