It poured most of yesterday & all night, I love rain, love seeing it and listening to it. Grateful for it.
I noticed when I looked up from book, I had a tiny visitor! I went to say hello & this sweet little creature sat long enough for a short conversation, let me pet it - before flying off. A portrait was requested - so, thats' who I'll paint today.
God sends me birds, I'm convinced... especially on days when I feel a bit blue.
The timing was perfect as I was thinking of how much I missed Bird'... Isn't it incredible how such tiny creatures can make such a huge impact in our lives? More than most realize. I sensed this little bird was a baby and was sitting where he wasn't getting rained on. He had no fear of me & I was able to take a few photos & get him as he flew off on video.

With the rain will arrive even more mushrooms. Yesterday, I found a lovely bunch of edible oyster mushrooms waiting to be added to an omelette.. I notice the smallest chicken has taken a dislike to Ginger who is twice her size, it is amusing to see Ginger run from this tiny bird with big attitude. My dogs have a gift for photobombing & it makes me laugh when I notice them in the photos, usually not until I see them on my computer. It's going to rain again today - do you know what that means? - It's a great day to paint!!
