Years ago when it was announced a cannabis company bought the Hershey's chocolate factory - I thought : How cool is that? hee hee hee! Weeeeeee & instantly I thought of Willy Wonka! lol It's probably my age & I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought this way... it was perfect. Is perfect - what a great start to the Canadian cannabis journey!
Tweed is the company and I've no doubts they are celebrating this past week plus.
A cannabis company in a chocolate factory - with EDIBLES soon available in Canada - next April, I read Tweed is opening a chocolate factory! It makes me laugh just thinking about it, and let's face it - you know they will do it right! I LOVE medicate dark chocolate, I love all medicate chocolate- white, milk and dark. Oompa Loompa revival! Wouldn't it be fun if all the trimmers had to wear Ompa loompa costumes (fun for us not them) - lol, so it really was no struggle for me to paint this- quite the opposite, imagining all the Oompa Loompas trimming the weed as they sing was very enjoyable.
I've done my share of trimming, it's work.
The downfall was I can't get the song out of my head now...
"Oompa loompa doopity dooo.. I have some fresh trimmed bud for you!"
Anyway - a friend calls me a 'traitor' simply for painting this- to which I say: Phhhhhbt....
It's time Canada for celebration all around - who cares 'who' is doing what! As long as it's getting done & by Canadians - making history! There are options NOW available to all - some will have incredible experiences some not so much- this happens everywhere in every business. Tweed also saved a small town - once the chocolate factory is open I bet tourism will be booming again! I HOPE our own mayor is paying attention when deciding wether or not to even allow a dispensary- if you don't YOU are throwing cash to other towns. You are also FORCING your own community to drive impaired, having to go elsewhere for goods & services & shopping.. and eating.
The only 'ones' I do not support in the industry are those who were previous pill pushers making millions off of deadly drugs - now turned cannabis supporters, I would also not encourage anyone to buy from Shoppers Drug mart- remember when they said cannabis was a serious mistake.. I do. Do some research- where you put your money is where you place your faith. Faith in great product & company & PEOPLE who run them.
I've never purchased from Tweed (or anyplace else) my son looks after me, but I do know several who work(ed) for the company & they are all outstanding in their field - haha so when people ask me- I mention a few places including Tweed - come on ! A chocolate factory!?? What's not cool & fun about that fact alone!? I hope all hardworking, kind, compassionate people do well in this industry - I don't care who they work for.
It's that simple.
& if ever get out that way- I would love to visit the Chocolate factory turned cannabis factory! I'm grateful Tweed helped change history and educates many just like every other cannabis advocate. It's time to celebrate! This painting was pure pleasure - and had me giggling just to think of sharing it with a few friends who work there- lol I hope they have fun with the chocolate factory. Perhaps NOT 'lickable wall paper - but how about scratch & sniff your favourite bud? Everlasting gobstoppers - I'm excited to see what they create!
Does anyone remember Moe's medibles - man that was good chocolate!! One time I had a strawberry dipped in a chocolate fountain- it was the best ride home that day.. Storm was laughing at me the entire way.
Oh Canada - I love you.
Dear America VOTE - so I can love you again too...
I still do, just not that pussy grabbing DONkey running the show at the moment or his policies & practices.
What to paint next? I don't know... It will be fun that I'm positive of and I will consume much cannabis while I do, that I am sure of too!
With TLC & THC.. in chocolate for me!
