My son asked me if I wanted to see a movie- A mushroom Movie - at that! Last night we went to the MST of Toronto to see a movie- It was an enjoyable evening - and I'm determined to attend more - I was still not in the 'socializing mood' with the tail end of this cold lingering but I'm so glad we went. What a fantastic group of people- I giggled last night as I drifted off.. my white hair attraction- last night there were several handsome white haired gentlemen woohoo - who knew lol & ARTISTS too. Friends that I usually only 'see' on IG there - Justin, Antonio - talk about revitalizing!
I'm determined to get to know a few better.. I'm going to find some new 'artsy friends' to hang out with. Like minded, stimulating art conversations with some baked goods thrown in for fun.
The documentary was about exotic mushrooms- In search of the Holy Veil' -just watching it has me on google looking for some new specimen to paint today, I also made up my mind last night to attend this years Cain Foray in September. It's going to be a wonderful weekend! I know it NOW.
I struggle 'socially' & my human interaction is limited- this is easy to encourage when I go out and have unpleasant encounters with strangers which is what happens it seems on almost every adventure. My last visit to CrabTree & Evelyn at the Upper Canada mall has me never wanting to shop again, bullied by a store employee a new shopping experience - are there new selling strategies for struggling shops? Let me berate you into buying something and if you decline (nicely) I'll hound you more? No thanks - I will never enter the store again. It's that simple. Stuff.
Surround yourself with freaky mushrooms - stimulating conversation, creative people and you won't care about others or STUFF - it only takes a few nice people to help you forget about all the others out there. I don't know what I enjoy more, going places with Storm or our actual car rides - it's where we seem to have some great conversations, yesterday about the 'remarks made by the experts', Storm tells me York Region police hit a nerve with a few people and their 'Cannabis Education Bullshit', enough where it was admitted they should NOT have made such remarks because they are NOT experts... more tomorrow. LIES
Blatant LIES by the police is how they CHOOSE to educated OUR FUTURE.
Professional?? Adults. They should be ashamed of themselves as should the Professional NURSE who also lied . Phhhpt. So much for credibility.
Storm introduced me to a friend a Gouache teacher. Hello!? A fellow gouache lover? - lol- I was nervous. An informative, wonderful evening it was as usual - I'm going to hang out more with my mushroom friends.
I see the MST already has it's first foray date: Sun. March 18, '18
www.myctor.org/forays/foray-info-locations
Foray/walk will be led by Lawrence Millman with an emphasis on discovering cold weather specimens and identifying available polypores. Outdoors event, dress accordingly.
If you have not been set the date! I can't wait! I've designed a mini painting set up for travel and have a new 'designated mushroom' painting black moleskine just waiting.
Currently on the desk is a sloth smiling at me! How can you not feel good when you stare into the eyes of a smiling sloth?? Sitting on a giant Olmec head- Did you read about the giant Sloth bones discovered? Imagine that... A sloth larger than a human!
More on cannabis of course and a NEW downloadable craft - what will you create today?
