I was out the other day and I saw this woman staring at Storms hearing aids. I had to giggle to myself, my God - he will be 20 and I still feel like saying something to strangers!!  Once a mom always a mom- will it ever stop? How can it!? Does our love ever stop as our kids grow up? Mine has only grown.
I was recently removed from a group of FB that is dealing with parents who have children who ill and the parents using or considering cannabis. I thought I could assist from experience but seems like my child no longer a child in others eyes- I was removed.
Actually I believe I was removed because I asked a few questions- that seems like I could get no reply... this bothered me.  IF you are a site claiming to help parent - parents who are using an illegal substance for their children - YOU better have answers!!! I don't claim to have the answers, but I would advise them to be very careful!  I saw a mom post she believes her TODDLER is autistic and wants to try cannabis? WTF? Does she not know for sure? Is she a Dr? Cannabis is medicine.  In our case our son suffer terrible daily chonic pain, Cashy - brain cancer, Haley - life threatening seisures - a decision not taken lightly by any parent I know. But to read-'I think' and 'I might try' Cannabis on my toddler! ?  COME ON!  Your child is never a prop to be used in a guessing game. Just like pills what affects us wtill affect them differently. Unless your child is seriously ill - you should not give them anything if you can help it. Who knows the long term affect of anything.
The toon speaks for itself. Happened way to many times than I care to remember but like most other things in life it taught me to be a better person and  now when I see a child - with obvious 'issues" I look directly at them in the eye and smile and usually say Hello Beautiful or Hello Handsome!  That's all.  A little silent prayer for mom or dad for strength.
If you do stare be prepared for a glare!
You deserve it.
Don't see the illness see the beautiful little being before you.
 This applies to adults too.
A smile and Hello can go a long way to brighten someone's day!
