I found this article interesting.
https://lifeinsurancepost.com/8-ways-social-media-raises-insurance-rates/
it discusses social media' and the impact it can have on our lives in other ways.
It can be negative as we learn from the news, people meeting dangerous people online, we don't really need social media for that to happen but it's becoming more prevalent each day.
Someone was telling me recently- someone they knew was told by their current insurance company - ' insure their home side business ' (the husband is a welder) or they would cancel his insurance. Apparently they were made aware of the side business by a sign he had posted on his front lawn and it was seen with google.
He had to sell off his equipment or get the insurance or his current insurance would no longer qualify. What next?
We stopped the Halloween display after we learned about how much insurance would have been for the little side hobby'. HUGE $$ to have a Halloween display for strangers to enjoy. Why? We were informed- had anyone ever fallen in the display, have a heart attack- you never know- we could have been sued and lost our home. People were frightened - enough to pee themselves! People said 'don't worry about it', 'you're over reacting..' really? When does one worry- when they are in court? Or try to avoid it in the first place.
We put our home up TWICE to help others get out of prison. To make sure they did not skip town- they did not, but I will never do it again - neither really appreciated/understood what we did for them. One is back in prison and the other I never heard from again.
I'm glad I could help at the time, hindsight- I won't do it again.
It's stressful- stress for trying to help others'- for negative actions I did not commit. ?
Nope. Done.
Reading another interesting article today- advises you before yo apply for that job- clean up your FB, twitter - can someone explain that to TRUMP? Instagram.. it is how most potential employers check you out.
Have a peek at your social media and give thought to your posts..
