Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal!!
I'm excited- no, cabin fever has not kicked in. There's snow everywhere the chickens like to stay in the coop & Goats in the barn - occasionally you'll see someone strolling around... it's an absolute beautiful winter wonderland outside - and amusing to see a chickens walking in snow - I think so. The coop is super warm & the goats help heat the barn 3 is actually perfect. I would NOT de-horn a goat, that being said I understand it at petting zoos.
My goat lessons: Goats head butt sometimes very softly - it's a show of playfulness' because the horns are rounded it doesn't really hurt BUTT when/if tiny Nugget head butted right now- it might easily puncture a child's head, adult or dog, they are growing very fast, she's very tame but even play can have accidents. Sativa does not like Poppy - Poppy does not like the goats, she's not permitted in the pen anymore, she head butts them! Oh my, have you ever seen your dog rolled by a goat? You don't want to.
The dogs love snow mostly - not the short ones who's nipples drag in the snow.
Thank God for Parkas!
We are watching, I'm painting 'Christmas Movies'.
-12, tomorrow - I think we'll watch 2! They do put me in the mood, to draw.
No twisting Norms arm, he loves Christmas movies & will watch - I have to remind him:
Get to work', stuff doesn't build itself... lol when, I'm watching the 2nd time while sketching ideas to paint. Fortunately, even Norm thanks me when he looks around NOW and see's how much we accomplished (one summer) with persistance & enthusiasm!
Both feeling slightly tired now, probably because of the snow sending us into 'hibernation mode' we look forward to the movies & cocoa by the fire. Peace on Earth and good will.
It feels like it takes a bit of work at the moment.
We still have our moments of short arguments and about the 'craziest SUFF' like snowblowers! Hahah- I bet I'm not the first wife up here especially, to argue about snowblowers. The stuff he says - I think the only way to deal with it 'positively', it is a comic strip from time to time. I'll start it in the new year. Today, I'll sketch some... that will be fun - I 'pen in' entertainment, it-s very important & sketching is fun.
Currently there's a news ban 'here' as TN pain has escalated the past couple of weeks (go figure), constant confusion & death counts rising in the news. It's difficult also not feeling forlorn for our friends & family at times, my good friend Linda lost her brother, her good friend & her dad this year, I thank God, she's strong, although still very heartbroken. Imagine the numbers grieving globally, like her who have had to deal with so much human LOSS in one year.
Christmas is just another day (again) this year, surviving the season without getting sick, we have little reason to go out other than for grocories. I am happy to admit 'I look after my mental health as importatnly as physical health. We have enough to keep us occupied lately, staying home is never a problem.
Can you guess which movie inspired the above painting 'Ya filthy animal!
Have a terrific weekend!
