I miss Mushrooms.
I miss Foray weather- hunting for the many different mushrooms across Ontario. It has increased my appetite for them as well therefore they are consumed in most every meal I make... portobello await. Instead of outside they are appearing on my desk, I'm going to 'gift' a couple in the spring at Forays - it's a wonderful way for a family to spend quality educational time together - I'll put one in a basket and wait for SPRING to inspire a little mushroom hunter.
Wait until you see my new 'Mexican Medicine' painting...
the medicine has a secret message for us & so does my painting for all of you!
Storm said 'I should wait until valentines day to show it.
It took 3 days with some frustration but mostly fascination!
I just watched the movie 'Maudie', I did not realize the extent of her life in Canada or how severe her pain was. It left me feeling blue but inspired. The arthritis part especially got to me. The drastic changing of the weather is simply painful, I'm sure I'm one of many.
It went from 5 and muddy to rain, freezing rain and now a blizzard outside - this one day.
This is why we talk about the weather- it effects our lives dramatically. I'll be going to bed early, smoking some very good cannabis from Storm - I wish you could smell it- it smells like 'citrus' so much I thinks it explains my craving for lemons, blood oranges & pineapple.
Someone passed away, I didn't know him very well but I saw him quite a bit... it came as a shock. I cried all day of and on, I couldn't stop thinking of the family & the loss they must be feeling.
A shooting has occurred in the USA in a school & kids are dead.
Here we are again, 15 with a gun in a school... blah blah blah.. does anyone listen?
LOOK who once again pays the price for Adult laws & their "safe" guns.
My mom sent me quite the comfort food package delivered to my door, cabbage rolls, scalloped potatoes, meat pies.. & OX tails! I was craving after a friend of Storms mom made some earlier in the wee with were equally as tasty but completely different. Geez my mom can cook... everyone is well aware of this fact. I am thankful for "HOME-made food- I had a bit of everything and passed out for 2 hours.
Now it's time to paint.
