Ribbit... gouache on black 8 x 8.
A neat thing happened with this frog.. deciding to make my next sketch I grabbed my black pad and opened it and there was this little guy - Ribbet' not Ribbit, I changed it when painting. As if to say "Hello... I've been waiting fer ya." as he chills on chanterelle's . Like were gonna have that talk about something , some valuable lesson on life.
I complete forgot drawing him, it was a pleasant surprise. It easy to forget some of your drawings when you draw all the time. Straight to the desk to paint and time-lapse (on Instagram) which is neat to watch a 'few seconds' that actually takes a couple of hours to create. The spore flow you see is brown metallic paint (Lislinka.com) paint which shimmers ever so.
He was a joy to meet this un-expected handsome fellow!
I received a lovely wind chime Bell yesterday, a gift. It made my day. I was ringing it a bit -heehee before Storm said -"Mom! Enough already!" & asked for the senders address so he could thank him, which made me laugh. I ring it every time I go out. I might bring it in and put it at an open window to really hear it's song when windy out. I feel like this friend and I play 'thank you tag,' which is kinda a wonderful game to play. More people should play it.
It's a busy painting day, I have cards to finish, a new wooden cut out idea waiting (in my head) to be created, seeds to show & sow some lovin', woods to explore, paintings to paint, bible to read, God to ponder... what a perfect day!
