On the weekend I attended Mapping of the Mind' - 9/20 is how it is starting to be known WORD WIDE. Here I go again.. learning of another plant or rather- Mushroom, that is 'illegal' yet people enjoy using it for all reasons. I've never known anyone arrested for consuming mushrooms - thank God, how silly would that be. Mushrooms. There ARE many mushrooms that can KILL you- YES! I learned the only way Psilocybin can kill you - is when you mistake it with a mushroom that seems similar and can grow in close proximity. Mistaken identity - KNOW our schooms- ALL OF THEM.
Go for a foray and your sure to find several deadly - don't put it to the test - do not eat them! There are others - you probably know them as "Magic Mushrooms" they are called: Psilocybin - and what I learned about them was fascinating. Proven to exist & used in cultures throughout history for 'Enlightening 'experiences. Now many are being used for some patients on end of life treatments - because they are said to help you understand. They help us realize we are ONE.

As with cannabis, I've read/heard some may experience a "negative trip" and on mushrooms - it can last a long time.. hours. Others claim it's euphoric' , bringing them a sense of happiness and realization of what matters. The small stuff- it does not matter... & yes, it's all small stuff. Pulling together to stop mass destruction- like what's being discussed NOW between TWO not so calm, sane or respected humans on this planet, from what I learned it might do each of them and US a WORLD of good - to do a huge does of mushrooms. There were speakers, a demonstration on growing mushrooms and more.
I was thrilled to be asked if I wanted to bring some mushroom art! It was an honour.
This event will only GROW as our knowledge does. It was not an audience full of 'hippies or stoners', it was packed with educated students, mature adults and scholars, I'm sure there was a couple of Dr.s in the crowd as well. This painting - in my mind - is the best of both worlds. Cannabis & Mushrooms healing us- opening our eyes. The first way they should open our eyes is to realize it is WRONG to punish someone for wanting to feel better, heal - using a natural substance - provided by GOD.
Making nature illegal is unnatural.
Educate yourself- attend these events, speak to others. READ.

I want to thank my friends Justin & Abby for helping me. Abby is a talented artist friend who also shared my table! Her stickers were a hit - I've included one of my favourite pieces of HER work below. Hee hee hee- it cracked me up. One of the best I've seen to date.
I also met Katie cannabis- who is LOVELY. Her spirit for gardening ALL things good was evident, we talked about canning vegetables, crafts, Matt (her partner - also known in the cannabis community) and more. She has a lovely smile, calming voice and it was a wonderful treat for me to meet her. It's always blessing to meet someone who is truly passionate about the plant. It shows.
We are in a HEAT wave here in Canada- Ontario anyhow! I can't believe it.. it's officially fall- late September and today again- heat wave- thankfully - we did NOT close the pool as we usually do early September - so the girls and I are out there, I've got my bathing suit on already. .. ready to paint & enjoy this day outside.
It's national love note day' or I'll call it -send a card of love day!
& national pancake day- pancakes for dinner !! Yeah!!! hee hee hee
defiantly nothing from oven. Don't turn on the air conditioning!!
This is Canada- 1/2 the years were up to our knees in SNOW! & I just heard on the radio- Thursday we will be 'back to regular September weather'- SO ENJOY every heat full second- I say this now while it's still cool at 6 a.m.
Others around the world suffer with heat all the time- so we should be able to "endure" it for at least 2 more days!
