It was time for a Laughing Buddha.
Just fun, just draw...
Just breathe.
I want to inhale all the good stuff and keep it deep inside, bring it into my soul.
I will exhale the bullshit- I have no room for it.
An added bonus is while coloring this toon, this a.m.,
I had a wonderful conversation with my son about all of it. It is all we can do.
Why hold on to anger, hate and darkness... it only makes us sick, distracted and tired.
Been there, done that and I am tired of it.
I shall hang this visual reminder above my desk!  Unless someone who really needs it, contacts me.... we all need reminders.  I hope it is shared, simply to provide others of a visual reminder they might need too...  Inhale the good `shit and exhale the bad shit'
- a Zen kitty version of this toon on the way .... ;-)     Have an AWESOME day and remember to EXHALE <3  xox

JUST SAY NO!
No - to a slow and painful death.

DID YOU KNOW:  The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) urges doctors to prescribe non-GMO diets for all patients.
They cite animal studies showing organ damage, gastrointestinal and immune system disorders, accelerated aging, and infertility. Human studies show how genetically modified (GM) food can leave material behind inside us, possibly causing long-term problems. Genes inserted into GM soy, for example, can transfer into the DNA of bacteria living inside us, and that the toxic insecticide produced by GM corn was found in the blood of pregnant women and their unborn fetuses.
Numerous health problems increased after GMOs were introduced in 1996. The percentage of Americans with three or more chronic illnesses jumped from 7% to 13% in just 9 years; food allergies skyrocketed, and disorders such as autism, reproductive disorders, digestive problems, and others are on the rise. Although there is not sufficient research to confirm that GMOs are a contributing factor, doctors groups such as the AAEM tell us not to wait before we start protecting ourselves, and especially our children who are most at risk.
The American Public Health Association and American Nurses Association are among many medical groups that condemn the use of GM bovine growth hormone, because the milk from treated cows has more of the hormone IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1)―which is linked to cancer. *taken from the care2.com  website. There are so many links on this topic - I thought this was the simplest.

Below is the TOP 10 worst GMO foods! NOW you know!! I read :
"A $46 million ad campaign by Monsanto, DuPont, and the food industry succeeded, claiming that labeling would be a major inconvenience that would raise costs and food prices."
They both have FB pages. I asked people to go and comment, Ask questions and demand answers! Do not go and be nasty or name call- post facts ask them to explain,
over and over.  If everyone did this it would make many at least start to THIN
END the GMO shit before we start to hear all the "I told you so...." or before we produce the next generation that won't be able to produce another.

Sterile. It is already on the increase in Males around the world... Hmmmmmmmm

We are more than > $46 million!
***WE have MORE! We all have hearts, we all NEED food and we all deserve to be
Healthy & Happy! We are Richer than Monsanto ♥
HURT them where it matters most! $$$
Stop paying for poison.
DO not buy the top 10. They are bad for you!
Believe and Make a change!

Sorry about the fowl language...
I feel THIS toon needs to get attention!
Killing us with corn?  There are worse names.
Care! Share!  Educate.  xox <><

Such a powerful quote, and for me, an emotional toon.
Thank you  Malcom X .

I don't always draw at my desk, as a matter of fact the 'first sketch' seem to come more lately in my 'chair'.  My little comfort zone in the living room (my other work area) complete with  tools and portable drawing board, ready to create! I usually end up there when tired but not to tired to think  and never too tired to draw!

I read the quote and started to doodle..  I knew in my head the idea I wanted to get across.  The "every heart break" hit me.  I think when we say 'Heart break' - we think of LOVE, relationships that do not work. Before I knew it, I looked down at my paper, I see I drew another kind of heart break.
I  became emotional, when I realized what I had drawn.  Me
I even had the staples on the head.   Heart break does not just come when we lose someone we love, (including pets) from death or a bad relationship.

