Which is your preferred Witch?
I have 3, their order might change depending on my mood.
Witch Hazel from Bewitched Bunny is the first that comes to mind, terrified me when tiny. Created 10 years before I was born. I think of her first… now with amusement & laughter. Witch Hazel (named after the herb) flies high over the harvested herb.. Heehee! I call this painting: By the light of the moon.
Chuck Jones, another cartoonist, animator not afraid to let loose. Watching Warner brother cartoons or Disney, Hanna Barbara.. or any other classic cartoon creators and watching them again now from an adult perspective, can be quite awakening on many levels. Bugs I find, is always entertaining regardless of the occasion.
While painting, I’m learning about ‘Orenda’, beautiful word and fascinating education on it’s history - listening to: The Secret History of America, By Manly P Hall. Interesting accounts I certainly was never aware of, it has me thinking from a different perspective of what we thought of ‘America’s History’.
It’s chilly & windy and soon the leaves will be gone- it makes the night sky more visible & beautiful… I don’t see leaves as I drift off, instead the sky glitters with stars. It reminds me before I sleep, to give thanks to God for such an entertaining show every evening.
It’s all about perspective.
