PIN

I would be lost without PIN , well o.k. not lost but it sure makes life fun!
How cool if I want to see and research and octopus- I can at the tip of my fingers! Not like the good ol' days, get dressed, go to the library, find as many books as i could and take..from there - the days already 1/2 gone.
Now, I'm up, coffee, not dressed- well -undies are o.k., office attire on a 26 degree morning in Canada!  I'm pinning lions for Duke's thank you card, mailed out later today with a  few postcards! ;)

I use it to craft, clean, cook, gouache better!  Draw better. THERE are no excuses- you will  spend your day reading what others are doing or you will spend it educating yourself on a topic you already love - the trick is to shut down and do it.  I can get caught up in PIN.
It is my 'I'm too tired to draw go to and 'time waster as well.
I follow a few and I unfollow too, only because I really want to focus sometimes and PINs can get me off focus. Moderation.
My art has improved because of the internet, I'm grateful for it!

A few of my friends comment "I don't get it.." so here is PIN in 10 easy  visual steps (you are welcome) quick steps. Want to bake better cakes - use PIN - NOW wait... I have a friend who said  "I get overwhelmed at all the great work I see on PIN and then don't try..." well that problem is with the person not PIN. The only way to get better at anything is to do it all the time. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, when I had my studio PepeLepew was painted saying those words for the hundreds of kids who passed through my studio doors!
Because 7 out of 10 asked me: How do I draw like you?

PIN have fun! look me up! Comment on one of my recent PINs and I will see it there!
I probably won't react- I'm usually on researching a drawing.
Have fun.. Moderation.

Have faith

Don't believe me?

For those that  also watched the Dr. Gupta special - he discusses it there also.

I highly recommend it.

So while you are teaching your kids to draw Zombies - it is a great time to have a cannabis conversation! THE truth.

The best gifts we already own.
Health.
Imagination.
Faith.
Strength.
Creativity.
Talent...    the list is endless.
We just have to remember to use them from time to time.
Re Gift!  The ultimate re-gift when you share your talent with others.
Merry Christmas. xox <><

I decided to see if  sex sells... I made this card and will post and see how many shares it gets, see if it is more of a hit than last years leaf in a wreath.
 Tis the season.
It does depend on where you live.
It does depend which state you are in.
State of mind.

The art of letting Go...

My mom returned from vacation and brought me a gift she thought I might enjoy. She was right.
Buddha Board:
http://www.buddhaboard.com/
Let Go!
The buddha board is not about detail it is about creation, fun and letting go. When I tried to do a detailed drawing ... well by the time I was at one side the other was drying! LOL
- It forced me to KEEP it simple. It is also hard to resist. I have mine on my back deck and all who see must try.  You do NOT have to be an artist! Yet everything you draw has that oriental flair to it!
I try daily to get rid of Stuff.  I have enough stuff but I can say I love this gift, I use it all the time and it is just as much fun to watch your drawing magically disappear as it was drawing it. It forces me to relax as I watch it fade - turning into other ideas as it goes.
Below are my photos of my Buddha board as it faded. It is a gift for all ages IMO, I will keep it with a camera so guests can take a photo of their creation.  So perhaps you know someone who needs to  relax with a little zen..   xox <><

O.K., I KNOW I am for sure giving my age away but to this day - I Love Saturday mornings! BUGS BUNNY!?  Much like comfort food - if I feel I am in need of a comfort day - it usually consists of P.J.'s and Warner Brother classic cartoons. As a kid I lived for Cartoons  on Saturday mornings. Fat Albert - hey hey hey! So I had this idea to celebrate Saturday morning cartoons - to celebrate life, I start every Saturday doing what I love.  A cartoon.
This is it! Come toon with me!  Every Saturday I'm going to post a how to toon toon!  I will try to keep them simple - heck I have been teaching kids for years and they loved it (as did I) so why not!? Have some fun!  I will post a new Lesson on FB and on this page every week. GRAPE APE and the KOOL Aid jar! What would you like to learn how to draw?? E me, perhaps it will be the next weeks lesson! (Keep it clean please).  ALSO E me your drawing
-if you try! Your results! I'm going to post them the following week on my blog  (just photos -no names or info) and I'll pick a winner - My comic book signed - mailed anywhere! ;-)))
So! TiMe to have some fun use that creative part of the brain!
*REMEMBER I do this all the time. IT won't be as good as mine - at first (perhaps it will) The idea is to LET loose! HAVE  fun!! Learn how to draw!
xox Georgia
-I am also starting a page on this www.  - Time to Toon! - cartoons for anyone who wants to use them at some other time. Thanks for the Inspiration!

GIGGLES Galore!

I got to do one thing that I love to do today - Teach kids cartooning!
With a simple warm up, drawing exercise- the laughter grew each time we "pass it left" (funny how you see so many, not sure of the left! LIKE me to this day!)  Kids have great imaginations. Although our drawings do not look exactly a like, they are pretty close!
Imagine with continued encouragement what could happen! They would be better then me in no time.
GASP!!  I'm putting myself out of business..

To have a kid come up and tell me at the end of the class - 'you're better then the book I got from the Library.'      LOL

They thank me...
I thank them.

I can't wait to relax and draw tonight.

Hello! Finally a new website. Simple and to the point. I plan on uploading new cartoons daily so keep coming back to check them out. All my work is available to purchase.

I am currently working on a book Have Faith - a series of Happy Hippie cartoons that also (hopefully) will educate the 'newbie'  I will be at the TY EXPO http://medicalmarijuana-hempexpo.com
July 16th -18th 2010. I will have some framed originals to purchase as well as some neat creative stuff!

I have re-opened my studio and love teaching kids to draw! It is my idea of fun. Kids can be so creative. That's it for now! Back to the drawing board.
Thanks for visiting. Have Faith...
