Now tell me who do you think invented this word. Probably NOT a woman.
I've been called a slut several times over, in several cases by someone I was intimate with.
Why would I go out with anyone who called me a slut? They did this when I wanted to end the relationship. When they were hurt. I use to be hurt by such words. Not now..
I was called Slut by family members while I was still a virgin and after. lol *This is not rare- I know this NOW. It's quite common for a mom to call a daughter a slut. Usually based out of fear.. fear we don't "screw up our lives".. Woman have called me slut when their boyfriend has glanced my way- not knowing anything about me including my name.
So define slut. Men who made advances and I ignored/declined called me Slut the easiest.
Again, women can not win, if we ignore it - were are sluts, if we dress freely - (not to everyone else standards, we can be considered sluts" If we flaunt our bodies? what the heck?
This stemmed from a remark I read on IG. There where 3 photos of Melania- looking provocative in a bikini, I read the comments and someone remarked how Michelle Obama was in the press in a negative way for wearing a sleeveless dress'. - and now we see this. Someone 'Frank' suggested the photos were "slut shaming". I read Ho Ho Ho and thought: yep 'Tis the season. All about Gold and sex and the female body... Like every other day.
What was 'slut shaming' about that post? The only one who mentioned the word the "SLUT" was the person who accused the other of 'Slut shaming..' so define slut.
Storm aske me this as he sees the cartoon I'm working on.
My reply:
" What a woman gets called when she behaves like most men. "
That is the more accurate 'current' definition of what a SLUT should be. No more no less.
If anyone calls you a slut ladies- young and old- Hold your head high, it usually comes from jealousy, anger or fear and little KNOWN truth about the actual person you are.
Define anything at this point.. the times they are a changing.
No woman is a "slut" for displaying HER body ever.
Gold Diggers- that's another story, they exist but it comes back to haunt them sooner or later. Sleeping with people just for advancement? The sun the moon and the truth all come out sooner or later. EVEN if a woman is a gold digger- it is not cause for a man to abuse.
If you have to flash your cash to get women- you get what you pay for.
A woman is called a 'gold digger'.. a man doing the same would be called "advancing his career.. we can't win when others don't play fair. We can't win when we are not equal.
We remain angry when we are treated poorly.
