You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice. Bob Marley
I am almost finished a terrific book:
The Body - a guide book for occupants.
I would say it’s one of best the all time best books I’ve ever read & everyone should read it.
The younger the better.
Perhaps once we are more aware of the ‘gifts’ we have called the body we’ll take better care of them, not treat them like cars and pour alcohol down them to start them up. I recently heard, how young men are taught from a young age, to ‘work hard all week and reward themselves by getting drunk all weekend. Destroying generation after generation of young men who very much might have had better, healthier lives in all aspects if not for alcohol abuse. Difficult to achieve personal goals when exhausted from work or hung over.
It also helped me to understand men more or less…lol
The brutality of the education of medicines history, the number of mistakes made by scientists and doctors alike, their personal journey in some cases and how women are very much different from men - and should be treated as such - this especially concerning NOW. Medicine for men & women should be different and women - read why.
When I got to the nervous system - it made me sad to read his opinion, TN is one of the worst pains, ever - yes, I will agree. Pain doesn’t describe it most days. My life has been altered by this condition on almost every level. I HAVE overcome much too!!! Fuck ya!
When it stated -everyone though I had Bells palsy, I have learned and worked very hard and teaching my face how to smile again! I have remained reading - you have no idea how difficult that was- read and poke yourself in one eye every 3 seconds.. see how long you last & how much you actually absorb. I forced myself to rise above ‘the suicide disease’. I've learned how to eat, walk & thrive - with this condition as well as PAINT. As I ponder all I have learned these 10 years plus - I’m grateful.
It took a disease that makes me feel like I’m dying - EVERY DAY to LIVE by my own rules - take NO bullshit & here I am. Grateful for every day. Stronger every day.
I really can’t recommend this book enough - the more you know the better off you will be - in ALL decisions - very important to your health & happiness.
