It's November! Yay! 2020 is almost over.. lol I'm looking forward to winter!
Norm too, now that he's stacked some wood.
To lock our patio doors we have locks but also have a wooden bar across the bottom - how boring I thought... so I took my bar up a knotch by adding a bear! Now this little bear gets to stand guard looking out the window while he works - and when not in use- he looks darn cute just standing around. I think I'll make a pair of loons for the other door.
Fun & functional, ART can often be.
I did not want to encourage Halloween. Covid SUCKS.
Trick or treating - just was'nt worth it in my mind- but there were a few activities up here that sounded like fun. I 'get' little ones still want to have fun- we just have to come up with more creative, safe ways.
I love it here.. have I told you? I don't get out much these days but there are a few places we frequent and a few business that have been 'outstanding' during this covid crap... I think they will survive it - perhaps even THRIVE thru it.
Abbey Gardens- I love this place. I hope to be more involved next summer & donate a bit more art , in particular for the kids area.
Glecoff's family store in Haliburton is incredible.. I message them on IG and ask- do you have...? They send me a photo back! Norm picks it up.. virtual shopping
Organic Times in Minden -has everything organic and very helpful on line and in person!
West Guilford shopping centre - a tiny store -packed with all you need post office, LCBO and a great butcher.
Lucs brew- Kombucha- which I drink regular- this is not only the best Kombucha we've ever had but Luc himself is kind, friendly (interesting) and delivers... he is a hard working young man and I doubt Covid will effect his business.
The MillPond restaurant in Carnarvon is always good - as is The Peppermill - now I might be partial because they are close. The Chinese food from Minden - is fantastic btw.
Pine Reflections in Carnarvon is still the perfect little gift store - where I can find my friends gifts - MADE in Canada (Go figure) & a stunning little garden centre, Sue really knows her stuff. Some business will struggle but will survive because they have NICE humans running them - mostly. Others will go under - why.. covid among other reasons.
I hope everyone remembers - when one door closes another opens.
Now it's 7 a.m. .. someone needs to explain time change to Arrow- who's had me up since 4 and now I'm craving a banquet burger from the millpond- think there open yet? lol
HAVE A creative start to this lovely NOVEMBER!
