Show yourself some love! Making neons signs would be a perfect job for Bender.
Painting this, I learned: I need to learn how to paint neon, better. There's always room for improvement.
Some days this world doesn't appear so loving, people are struggling & we forget to show love & appreciation.
Me included. It's been an emotional 2 years - arguing over things I never thought we'd argue over.. like Masks.
It's time to move forward, the World is demanding it.
What an awakening this all has been, around the world.
I've had an awakening on my biggest regret & understand NOW - perhaps I was better off, I'm starting t think so.
My regret was not focusing when at Sheridan for classical animation & for not continuing in that field. I've since been educated & it's not as glorious as I've imagined it would be. Back then, my thoughts of a life of 'in betweening' others drawings, wasn't appealing but I regretted it all the same, with every animated movie I've watched, imagining - 'that could have been my work'. I've had the pleasure of chatting with someone in the busines and have been educated on several realities - it's just like any job, not so great all the time.
I watched a documentary on Futurama: *Top Docs fantastic selection, free to watch. https://topdocumentaryfilms.com/futurama-retrospective/.
If you are a Futurama fan, you'll be interested. As it happens, the animators -most of the time, were treated like crap. Irony, without them - there would be no 'Futurama'. It's all about money (again), but the stress for the animators - must have been difficult - putting your heart (with art), time, energy into a project & never knowing if you had a job the next week, always being told what you 'should & should not' create, must have been a disappointing experience.
I'm amazed the show lasted as long as it did.
I am a fan. Every episode usually makes me laugh, I enjoy the visual as well as the sarcasm & reference to the 20th century. The future is also impressive, at times they appear to have predicted a few things - watch it and you'll see.
It must have been draining for all those involved with its creation to not feel appreciated or loved.
I wonder if they have any regrets... all lessons God would have us learn.
Be Bender- show yourself some love, sometimes others might forget.
A line from my favourite episode "Me want snusnu!"
Thank you, all the talent animators who brought us Futurama!
Next: My love for Tex Avery Cartoons & another documentary I am exited to see.
