Mental health Monday, meow!! One lick. 8 x 8 gouache on white
It only took Alice one lick of a mushroom to change her size, this kitty is in for a surprise! lol. Actually I was remembering the last cat who attempted to take my tiny peyote but spit it out soon after from the bitterness, I doubt cats eat mushrooms... there's always a first. I can't believe watching videos of cats who are crazy for corn on the cob. Most paintings lately are more about exploring backgrounds and colour.
Gouache dries fast! Faster in the summer -so backgrounds that blend can be very challenging to accomplish, it takes much practice, it also dries a different shade, getting the smooth gradient is not an easy task at times. Too much water can leave a runny, muddy mess. It's all about balance. Isn't everything? This cooler weather I find painting more enjoyable, paint blends easier because it's not drying so fast. Today is grey, damp & cool - a terrific day to paint & make some comfort food to freeze.. like chicken curry.
Psilocybin, Gods medicine used since the beginning of time - once again in the spotlight - YAY!
Yes, I've mentioned it a few times & will continue -there are alternatives to medication for depression. It's heart breaking learning of all the medications some people take, at once. No one stops to ponder how they all mix and mingle in our bodies. The evidence is clear - it's a chemical cocktail for our ageing population, many can't think or function and are confused to as why. Why? What are you putting into your body - READ the side effects - take control of your health & life.
Eat better - stop drinking alcohol... stop watching the news.
This kitty understands (as science is proving) you only need a little - a micro dose to benefit from Psilocybin, helping with anxiety & depression. I know a few who I think would benefit from psilocybin but as with cannabis, you can only 'suggest' they try - the rest they have to research and figure out on their own. Psilocybin are said to be the safest 'drug' available with no addictive attributes. I forget to take them, I usually remember when feeling exceptionally blue, then one micro dose or two (3 days in a row) usually does it for a few weeks -if not months at a time. If one person is helped by reading this, then I will repeat it, often. Had I known what I know now, I would never have taken a prescribed medication(s) for depression, I still remember how terrible I felt on them. They'd lift my mood for a few weeks then, I'd spiral down and it would be suggested - I'd add a medicine to help my medicine, how messed up is that?
I thank God, for natural medicine. If you can - try it first... before you take an addictive DRUG for life, with numerous side effects, that do indeed mess with your internal organs - namely the brain.
The choice is yours.
Fantastic Fungi on Netflix, is a great place to start to understand - as well as witnessing some beautiful, stunning visuals.
Also on Netflix (or you can read the book) How to change our mind. Gaia is another site to get tons of information on natural medicines, they have a free trial - check out - seacrh psilocybin.
Keeping active & creative is the best natural' medicine - I'm very excited today -I'm painting on paper & wood!