Anytime anything is close to our heart, something we feel passionate about,  is threatened, harmed even just disappointed.. our hearts can feel broken.
Every LOSS.  That, I believe is the hardest to overcome.
It breaks my heart when I hear about someone that is suffering, sick  and has to FIGHT, defend and WORRY about what makes them feel better.
Then... I hear or read that they die.
People who I have met, become friends with, no longer stories just in the  news.
They die fighting for what they believe in.
Yes, technically it is cancer, HIV or some other terrible disease that kills them - but they die fighting for Cannabis - because they understand how it helps ease their pain!  A plant.
I have wondered sometimes, If I'd be better without the added stress that Cannabis has introduced at times into our lives... but, that only happens when some BULLSHIT starts, with changing rules and sending people to jail for GARDENING.

Everyday I see my son. I know he is sore but he is functioning, working and keeps busy - all because of Cannabis.  A plant.  My stress with Cannabis I will embrace  for this reason alone. It suddenly becomes a very small stress, when I  do not have to worry about my son in pain or getting side effects from long term 'man made' pain medications.  That adversity makes me say: BRING IT!

Then the new twist. My head. I woke up this morning in pain. I usually do. My head. Same spot. I lay there and felt heart broken.  I started to get teary - oh no... no- it's going to be a long day. I forced myself up. Went into my office and  loaded my bong.  *I know some of you find this hard to believe (friends and family perhaps that do not use or fully understand) but, I had that puff, went and sat down and within 3 minutes the pain was gone. My twitch slowed. I got up made my son some breakfast, had a laugh at his new 'Pet Robin' and got to work. I have no doubt in my mind and from past experience, without Cannabis I'd still be in bed feeling sorry for myself and crying and in pain.

God works in mysterious ways.  I won't pretend I'm always thrilled or understand,  but the other quote that keeps coming to mind:
If he leads you to it - He will bring you through it.
He is. With His plant.

Awesome to look- not to clean ;-)
How to clean your bong...
Why? Because I did not know when I first got my bong, and it matters.  There are many factors now, that matter to me that I did not even comprehend in the beginning.
One: Some Bongs are awesome to look at - but come time to clean them - GOOD LUCK!
That being said... I love an easy to clean bong.
If it is not easy, I find I won't do it as often.
I clean our bongs every couple of days.
Again, I'm  mom first and I like Storm to be using a clean bong. Have you seen how quickly the water gets dirty?
It does amuse me, that I think like this.. lol - had you told me Id' be cleaning my son's bongs for him  a few years ago I might have said  "Not on your life!"
I've been educated ;-) Thank God ;-)
Yes, there are cleaners available on the market and Yes, I have tried a few, they are easy; pour, shake and pour = clean bong, but they can be expensive.
Then I was using alcohol and salt, but I'm not happy with that stuff going down the drain all the time, and it is also costly.
My way is CHEAP & easy, it takes a little longer is all.
It is your BONG! Your health! Treat it like the medicine delivering tool that it is.
Keep it clean.   It always tastes better with fresh water as well. Here are my step by step instructions for cleaning your bong! You can do it!
Keep it clean!

Supplies needed:
Kettle of hot, boiled water
Dawn dish soap (any dish soap, I use dawn -BLUE also helps at flea season ;-)
Bottle scrubber (about $3.00) most stores
Oven Mitt
Coffee cup
Pipe cleaners
Cloth to sit in sink.

I'd like to add,  it was a little bird that whispered in my ear how to clean my bong.
His name was Martin of ROOR. I believe if anyone has experience with bongs.. It's him ;-)
I'm grateful he did.  The bong being cleaned is one of Storms ROOR bongs, mine in the final photo, it was a gift from my friend Marco - when I had too much botox (pain not vain) and could not smoke any other way. It it nothing fancy but I honestly love it: Wide base -does not tip easy, easy to clean.

The art show is on the weekend. I am excited.
I am no longer in it, I feel terrible for canceling but It can't be helped. Really,  I have some days that are harder than others and I have no control, It tired to hol doff as long as I could before I pulled out.  I planned the show before my surgery! LOL Making sure I had a reason to return. I thought for sure I would be fine and back to normal - well normal is taking longer than expected. I find, I can't promise to be anywhere or even do anything unless my mind choses to co-operate ;-)  On bad days I have pain issues as well.  So, until I can promise to be somewhere, I don't think it is fair of me to guarantee I will be somewhere I might not.
I am still going to help and go and hang out! Why not!?
I know each of these individuals and they are so talented! They are also friends.
Friends helping each other and that is what I want to be all about.

