What a year it's been..
Thank you Trump for pushing many to the point of speaking up - against you.
Times person of the year. It's time. #metoo
How refreshing to finally believe there is hope for women, especially young women.
There will always be predators, sexual predators will use their power, influence & money to use & hurt others.. it's going to come with serious ramifications. Exposure & loss of business, no one wants to be 'associated' with this old school pervert mentality, many are ashamed to admit they were even friends with Weinstein.
It does not mater if you did it then or now, Women are getting wiser at proving abuse - why... we are forced to. I know of someone who' I was told is being watched by a detective now, it's expensive but will be worth every penny when it comes time for the lawsuit. 2018 will be about exposing the rest of the pack'.. not just in the hollywood industry. It looks like "Sorry..." isn't going to cut it either as we are watching unfold with VICE - why should it. It goes beyond sexual harassment - it is also be about being treated poorly, ignored, paid less for the same if not better work - black balled - simply because women decline advances & refuse or participate in this mindset while 'working'. It's great VICE is NOW bringing on women advocates - allowing the 'leaders of the pack' to remain does not help reassure it won't happen again due to the clearly displayed behaviour & (for decades) mentality of these high profile predators. It sounds like the bullshit women had to endure at VICE was endless. As expected I've heard whispers in the cannabis industry of the proposed "Weinstein(s) of weed..." let's wait and see, if it's true than it's only a matter of time. As soon as the ban with non-dislclsures goes thought - which it will and should - YIKES... Head are gonna roll.
Cannabis in 2017 has been all the talk in Canada- and will continue to be in 2018!
Today, I read of a woman employee the TTC has said should go back to OXY instead of cannabis- Hello ? HUMAN rights- she has her own lawyer, she will win. I for one have issues taking medics as she does- Pills knock me out, make me feel sick -yet they have no problem her continuing her job taking proven deadly, additive narcotics- for the record- I don't think I'd like the driver of a bus- or subway using anything, since it is for her pain- I know how it's effecting her- it's allowing her to function. To FORCE us to take one medication instead of another is abusing our human rights. I guess we will have to have all these "first time" court cases to set things straight.
The TTC needs to focus on preventing any & all 'drivers' from being impaired on any substance. Any job that is responsible for the lives of others- pilot, bus drivers, taxi drivers, surgeons - I don't want them impaired - do you?
It's 'no brainer'. isn't it ?
I finally sat down and read many articles about cannabis, I've been overwhelmed - now I have a list of drawings to work on for the new year - I am in agreement with much of what is being proposed regarding children, the rest is going to be all about education and -not for Children but for Parents. Every purchase by 'new clients' should be accompanied with a sheet on simple cannabis education.
Read it, sign it.. go home and be a responsible cannabis consumer.
I'm excited to start drawing & painting .. now it's just finding the time.
Up next a little new years eve painting and my predictions & painting plans for 2018
