Have you seen the new logo the Ontario Government has chosen for the
Ontario Cannabis Store? Could you get any more BORING, Eh?
It is unbelievable the mentality surrounding these decisions - not only is it boring but here we go again Canadians (Ontario) are missing a serious opportunity to do this RIGHT.
Educate, embrace and provide a interesting, relatable & classy logo for merchandise - since when is this not a business opportunity??
What tourist will spend any money on that boring logo??
It reminds me of a electrical company- a boring one at that.
I did my own logo (my first try) & it's much better than the other if I do say so myself -
& Guess what!!?
It WOULD NOT have cost >>>> $650,000.00 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Heck, I would gladly sell it to the Government at 1/2 the price!! $300,ooo.oo just to save the tax payers some money- so they might have some money to spend on cannabis.
Who's going to buy it there when you can go to a creative option either in person or online? With atmosphere, personality and is not STILL attaching a NEGATIVE stigma on cannabis. This bull around no logo - is exactly that. When I think of how amazing some of the places I've seen have been... sigh.
It must be nice... I should have known they would NOT have opened it up to the public to enter to design the logo. Did this company know anything at all about cannabis- it does not reflect in their work- lol - as a matter of fact- I don't think it was such a wise move on their part- yeah I guess so for the $$$ but if this is a sampling of their 'marketing' it leaves - much to the imagination, I would hire someone else in the future.
$650,000.oo of OUR tax paying dollars went into designing' that logo.
How does it reflect the plant, the medicine or Ontario for that matter?
Will you go to the OCS for your cannabis?
If this is any indication of what's to follow... more boring.
I'll pass.
One more reason to support individually owned dispensaries - places who actually care for us and our cannabis.
