Where do you get your Cannabis? There are several options to get your medicine....
*You can obtain it from Health Canada. * NOTE: NOT FREE! - A friend 'assumed' we get Storms medicine for free. NO it is NOT free. Not even from Health Canada.
You can get it by mail - not sure I'd trust this - quality? Return? Policy? Guarantee? Safety?
You can GROW it. Provided you are legal - and this can change and it is NOT as easy to grow quality medicine unless you know what you re doing. I have heard so many horror stories of people spending thousands and still no success. SO passion and a GREEN thumb HELPS.
You can have a designated grower. Hopefully one who knows what they are doing and does not rip people off. Sadly - I am hearing this over and over again ;-(
REMEMBER people - it's not the POT - It' the person. Sadly, bad apples in every bunch.
You can get it from a Compassion Club - and they are popping up all over. Thank God.
Compassion Clubs in IMO keep people from having to resort to DRUG dealers - No not the kind at the pharmacy... the ones in the back alley that don't want you just smoking Pot - they want you HOOKED on PILLS or Crack.
Recently we visited a compassion club - I met the owner Dean at the EXPO last year and finally made it out to his club Section 56 and this is what we thought:
It was easy to get to! It took us 45 mins all highway. Wheel chair access.
They have an ATM machine right in the lobby.
It appears safe - several security doors all with cameras.
They had a great selection of medicines and friendly staff that know their stuff.
I noticed most people were recognized by first name and were in and out rather quickly.
Dean is a great guy, he also made a recommendation about my twitch and suggested I rub on a Cannabis balm - duh - never even thought of that. So I am - and documenting. They have an assortment of edibles - and even had Frosting! Storm enjoyed his cupcakes.
What's more important is I believe Dean and his staff are compassionate and passionate about Club 56, he has plans to expand and is aware of the direction the Cannabis industry appears to be going. I also liked that Dean knew a bit about many others in this industry - compassion club owners and had something positive to say about each one.
Everyone will have their own experiences, I would never suggest any place that I thought would rip someone off or was not great - If YOU do go to a place like that - don't go back. There are enough options and by being picky about your meds, we will weed out the bad business and reward the good.
I like Club 56 - So did Storm. I do believe a good place is because of good people.
You be your own judge. If they call themselves a COMPASSION CLUB - make sure they are up to providing professional and proper service. This is our medicine - expect professionalism.
Compassion clubs are important. They should have high standards (no - not a pun)
They Know Cannabis. Keep our options safer. I can tell you as LIVING PROOF if not for a compassion club - this would have been an even more difficult journey. The information provided by The MMAR program really did not assist much. So that is where we get our Cannabis.
I believe growing your own medicine outdoors in your garden with mother nature and TLC is the best way to go - but alas we are not quite there yet! SOON! Have faith! Until then I hope you find someway safe - to get your medicine. it is our right as Canadians, it is our right as humans. xox
P.S. before we headed home we decided to end our T.O. visit with the perfect O.M.GOoDness BEST BURGER in the city. This is called the priest.
Once again we were NOT disappointed.
