Guess what! I'm down to the last 2 pages of my calendar & then the COVER! This was an idea I was playing with - not in the calendar but the cover will be a work of it's own - suitable for framing! ;D I will announce my Marvellous Mushroom Calendar officially next week! I think this coming weekend is the first official foray with the MST!
Will you check it out? Depending on the weather & my sons schedule, we just might.
I saved the cover for last... it dances in my mind over and over - or was that the 'dancing mushroom that Storm picked up for us to dine on yesterday -delicious - $ as much and as tasty as a good steak, I simply saluted them in butter and it was a wonderful lunch - we highly recommend - we were only able to purchase it at natures Emporium

The gazebo furniture has arrived.. Today is anticipated 25! Woot woot! The girls and I can't wait- up with the birds - we'll be enjoying it outside later today- some serious sketching happens out there and painted in here. Right now - it's back to painting January (I also worked backwards) you don't see all my work - I actually have been working on a few projects and do from time to time work on commissions.
Another yesterday - this is how the conversation usually goes:
Do you take commissions?
It depends.. I usually ask a few questions of what is desired, and simply decide if IT is something I feel I can be passionate about OR want to paint- if not, I pass. IF I do decide to paint the request I then set a price and ask for payment in full (I've had no problems to date) and mail the person/client the finished work - usually this is the FIRST time they see it. The way I look at it- if you are contacting me - you already like my style so LET me create what I feel is the best I can & then it's a surprise too!
If you want me to draw something that you will 'change' several times- to be exactly as YOU want it- then learn how to draw.
I'm not being sarcastic or curt - perhaps that is what some should do.
Anyway the request yesterday was right up my alley so I said 'YES!
Now, I get to go out and play with bears in the backyard. Metaphorically of course.
