Do you make your own dog food?
I just did & was thrilled with how everyone loved it & the look of the stool sample they left was wonderful too. I love my dogs - want to 'see' if your dogs have any health issues - stoop & LOOK at poop before you scoop. Sometime you will also find if they have been eating something they should not... like crayons.
I found the recipe on PIN, made it in the slow cooker & we are NEVER going back.
Chicken, lean hamburger, brown rice, carrots, sweet potatoes, green peas..

On the weekend Norm opened a can of very expensive (top of the line) puppy food , all natural, nothing fake - all the best for our baby.. he gave some to Ginger but I think Scruffy snuck it all when he was not looking because when I got up only a bit later, she was hungry - I decided to feed some to her.
What I saw in that can - I could NOT even film without gagging! I wanted to vomit & it was huge. Later that day I told Norm "...return this puppy food to the store, go look at the can." (because I KNOW he would doubt what I tell him). He was speechless.
Our eyes met - no words needed.
He took the can back to the store and the woman said -
" ...it's probably because you left the can open."
A couple of hours? I don't think so - & IF so - HELL NO!!!!!
Norm said to her exactly what I had been thinking- "I've owned and fed dogs for over 40 years NOW & We've NEVER seen anything like that before! That thing was in there!"
I agree - I still can't think of it- it makes me sick. That afternoon I started to make the wet dog food. They looked at me in shock & with drools of happiness & Storm said "...that dog food smells good!" lol He happened to visit!
There is always a full kibble bowl, none of my dogs fight over food- No growling over the food bowl- it is not permitted. Ginger is learning fast we don't behave like that. She is learning "NO!" - then I sit her in a corner away from the pack- she does not like to be left out- never have I seen a dog think like this little one- you can see her thinking.
I LOVE dogs.. all dogs. Ginger did do one little thing I was not too thrilled about... found one of my pencils! My bad.
I don't want to tell you the name of the puppy food in case it was a one time thing- it was the most expensive in the pet store - we got more than we paid for... let me just tell you IT turned us both off of canned dog food in an INSTANT... I would not be lying if I were to say it looked like some creature out of an alien movie and it was big.
Tomorrow's painting Ginger makes her painted debut' & is for all cannabis & dog lovers.
