My goodness the stars were magnificent the other night! 'Stargazing. gouache on black 8 x 8
I let the dogs out to pee before bed and the sky was blanketed in stars. So many, it was if you could reach up and grab one. Everything had a gentle glow I was so taken with the stars I don't remember looking for the moon. We are stardust! Don't forget it. WE are God's creations, each unique - loving and lovable, created to create. Last night there was an incredible light show- and I missed it, I fell asleep. Hopefully tonight there will still be a remainder of star brilliance to witness.
Leaves - how grateful I am to see them and would welcome each one individually if possible, after the rain it's as if they exploded onto the trees & I've already seen a hummingbird and butterfly, finally. Where are you happiest? Most content? For many it's in nature... I'm no exception. Lately, I've noticed my scrolling exploring habits are consuming too much valuable painting, woods exploring time, you think you're just gonna be on for a few moments and zoom - an hour (or two) is gone. I admit I enjoy recipes on instagram as they are always fast & easy & I get many creative ideas which can be a problem in it self, too many ideas are overwhelming as there's not enough hours in the day - especially IF on social media. A break is necessary, I'll limit myself to PIN for a few days, weeks possibly. So natures is where I will be spending more time, outdoor painting, mushroom hunting and adventures with the girls. Nature is where I am closest to God & that is always a priority.
As for recipes, there's lots on PIN and in cookbooks, I have several... as a matter of fact my mom just gave me another that she's had forever 'Campbells soup treasury of recipes! I plan on trying the tomatoes soup cake! I've included the recipe for anyone interested in giving it a try, there's always extra tomato soup. There was also a typed out pickle recipe and on the last page a hand written recipe for Grape (juice) wine! It sounds interesting - I'm not going to try but please let me know if you do.
Blog posts will continue, it's become habit & a way to communicate with several who I know read daily (thank you) I hope you enjoy my art adventure. We are here to share - our talents and life lessons (good & bad) that it might help and encourage others. Inspire & Encourage to create - we are created to create!
I'm a bit behind on Bugs Bunny art as I hinted at -it's on the way. I also have 3 paintings on the go, now that I'm not scrolling I'll have no excuses to get it done! Tomorrow a blog on how painting is good for you - at any age, especially as we get older. Have a creative, productive, inspiring day!
