Weeeeee! ...Is not the sentiment we are hearing from Montreal, Muskoka, Ottawa & Bracebridge.. as they all evacuate their homes. Yikes. Talk about timing when I have been scouting for a new home, in some of these areas.. looking at elevated property & I'll definitely look into an amphibian house if close to the water or if having one built.
I know from tales told how much flooding damage does & the wait to have it repaired is worse - if you can, you should remove all drywall & wet floors (everything below the wet line) as soon as possible - some of these houses are almost completely under.
Please be careful when you look into renovators as they will be in great demand & not all are reliable or trustworthy, especially if they get offered more money for another job in the middle of yours- lead us not into temptation - it happens.
I woke up and drew 15 new Weeeeeeeed Cards - sketched before the blue jays announced they arrived for breakfast! Weeeeeee & now I'm painting!
We are moving, Norm is painting as I type... this house is two big for the two of us, it should be full of children like all the houses around us (understandably) - like it was for us when we first moved here 27 year ago! The pool never gets used by anyone' but the dogs & the rooms sit empty, collect duct & stuff & we don't need anymore stuff' - we are downsizing. I'm looking for a bungalow! As much as I like kids... I don't need to see or hear them all day & with 3 schools all with-in walking distance - it is inevitable - time to relocate. I've already had a Realestate friend through and was quite pleased at the anticipated possibilities & appraisal before it's even painted, apparently 'Deep Sky Blue bathrooms with monkeys handing hand towels murals' & Kermit the Frog Green' kitchens are not all the rage.. lol & a mural in the other bathroom now being sanded off. The walls in the basement apartment being transformed into boring beige & a new floor which truth be told- kinda pisses me off- I've wanted a new floor down there forever- It's being done Now that we are moving. oh well... I'm o.k. with it all, I am ready for Change.
I say this & then remind myself to breath deep as I look at all that needs packed.
If you don't hear from me - I'll be moving & have promised MYSELF not to add any stress by attempting to keep up with a blog or social media while I do all else. ;)
It would be a good time if anyone has seen a piece of art they are interested in as I might sell it so I don't have to move it! lol The journey continues- could be 2 weeks 2 months- but change is coming - Yippie!!! It's slightly stressful so I'm keeping busy by painting & card creating. Feeling Forever Grateful for the new card company this sweet little bud keep me giggling all day long.. Today Weeeeeeeeed! ....It's Spring Time Bike riding weather!!
