I read about the Government, instead cancelling fireworks- they’ll focus on orange fireworks. Big fucking deal. Do you know how much a professional Fireworks display costs for the city of Toronto? I googled this a.m. lets ‘start’ at $6,000. Money up in smoke.
Not to mention bad for the environment, dangerous and terrible for animals.. especially frightened dogs. Orange fireworks. Phhbt.
If only every community put that money towards missing Indigenous women in Canada - that would be celebrating Canada day- helping women. Or how about helping Indigenous prisoners (which there are too MANY), or helping generations that have been abused heal- with mental health issues.. or how about making sure our Indigenous communities have access to clean running water? The ways to help are endless.

I love being Canadian but I’ll pass this ‘Canada Day’- I especially won’t be having orange fucking fireworks - as if that will make a difference - It’s still ‘celebrating’… what?
The murder of thousands of innocent children.
The generations of Indigenous families of taken, tortured & abused & MURDERED children are NOT celebrating.
Me either.
If only, instead of putting on a 'SHOW’… the government could have shown respect.
