Painted Cannabis Leaf
I found this leaf pressed in the pages of a ‘cookie cook’ book - at least 3 years old. Let me tell you - it was not easy to paint. It’s very delicate..
it kept sticking to my fingers, i stuck to the brush.. lol it was a learning experience. It almost snapped in the wind on it’s photo shoot, against a forest backdrop.
Canadian is the look I was going for - keeping nature on nature.
I love this leaf & all it stands for. HEMP too, a rockstar which has taken a backseat’ with legalization, soon to appear in more ingredients for healthy meals. Spring is springing you can smell it in the air… soon we’ll have 4 plants on the patio to enjoy visually, healthily & spiritually thank God for every seed. The size of this leaf made it a fun canvas- I don’t think I’d enjoy a small one as much.
It needed tender loving painting - not like wood or canvas.
My next canvas a slice of raw edge wood with a huge knot for the sun - looks like a masterpiece & I’ve not touched it.
9 days to Spring and the driveway has almost melted. Yay!