I hope to see some other friends too! It plans on being a beautiful weekend!

*  I already had someone ask me if I will cancel the EXPO -
NO. Hotel is booked and I am looking forward to a weekend in the city, I also have friends helping me at the show, I know so I can take as many breaks as I need ;-)

I'll admit I thought you could get high licking the toad.
I did a cartoon about it a while back &  someone educated me on the facts.
I am so glad he did because I find it really funny that you don't lick the toad you milk it.
I have another toon already in the works.

What is a drug?
There will always be a drug. We can't ban, prohibit or kill off everything that is.  To say Cannabis is one of the most dangerous, is just lies.
Just like I was told not to lick toads!
Not that that was ever a concern of anyones. I was also told 'not to eat the little black berries- they would make me sick and die,'  and I never did.  I was told not to drink too much - but did time and time again.
I am ALSO sure at some point, I was told that smoking marijuana was going to fry my brain.  My brain feeling a little fried these days,  the only thing that seems to help me is Cannabis! Thank God for small miracles.
It is a small miracle on this planet FULL OF PLANTS, that can make us feel better or poison us. I read in  places where few plants grow - like Alaska - the people there would 'get high' by air deprivation, and spinning.  Cannabis is safer.

Where there is a will there is a way.

Just like people creating bongs out of apples and pineapples.

Time to stop treating people like criminals, educate them. It is human nature/desire to alter the brain and mood, some will learn how to milk a toad - me... no.
I will stick to Cannabis, perhaps a buddha beer from time to time.
Moderation people   ❤❤❤

April fool!
Too bad it is no joke..
This is not an original idea.
I was inspired by an image I saw, and of course this is what came to mind.
It is how I feel.

Apparently people even now, are still getting permission to grow.
Is Health Canada lining up all it's ducks in a row for when they want to TAKE away licenses?  Are we all just sitting ducks?
How can this still be happening, when they claim the entire reason they will be removing is for criminal activity, yet more permits are issued... I know, I am NOT the only one confused. Health Canada is probably hoping we are all 'dazed and confused'.
That is not happening. I see less confused and dazed every day, all around.
DO NOT become a sitting duck or An April FOOL!
Pay attention, take notes and stand up for what you believe in.
xox <><

The only criminal activity I see happening is on the part of Health Canada and the MMAR Program.

Today is Good Friday.

A day to celebrate and awesome, righteous man.  A day sadly where we are asked to remember a terrible, traumatic, nasty death.  Good Friday.

Good for us. He have been forgiven.

I saw a post today of all days - something about religions fighting wars about ‘fictional characters’. It was a smart ass comment, the last thing I believe God wants - is his children killing each other.   So that comment got me thinking...

Who is a fictional character, well in my mind when someone tells me we have a Prime Minister  of Canada - My mind thinks (USE to), someone that cares for his country , the land and the people. A passionate man, Strong and true, to keep us Glorious and Free!! - Yes that is my fine Canadian mind at work. So then we have . S.T.  who is nothing like that. To me he has become a fictional character.  Just Like George Bush probably has become to many - not the Man they hoped would rise above, Stand beside her, and guide her. Through the night with a light from above. From the mountains, to the prairies,To the oceans, white with foam. NO, not G.W. Jr.
So you tell me, who is a fictional character?  The men that lie to us?
That is fiction. They are NOT who they appear to be.

Jesus was a man, the perfect man. IMO.
Who was murdered for no reason. For doing, saying and being what he was. He was not hurtful, jealous, greedy, selfish.
It is a lesson of LOVE like no other.

So if you want to say it is fiction, that is fine. In my mind He is and always will be, the best example/role model of a human being I am aware of.
Fictional or real.

It is a sad day.  Very unfair.  Like life can feel.
I do not focus on the sad, I focus on the LOVE and HOPE that Easter brings.
One Love.
