Yesterday- I spent the day with an octopus - and will for the better part of this day!
As I started to draw the tentacles - each twisting, turning, and holding a mushroom - I lost count over and over. Is it - just me? Try it.. let's see. lol Holy! I had to take a break and step back to count. Why? I'm not sure. I was drawing mushrooms - I have an idea of some cute cards - then I was drawing 'this', before I even realized- the other still not complete.
It had been a productive day, Poppy and I went for a walk! It was +6 but the wind was cold and my face ached when we returned, I practically ran from my bong when returned home. Once medicated I sat until I felt better and was up painting again!
I think a great children's book would be "I can play by myself you know!"
With an Octopus of course - who never gets bored - he doesn't know how... of course reading a book for enjoyment does not qualify as boredom. That head can clearly handle it all.
They are my mental challenge, where as drawing passerines is purely pleasure.
My first ETSY sale has me inspired! I decided with each original that goes out from now - will get an added 'GT' touch. Green ribbon & bit of tape holds everything into place! I think I might switch it up at times just for fun. With my first purchase went a couple of little unexpected gifts for a THANK you to my first official order! I am sure "he ' will be pleased.
It certainly was unexpected - I mean - yes, you open an Etsy store hoping to sell - but when I saw that first announcement from Etsy - it felt good! I will continue to load more images as I paint them, a series called 'Kitty in the Grass' and possibly some more Fungi stuff! Stay tooned.
Today I'm thinking about my friend Todd - making him a valentine to send to prison tomorrow. Geez, my heart will feel better when Todd is home again... How detrimental to society as a whole to put humans in prison from growing plants. No just people, good guys like my friend Todd. Not a day goes by I don't think of him and his family. I mailed out a letter today.
If it will make his days lighter, put a smile n his face. I can do it!

What can and will you do today to make someone heart feel lighter?
