The Clouds between us.
I was asked recently if art work I created could be used as a Documentary title cover - I am honoured to do so! I painted a gift for a boy named Tres after I read about him on social media, specifically then, his battle with trying to use cannabis.
I asked Tres mom Brandy, what he liked and if I could create something special for him. Brandy was struggling at the time getting Cannabis for Tres (to use medically) and I offered her some advice… FIGHT! Again, Dr.s have no issues prescribing 'medicine' that over time destroys and often complicates issues and what is it ANYONES business if she wants to ease her sons pain using a plant to do so - proven countless times over. I hope she is researching psilocybin. It’s been a couple of years & Tres uses cannabis now regularly and it has helped him, his mom & the entire family! A gift from God, cannabis & Tres.. a child of God. Cannabis (& God) introduced us - I'm grateful.
I was thinking this is the perfect title - The Cloud Between Us - what keeps us from seeing each other, as Jesus & God want us to SEE each other. Instead our vision becomes impaired by politics, opinions, stigma and lack of education, lack of compassion & empathy & even fear. If only we could clear away the bullshit clouds/smoke that distorts our vision, see each other for who we are, children of God, all struggling at times - all trying to make our own way. Tres is a gift from God, a living miracle - still here, long after Dr.s anticipated he would not be. I know what that is like - being told by 'medical professionals' your child would not live long, again -they were mistaken! God has a purpose for us all, to teach us AND others. Brandy shared he loves his dinosaur painting and even made him a T shirt with the image on it. Seen below.
Being asked if it could be used, brought me to tears - of joy! To think, I might be able to help them, by sharing a painting created with LOVE & have others educated about them & their journey - it’s blessing to have been asked! I'm thrilled Josh Ellenburg (the producer) of Two Chairs Media - has clear vision & a good heart. I know the documentary will succeed! God will see to it. It will be premiering at the Missouri Theatre, May 12, 2023.
On social media Brandy shares snippets of their life & journey and I’m amazed at her strength and in awe of her passion for her son. Another Mama bear & proud of it. I know there are details none of us will ever see, she is strong and courageous. They also appear to have a supportive family & more children (grown) & she & Tres are absolutely surrounded by love. I couldn’t be happier & grateful this documentary has been made! I’ll let you know when and where you can see it.
I have asked during prayer, to continue to give Brandy & Tres the strength they need & to keep Tres with us, every day is a gift. A lesson in love for us all. Oh, his dogs are a whole other story! lol Dogs are amazing - they don't see anything but an opportunity to love, no clouds in their way. God & LOVE keep them going!
