I have a few ideas for cartoons on this subject. What are you addicted to?  Not everyone is addicted to Alcohol, drugs - some are addicted to Cheese whizz! My husband is seriously addicted to his chap-stick. I have never known him NOT to have one in the 20 years we are married. I speak to many of Face Book - some e me when I take my 'FB break' - as I call them.  One guy was telling me his buddy (sure, sure) calls it Face Crack and tells me his friend checks it every 10 mins. without fail. I don't own a cell phone  but I know you can see Fb on your cell phone.  
What is going on? IT is great! Meeting people all over from all over but are we forgetting the ones that are right NOW - in front of us right NOW?  I think so, I've seen it. So when it comes to addiction - KNOCK it off .. ANYthing can be an addiction. 
I bet you there are a few that I know who would have an easier time butting out before they switch off.  
Distraction comes in so many ways.. I must constantly remind myself to focus ;-) 
So as for addiction? I am  addicted to Cannabis TRUTH! Love and peanut butter! Dog kisses, drawing, good tea...

I've reached my limit on FB 5000!  I have had very little time to friend anyone - most people have sent me a request  because they have seen my cartoons on someone's page.  That is pretty amazing!  In a year - it just kinda hit me and YES
 I have a HUGE SMILE ON my face!!!
I checked out my friends list I have friends from Newmarket! LOL
I have friends in: Colombia - funny - had to start with that one, Florida, Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela, Michigan, Rio de janerio, Greece, France, Norway, B.C! (go figure), Domenican, Peru, Nigeria, Guatemala, Johannesburg, Hong Kong, Italy, illinois, Guadalajara, U.K., Pakistan, N.Y, Egypt, Jordan, Argentine, Texas, Thailand, Germany, Indai, Indonesia, Spain, Chili, Australia, NewZealand, California, South Korea, Brazil, Turkey, Singapore, Saudia Aribia, - o.k.! All through out Canada and the USA.  HOW COOL IS THAT!?  I think it is cooler than a Hallmark card ;-D 
I have to say it . THANK you!!! Planting the seed of cannabis education. 
I have also been blessed to hear from so many around the world who have shared some of the facts about Cannabis, easy to read - harder to digest when you get an e mail from someone who's family member is being put to death because of a plant!  Mostly,  I hear from people who use cannabis to ease their pain. Body and Mind.  I believe them - you now why? LIVING PROOF!  I shall take this as a wonderful sign to keep doing what I am doing.
It started with the love for my son - and always will be about that but it has grown into much more.

Storm and I had a great day when we went out - of course. We met the owner of Burger's Priest who reminded me a bit like my laughing Buddha - he has the nicest smile and was of course a very nice person.  He has worked hard to be where he is and it is paying off. The new location was packed! I of course had my mind set on the Tower of Babel - LOL what was I thinking!? The 3 guys beside me were amazed and kept commenting on my attempt to eat the burger, I was not getting full of the flavor I was getting physically full and was not able to eat it all.  I did bring it home and Norm enjoyed the rest - his first experience with Burgers' priest and - it was cold, squashed and a little soggy and he LOVED it! LOL It is comfort food on a new level. ALSO much easier for us to drive to. http://theburgerspriest.com/  Perhaps the drive.. too easy- I'm already craving!

Today I am drawing some Cannabis cartoons. I have to take a break from time to time - not from the drawing but the frustrating facts of Cannabis - and I don't  normally feel that way - it is a BEAUTIFUL, wonderful plant! Without the Politics.  I guess it is when I get concerned for my own son. If I let the 'what ifs' take over I'd be done. So, time to take a bit of a break from FB, especially with all the political news at the moment- I know who I would vote for IF I was an American;  all I can do is hope and pray  that they get the best president they can that will listen to his people, for the people and by the people. I look forward to the first woman president - and to those of you who say it will never happen - they use to say that not too long ago. I know when S.H. (you know who...) was elected  I felt discouraged and worried, but I still believe in our people and yes I also still believe others in government.  BUT I know many Americans who will fear for their own lives.  Very ill, already suffering American's, in America who will live in fear because of their own president, and I don't just mean a few.. I believe many will feel that way. Death penalty for Cannabis? The U.S.A government has the patent on Cannabis confirming they believe it is medicine -  and  one running says he does not believe in Medicinal Cannabis ?  More than the cannabis issue what does this tell you about Compassion ?  EVEN if not ill.. image if you smoke a little cannabis and your lives destroyed. 
FOR all of us WHO have,  we know that is wrong.  If you have not, then really - you do not know and should do some real research before you judge others. 

To BRAD PITT : Oh! I am so disappointed in you! YOU KNOW! COME ON! Saying it turned you into a donut - I bet you were smoking it since the beginning of your career - if not sooner - your 'donut period' was not the cannabis but the stress - said it before and I will say it again - chances are it's the person NOT the plant.  Now - should you want to apologize feel free to call me - we can discuss it over - brownies and umm you can pose for a toon. I have great friends.  FB has me thinking - how fast the friend list has grown .. it takes me  too long to accept friend requests but I don't care. I thank every person who friend me and I like to check out profile photos, I see just how much we have in common, too many times I see cute little dogs that  look like hunny.  I found it interesting the other day I had a friend request from someone in Japan - so it said, and I was the only friend request. Hmmmm..  interesting..    People are paying attention and I thank God for it. IF I at LEAST get a conversation started I am doing what I am meant to be doing.   Profile photos - I am reminded constantly - not to judge  for example you will see all these 'bad ass biker' photos for this guy and thinks "yikes"  wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley (or bright), scroll a little further and you see him with his pet kittie that goes everywhere with him on his shoulder, him an his grandmother, at a family reunion - -  - we are all the same. We ARE all connected - like it or not!  We all have feelings..  O.k. there are exceptions, going on FB profiles I have declined a couple of people. Not for tattoos, cannabis, opinions, class... but I delete them If I see they post nasty things. Life can be nasty enough. Or if they just make fun of others..   I am determined NOT to judge  by physical appearances.  I have been fat, I have dressed like a slob, I have dressed like a 'slut'.. long hair, short hair, purple hair.  We all go through our own stages for many different reasons. I want to try to see the person. 
Anyhow- LOL - I have asked a friend to help with FB; she goes by I Believe.. And I believe she is a nice person, she has always be with me. She is interesting (as is her best bud), friendly and positive and BELIEVES in something. It is hard for me to ask for help.
I am glad I did and she said SURE!  
I have such good real life friends, they remind me daily I am loved. 
Who could ask for anything more.  
Time to toon!  MUST DRAW!!  It is all I seem to want to do lately.  IT is the only thing that I really enjoy doing,  that and spending time with my family.  Not that I've had an invite from Jeremy to go fishing, or with Brad to visit the New New Orleans...  But right now I'm pretty content.     I am exactly where he wants me to be. ;-)
