Yes they are!! I'm sure there's properties to mushrooms we are not even aware of - let alone mushrooms yet to be discovered. All mushrooms are magical. Magical when they appear over night and dissolve back into the earth a day or few days later. They come in every shape & colour - all are edible - some only once. Some are deadly and just a little taste might make you very sick - some even kill you. Make sure YOU KNOW your mushrooms before consuming them. Others heal. Some being researched are said to show positive results for helping with Depression, Dementia & Alzheimer's & some are presumed to shrink cancer... but don't believe me>>> do some research. That's just the ones being researched - who knows what mushrooms are capable of.
They also clean the earth after nuclear fallout, can help dissolve plastic & new material has been created -using mushroom mycelium - you can own a mushroom purse! Judging from the amount on social media, they are also a lot of fun to paint! I agree. All mushrooms are magical - each in it's own individual way. I enjoy making letters inspired from nature.
Below is a stump covered in Dryads Saddle.. an edible mushroom. I like it, it can fry up crisp and takes on what ever you are cooking (just like tofu), use it in soups, sauces or even on your pizza - or dry to use at a later date. I can't possible use all that we find -it sure is lovely though! And a reminder of how resilient, appearing year after year with no help from humans. Thriving in nature as all nature should. It's officially mushroom season - happy hunting!
Today on the desk 'Rockin' Robin' who constantly looks pissed off. This robin does not seem to understand, if we let it go it would be dead soon - since it can't fly. It's amusing when it hops down to the front branch to stare me down as if to say: WTF! Let me free human!! Oh well, I'm not being overly friendly as I want it to fly free when ready so it can think what it wants. It's not hungry albeit, as I'm hunting worms and mealworms & other critters I think it will enjoy snacking on and it's taking all I give. As neat as it is to see up close, I'll be happiest when it is free again.
