Last year I signed up for my first Online drawing class!
I don't have a vehicle so I don't get around much in the winter, I keep reading about classes but think, it's too late, It's too far and what if it;s a blizzard? I found this site called
'Craftsy' http://www.craftsy.com I did not want to say too much until I completed the course. I loved it!
I notice already a difference in my art. Of course it all takes time. What I really enjoyed was the fact that I was in control of WHEN I went to class. lol 2 a.m., 7 a.m. , 3 p.m., when ever I want! Coffee ready, snack and note book - no you don't need a note book you can make notes as you watch on line! Yes i am excited! For people with disabilities! Those ready to learn at their own pace! The possibilities are endless!
It cost me $20. The best $20 I have spent in a long time.
The class I took was:
Picture Book Illustration: Animal Characters with Eric Johnson
Eric was honest- to the point - I thought he just saved me alot of aggrivation, a few times he made me giggle but more often that not he made me think! He makes it look very simple but he is a very skilled artist. I do believe at any level this class will help! Don't be discouraged if you can't draw, listen to what he says and do it! SIMPLE. Before you buy a pack of smokes, or blow $20 on junk food... invest in yourself.

He is in Colorado, and also paints a few murals.
I think his book are beautiful.

You can go and see all your notes. It provides a supplies list. I liked the 30sec. replay feature. There was only ONE thing I did not like and sent an e mail to craftsy, the icon!
There is this big chunky icon in the middle of the screen that does not do away. Press play and pause icon Maybe it fades.. not needed IMO ;)
The next class I am taking is: The art of the Picture book.
I've already paid. I'll keep you posted.
