Praise Jesus! I heard a black comedian (I think his name is black Mike) say "someone please paint a Black Jesus!" Sure. WWJD? Do you think he would even answer you if you asked him "what color are you? " Black & white are not 'colors' - we are taught in art:
White represents Light & Black represents Dark - the rest are the colors- so the correct way to ask would then be "What shade are you?"
Hmm.. I guess I am a shade of very light beige.
If a dark person wants to see a dark Jesus- I'm sure Jesus would not have any objections, we are not exactly sure how he looked when alive - I doubt he was "white" since he was from a different country - what would he be doing if here - now? NOT on wall street, he'd be in the garden smoking some of Gods herbs put here for ALL to enjoy - reminded he is LOVED no matter the shade.
I'm pleased with this Black Jesus in the garden, I did not look at anything, not one photo- it was purely from the heart. I can't explain but it was a great way to spend the day- with Jesus - any shade, thinking, smiling and remembering: I am loved.
I don't alwasy feel it- I bet you don't either.
I did not plan on painting Jesus, I was working on an octopus but I'm grateful for the distraction. I think I'll paint more - this way, I will never forget I am loved.

Please note* I've been made aware someone has been trying to hack my accounts.. luckily I was informed it is being tracked back to the person responsible. Time will tell, wait & see.
Who would do such a thing? I wonder....
I'm happy people pay attention to these things - so I can keep on being creative!
