My canaine companion cards are taking off!
I'm pleased to share - I get regular orders for my pooch cards - which is awesome for me- because I can't think of a subject I enjoy more. DOGS! I love my dogs. I have a new puppy lined up for the spring and just the thought excites me/us. Theres alwasy more room for a dog to love. In our home & hearts.
I've painted a few dogs recently including Ginder in full attitude mode (acrylic on wood) and have another of Poppy - my precious lined up. The dog above reminded me of Poppy & it was difficult as that little doggy has passed on... painting it reminded me of how precious time with our little pups is. My girls absolutely LOVE their new home! It's a little cold this past week- so they choose to keep an eye on things from the comfort of the front window. They love to run & frolic in the snow - but quickly turn and run back in the moment their tiny paws start to tingle from cold. Poppy goes out ONLY 3 times a day - if that. She does do her business on pet pads (great to train your small dogs to use pads for the winter months & travel) and I don't mind at all- better that than her feeling too cold or uncomfortable.
Please, don't leave your dogs outside.
Daisy would love to stay outside all day - but she too gets cold in the evening when the sun is gone. You still have time to contact me if You would like a custom dog card completed in time for the holidays! Each card is painting on a 5 x 7 acid free water color card with matching envelope and fit very nicely into a standard 5x7 frame.
A sweet little gift for the dog lover in your life.
Ginger painting on wood panel - I've also decided to take a few dog commissions of
painted pet portraits on a wood panel.
