Unexpected company.. I’m not fond of it.
This does not make me ‘antisocial’ as some might presume, on the contrary - I value & appreciate my time alone. I enjoy my own company, with dogs, books & a paint brush. Thankfully. I am aware of my passion to paint, created to create & know how to amuse & appease my own mind. It took a while, to get ‘HERE’.
It’s invite only, covid bull & a few other issues also made this decision for ‘invited only company’ easier
& even 'if' invited, I need to know the :When?
Contemplating ‘company’, especially ‘unexpected visitors, like at the gate last week... If painting or praying, I don’t want to be disturbed. I get distracted (of course) & if paint brushes are left sitting in acrylic paint.. there goes a good brush, good brushes are not cheap, or easily available.
I’m picky with who I invite to socialize with, for me & my dogs… and canvas awaits. I never paint when expecting company. Anyhow, before I could really dwell too much on the topic, a ‘calmness’ washed over & a thought soothed my mind.
If you are here, it is because God introduced us.
God knows who & why someone/something is placed on our path. Just as I finished this painting, I went outside to more unexpected company! & enjoyed it. I hope everyone who leaves ‘here’ feels a little more joyful, hopeful… loved.
