4/20 2014
O.k. I know it’s a bit early to be talking about 4/20 but it will be here before you know it!
I’m hoping a couple of people mark their calendar and come and say hello!
I will be at Conspiracy Culture Book Store in Toronto! I am terribly excited!
My first official exhibit and show - not in my kitchen! As it turns out the owner of the book store learned about my work from my friend David - one of my favorite people on this planet. David was also responsible for Laughing Buddha & Zen Kitty to come to life in Glass! Patrick, the owner of Conspiracy Culture became a fan and asked if I would be interested in having an exhibit at the store for 2 months!
As exciting as it was, I did not have anything framed and could not afford to have that many pieces framed, Christmas just was just around the corner. Sure enough I was at Kat’s Gallery - a long time friend and I was telling my other friend about the book store and Kat said, she would frame my work for the show and not to worry about $ until after, no worries! I even had another friend in the city offer to pay for all framing and I could pay them back after the show! LOL - It all just started to fall into place. I guess it was meant to be.
The hardest part was choosing the art- once again, all originals and they get harder to part with each time. At the same time to think they will be shared and enjoyed- well that is what we are to do. Better being loved than on a self collecting dust ;) I get such a kick when I see someone has framed a post card!
The book store - Conspiracy Culture! The moment I checked out the website

RIGHT ON! I LOVE IT!!! hahaha! I’m going to be in my glory! As will Storm and Norm we find all this so interesting and all love books. My favorite thing already:
"Patrick makes a point not to censor any of the material he brings into the shop, even carrying content we may not particularly agree with because we feel all viewpoints must be considered in order to grow or broaden one’s perspective."
Look at the lesson we should all be learning with Cannabis alone. Educate yourself.
Come to your own conclusion.
There are many more details but this is what you need to know most! And the fact that I will be giving FREE Cartooning Lessons! Paper and Crayons will be provided! No experience necessary! I've taught many a 5 year old so don't be afraid! All you need is your imagination. More tomorrow...
There are not enough hours in a day it seems lately.
