Speak, Lord.. twirling art 9" acrylic on wood.
These paintings are very relaxing to paint - mostly because I use only 3 colours. Light blue, dark blue & white. I draw each one from imagination (usually while watching a movie) and each is different with the exception of the subject - a lone (not lonely) bear, looking off into the distance in awe of Gods magnificent creation - earth. I absolutely love painting them, I've decided to paint one with words inspired by each book -in the bible.. as you can see I'm at 1 Samuel 3:9 for this painting. Words from God that touch my heart. Speak, Lord, for your servant hears. Yes, I do - sometimes God says - walk away... turn the other cheek, not always an easy task, I'll admit. Other times, I hear God simply remind me: I love you. What more does one need to hear? Through practice I've learned to ask "Speak Lord.." & then sit quietly awaiting a reply... try it. What have you got to lose? It helps to have faith in God & read the bible... the word of God.
I have another already sketched and one side painted on my desk - a bear & bunny this time. I've painted 6 like this, all hanging & twirling somewhere in my home for me to see & be reminded with words that inspire my mind & heart. Surround yourself with God & God will surround you. This does not mean, by any means.. my life is perfect, it's not. Life is full of struggles & the most difficult events/people have brought me closer to God, that I KNOW. I can think back few years ago when God spoke to me very clearly... I listened and it change my (our life) when EVERYONE around me did not believe.. I believed in God & myself. A dream come true? No... A prayer answered, yes. Anyone who 'knows me', knows this to be true, they watched it happen. That's all we can do - live our life, loving God and God will do the rest. Do I think it will be smooth sailing from here on out? Probably not, but with God I will get through anything & everything.
If you live in Ontario you've heard, watched & read about the car thefts happening - it's out of control. A police officer suggested people leave their car key fobs at the front door ', let them take the vehicles to avoid harm... which backfired - "why not just give the keys to the thief?" some retort. I do get the direction he was trying' to go. Then, I read an interesting take on the speculation that media focusing on Boeing plane crashes in order to discourage travel. That got me thinking... I've read plans are on for Toronto to become one of the 'state of the art' - 15 minute cities as is Edmonton. The WEF has stated in the 15 minute cities no - one will NEED a vehicle & no-one will own cars - is this the start of a plot to discourage car ownership in Toronto, Ontario? What do you think? Police can't seem to get a grip on the situation, clearly - not if they are advising we leave our keys at the door to make it easier - albeit less dangerous during a home invasion. I've not had a vehicle stolen but I've read some brutal realities, one woman reported she wished they had not found her vehicle as it ended up costing her more & her insurance has risen- her deductible increased. Gas is going up too. At first - 15 minute cities were deemed a conspiracy theory - and here we are. I also ponder - rent in cities sky rocketing - is this to control the 'riffraff'', put them up in camps - out of sight out of mind? .. As long as they don't try to leave.
"You'll own nothing & be happy"...says the elite as they cruise the globe on private jets, dining on steak - while encouraging the rest of us to eat snake! lol - oh my, if you don't laugh you'll cry.
Imagine having to apply for a permit to leave - to go visit friends or family, not in your 15 minute allotment. Road trips are 'right to passage' in Canada. I drove myself to Halifax in my early 20's.. it will be sad if we are no longer permitted to explore our own country, let alone neighbourhoods. If you own an electric vehicle, they say they will be turned OFF, should you attempt to go outside your limits. It's been discussed so much - I've changed my mind on wanting an electric vehicle. Either way, if you think it's a conspiracy theory guess again, I think we will see this happening in less than 5 years. Are you happy where you are? Can you do all you want to do in a 15 minute radius? Time will tell.
That place in Saudi Arabia, the 'line city' - have you read about that? I've seen videos of them building it - impressive!
I'm very curious to watch that development - like a Star Wars movie coming to life before our eyes!
What an amazing time to be alive... I thank God for every day of discovery - Speak, Lord, for your servant hears!
What shall you teach me today!? Teach only Love - that is what we are.
