It's Sunday! The day of rest. For some.
Yikes- it just hit me, I think the reason I get frustrated when I think of Marc Emery is because he is responsible in Canada for stores being legally OPEN on Sundays. lol
Well, Marc and the many others. I learned that watching a documentary a few years ago- it was only a matter or time and it's too bad. BTY I read an article on Marc not too long ago - a negative one by the press... all it did was make me Like Marc & dislike the nasty article. Mean spirited all around and why? He did his time it should not be discussed any further.
Let him be.
I wish we could all have one day like today - it would help keep families together, a day of play, rest - creativity! It is my favourite day! I hear as I type, Storm washing the truck!
We are going to mass.
We have been up for a while already! Norm and I fed the birds, fish, sat by the pond & had our coffee. Went out to the gazebo- he read the paper & I started a bird sketchbook journal! I drew a few as well.. For my anniversary he really did get me 100lbs of bird food. I did not want anything. Oppppppsss... When he asked - I did say 'Just a little silver smart car'. Storm jokes whenI call it that - he replies - 'Yes, just a small little BMW'.
And then... Norm had to get me a wagon - an awesome one dump/wagon that really moves around the backyard great- to carry the bird seed! I love it, I can't believe how many times I used it yesterday and today for all sorts of stuff. The guys agree. Best anniversary ever- who needs diamonds!? Not the birds.
Then we moved up to the back deck - I was anxious to finish my newest painting! Norm anxious to make breakfast! lol - Another reason I love Sundays.
I finished! Storm appeared, just up and here he is with a fresh coffee!
Norm - NOW really anxious to play & get out in the garage being creative!
Building coffins- all kidding aside - more people want them than you know. This one is going into a new business as a 'Display for the product' & you'll never guess what it is!
I do have to add - when Norm told me the name of the Company & what was, I LOVED it and thought - 'I'd go in there - just to CHECK it out.'
I can't tell you the name of the company - I'll ask the owner first.
I will keep you posted. If I can get a photo of it set up in shop I will.
Well with my canvas complete! For my desk. ;) Time to get dressed, go to mass, say hello to same friends- after I say Hi to Jesus first. lol Come back home and continue on! It's going to be a hot day, an expected 28 degrees. Great day to paint.

*As I was taking the photos below, I took one straight faced *since I was having such a 'complete rest' -that is when, for what ever reason it disappears- completely if only for a few moments and so far its been a great morning. When it happens, my entire body feels NORMAL. it is these moments that keep me sane.
You can see though now, even when at complete rest my face is 'changed' from what is happening.
BUT - when I first looked at it, I started laughing out loud.
Thank God I'm a cartoonist and do have a sense of humour. It cracked me up and immediately - the twitch set it off and gone, but I'm still smiling. Still here.
