A Christmas Psilocybin Pinocchio, because many mushrooms grow on wood - Don't ya know.
Last night, I watched (on Apple) Pinocchio with Roberto Benigni from Life is Beautiful.
If you are a fan of Pinocchio - I highly recommend this version. At times - visually, I did consider it a little 'frightening" definitely the adult version compared to the Disney classic.
Being familiar & fond of the Disney version, I wondered at times - how will they show the upcoming scene?
Each time being pleasantly surprised. I especially liked the Donkey and Tuna. Now, I have two versions of a classic tale to enjoy. When Gepetto was creating Pinocchio you could feel the love & passion the artist was putting into his creation.
I also loved the woodpeckers!
The movie is in Italian or dubbed in English, either version is a beautiful version of the classic, Walt would be pleased (I think). It made me want to create, paint a Pinocchio - as you see here, my morning warm up painting.
Since I rented it, I'm going to watch it again today, in Italian to appreciate the special effects & costumes & a language I love to listen to.
The classic 'Disney' mode has kicked in... I plan on binge watching all the classics I can over the holidays, bringing back the memories of classic animation and my short encounter at Sheridan - very inspiring. There are so many Christmas movie out right now, usually with a woman meeting some man in a castle lol , amusing but I'm getting the impression - you've seen one you've seen them all. 'Christmas Vacation' can always crack a smile or two.
I've sent Santa letter... lets see how good I've been. Hee hee.
My kitten btw has named himself - every time I turn around he's in the bluejay peanut bowl, napping or playing with peanuts. Peanut. Arrow is absolutely smitten with the kitten, she even lets her suckle at her nipples - it's so frigging sweet, it's impossible not to go - Awwwww. Grateful for the addition of purring love to my pack.
